Windsor AZ Park - Policy Change - 50 FT oversize

Tow rig plus trailer - last weekend they started to flag and charge $10 plus including annual pass holders. They have lines painted next to the guard shack. It was pretty hit or miss but still kind of messed up. New ranger in town from what I hear. This could pretty much affect most of us. A 25 ft pontoon on a trailer with a crew cab is over 50 feet.

I forgot to put my hang tag in the new truck for spring break week and had to pay $20 to enter after getting one courtesy entry they said was a “gift”.

My not well versed in luxury program is only 49 feet in length at least. Thank god I didn’t get the longer bed

Unless they are gearing up for a “oversize” annual pass.

You think?? My 230 Cobra is almost 29’ total on the trailer. My 21’ Caliber 1 was a couple feet shorter overall. I have a crew cab with 5.5 short bed Ford that is 19.5 feet.

Unless you have a Crew cab long bed, I think you’d be fine.

Unless you have a Crew cab long bed, I think you’d be fine.

Cattail yes but ive never been ided at Windsor not in the last 5 years iv bought the seasonal pass. Me or the other name on the pass holder. Pass stayed at house and any friends or family that used the house used the pass.

I got tired of them hassling me for my pass that THEY have written wrong from day one.
They couldn't figure out I didn't have 2 first names since i share it with my neighbor
They weren't going to let me in since they couldn't match my name which was clearly written on the pass
Then the one ranger noticed the month was scribbled out and asked why.
I said the guy wrote it wrong and said there wouldn't be a problem
8 months later it's a problem
I go in to get a new pass like they suggested

Out Top Gun on the trailer was 46'. I launched at Windsor years ago towing it with a crew cab 2500 Chevy, and they gave me shit for being over the legal towing limit. They had a discussion if they were going to let me launch, and they finally did. They were going by lines painted on the ground back then as well.

Yes, all of them but 15-20 up front can handle 50+ feet.... which is any 25+ foot boat towed by a crew cab truck.

The big boys have to park in the dirt lot

We always had to park in the dirt. Wife would park the truck / trailer, and I would pick her up at the beach next to the entrance to the channel.

Do they count your drive? My truck, nose to end of trailer is 24’ 9”. Add the drive and I’m 3’5” over. I went through yesterday, and the dude said nothing. I did notice it wasn’t the usual nice gal, dude looked like a cop.

I would argue that you are only parking the truck and trailer, the boat should not count in that measurement.

I stumbled and was like "2 adults and 5 kids".......he looks at me and nods saying "and 3 kids are under 12, right?"

This was on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, nothing and didnt even check ID.
