Another reason I will stay in Parker. I have never paid to launch anywhere in Parker or the lower river.
Did you get a senior discount for @milkmoney lolEverytime I drove through last weekend with my pass, they asked how many people we had in the car and what the ages were. He was cool about it since I was totally caught off guard and had no words.

Fuck this. I’m selling my boat.
Dont remind me....lol.
I stumbled and was like "2 adults and 5 kids".......he looks at me and nods saying "and 3 kids are under 12, right?"
This was on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, nothing and didnt even check ID.

It had been done for awhile now. It is steep and the walk from ramp to car is kind of long. What the latest on the south ramp being built? Is it happening? Site 6 is looking more appealing to me.

I meant the new one near Thompson Bay. Have they released what the plan is with that and if it’s gonna be a public ramp?

Point me toward the original 'rack storage' post. I'm lost. That will be available after the rack storage goes in.
It looks like they put in a nice 4 lane road down to that area though.
Only reason I keep that stupid timeshare is the launch ramp + I trade my week to better places
Yes they have started checking again. Not so sure of confiscated though.Wheres the thumbs down button! Ive heard there has been a lot longer lines to get i With the actual checking of ids for anual passes and what not. Heard if you get cought using an anual that your name isn't on it gets confiscated.
Whole thing sounds silly to me
If I have to buy a pass at Windsor and then pay extra for my toon and extra people then I'll just pay the daily fee at the havasu marina and stop with the annual pass.
And the marina is good for boats up to 32'
Sounds reasonable . Black meadow landing charged us for a campsite and would of charged for the dog . We were only launching the boat and leaving at the end of the day . It's blm land also .
I know that I was just putting it into perspective what a federal land park charged to launch a boatWindsor is a State Park. Like Cattail and Buckskin.

Because I logged in and seen your post.So how did you know to reply to my post? Drumstick...
Pass is good for up to 3 additional adults.
Not sure what the fee is for more
Also it doesn't give a length but only "oversize"
I think the marina fees are even less for the daily fee
Park Entrance Fee
Per Vehicle:
$20 (Fri - Sun and holidays)
$15 (Mon - Thu)
Oversize parking: $10 additional
Parker closed. Mohave or lower riverI think you should all go to Mead and Mohave in protest.
Or better yet Parker, someone said there’s no launch fees.
I can’t stand the dirt / dust or I’d do the same.
The south ramp sucks, To steep. when you pull out the boat pulls a way from the winch post,There is some validity to this, but the $10 doesn’t solve anything. They need to set aside spots for longer rigs, if you have a bigger boat the spots in the main lot will have your trailer hanging out pretty far into the aisle just waiting for some body clueless to take it out.
I had always heard that there was a boat length limit at Windsor and that big boats were supposed to use the marina, however I’ve seen a 40 foot skater being launched at Windsor and that really does cause a bit of a shit show with the short ramps. The big boats should be directed to the far south ramp, that one has much longer aisles.
Pretty straight forwardThe Arizona State Parks website specifically states "Passes cannot be applied toward other park fees". So basically the annual pass covers just basic entrance for up to 4 people for the specific pass holder identified by pass holder name.
From their website;
"The Arizona State Parks Premium Annual Pass provides day-use access to all Arizona State Parks for the pass holder, and up to three additional adults in the same vehicle; with the exception of the Boyce Thompson Arboretum.
Unlike the Standard pass, this pass includes access to Lake Havasu, Cattail Cove, Buckskin Mountain, Patagonia Lake, River Island and Slide Rock State Parks on weekends and State holidays from April 1st to October 31st.
Passholder names are required. Passholder may be asked to show identification. Your pass must be displayed from the vehicle's rear view mirror for entry. The wallet card is provided for access to parks without a controlled vehicle access point only.
Passes cannot be applied toward other park fees and some programs may require an additional fee. Your pass does not include the use of camping facilities; including showers or dump station; or for stowage of water of more than 5 gallons from the park.
Your pass does not guarantee admission to a park that has been closed, restricted or has reached capacity.
It is illegal to copy or alter an annual pass. Passes are non-transferrable and cannot be replaced. Pass sales are non-refundable.
Annual passes expire 12 months from the date of purchase."
What can they do?
It's a state government thing, not a podunk city issue.
Good question. Then why are none of the other state parks doing it?
I know Buckskin does it -you have to pay if there's more than four people in your car-A lot of it's up to the park managerThen why are none of the other state parks doing it?

I disagree with the 4 person limit.
The last two times we went we took an extra vehicle with the pass
Now you have another vehicle taking up space for nothing other than bringing in more people
And there are limited number of single vehicle parking spots so you take up a trailer spot and tick everyone off
Oversize parking is not a program.
Of course you can bring in extra peopleI think you can get more than 4 people in it's just $3/per person. A lot cheaper than bringing in a whole extra car.
Agreed.
But Oversize Parking is an "other park fee" as laid out on the park fee schedule. And the pass rules clearly state "Passes can not be applied to other park fees".
Further, Arizona State Parks are subject to making rules which are approved by the Governors Regulatory Review Council which has a moratorium on any changes to rules unless the governor specifically agrees to rule making changes in writing.
The rules can be found here. https://azstateparks.com/agency-rules-regulations#101
So, basically, unless the governor specifically agrees in writing for the State Parks Department to review this rule, it stays in place. And the Parks department is broke and has been broke for a decade to include closing state parks. So it needs the fees just to barely stay open. Low taxes, low park funding.
It's half a table dance. I think anyone with a boat that big will be able to swing it.
