I guess I owe everyone an update here, since it will be a year now come January of living in East Valley.

Besides all the good things of leaving Cali, we all know what those are. No need to dwell on that. Best decision I have ever made.

Bad Things I have Observed, not sure its just the cost of living in Metropolitan Area. (I'm in a mood today! LOL)
  • Drivers fucking suck here, very aggressive. Driving like LA freeways weaving in and out at 100mph+. I read a study it is because the freeways are so new and little curves that people lose their minds with such wide open space.
  • I cant afford to buy a house where I live now. All the boomers are selling and cashing out to escape the Cali invasion. Prices are 30-40% inflated in my opinion. Sucks because my girls really like Gilbert. I know, I'm part of the problem. lol
  • They are bulldozing all the farms near me, I see it literally in real time. That's why I wanted to live somewhere rural. But the city of Gilbert has other plans.
  • There were more Harris signs in my neighborhood then Trump. That sucks.
So my wife and I have talked last night that when we do leave, it may be move another state again. I'm going to sit out another year renting to see how the market goes, but the escape may continue even further. It hinges on if my landlord raises the lease, because if he does I'm going to laugh and chuckle. We are paying top market as it is.

Well when ya'll are gone I'll be defending my lonely outpost "Fort Jet Boat" here in central Mexifornia , I got a generator , guns , food and ammo and I can make beer 🤣

seriously for younger folks it probably makes sense but as a "near native" Californian at 70 plus , I own my place and all my family, extended family and business interest are here moving would take the rest of my natural life to adjust to ....................
I’m right there with you man!

Dude Utah has your name written all over it!!!

More Trump signs stated voted red!!
Traffic is less than pheonix area
Homes are inflated but you can actually afford something. (Look at me)
Lots of rural farm land and offroading state/national parks

Not as hot during summer, colder in the winter,

Plus school system blow Arizona out of the water.

Move, we will be friends!!!

If I had a work from home job that’s where I would be, definitely the most beautiful state in the US.

Wife says no way.

I wanted to live in Buckeye. That got shot down real quick!
I saw no Harris flags in Queen Creek, you get a little more house there for the $$. But a longer commute if you don't work on the East side.

My crib is just outside EMR but I have a Buckeye address. 60 seconds out of my garage I'm blasting through the dessert on the SXS's and 40 minutes I can be at Pleasant.

Someone went out the weekend before the election and put a shit ton of Harris signs at all intersections along the 24. Of course after the election everyone went and cleaned their signs up, except for the Harris signs. Typical Dem move..

I didn't see them, most likely too busy looking out for cops because of the stupid 45 speed limit on that road. It's so slow it makes my stomach hurt.

lol, I hate when I’m leading the pack down it. When I’m following I’ll do 65 no problem.

These homes are about 10-15 minutes from the city center of San Tan or 20 minutes to Queen Creek, but it’s a nice area at the base of the foothills and all the homes have property and nice views.

If I wanted that in the center of Queen Creek it’s an easy million+.

My Grandpa built in a similar style area up in Prescott Valley, the peace and quiet is nice, makes me think a 50 minute commute might be worth it..

Here is a home as an example.

Here’s one I sent to one of my kids who lives out there the other day that seems like an OK deal, but I don’t know the exact area well enough.

Looks like a decent deal, I think better could be found. I know there is plans for the 24 to be extended and an express way to be run behind those homes, so commuting will be a lot better in a few years.

I haven’t ventured east of Ironwood much but I think the quality of residents is less favorable over there.

My neighborhood in north Surprise was all Trump signs. Wide open desert right out of my rv garage house as well, with a 40 minute commute to my office in Deer Valley. Sounds like you guys are in the wrong neighborhood.

Best trump sign I’ve see is this house on needles water. Shit is huge hanging off the balcony and for-sure a custom one.

My neighborhood has over 2k homes, I only saw two Harris signs while driving through looking at Halloween decorations. Lots of Trump signs and American flags.

Someone out here was making custom Harris signs such as “Communists for Harris” “Illegals for Harris” and “Idiots for Harris” I even passed a big electronic billboard off the 60 in downtown Phoenix that had the “Communists for Harris” sign displayed lol.

Hopefully awhile longer, but I see what you’re saying. There are big lot horse properties just to the north. And between there and Carefree highway I don’t see any development happening anytime soon

Watching, Reading and Listening to everything and there is a "Mass Exit" from Everywhere and it seems that the "Woke Liberal Movement" has Infested so many places that people feel the need to leave places they once loved.

Arizona, is going to "HELL" fast. :(

I resemble that remark...... I'm off Ocotillo & Kenwothy. I take the 24 to work every day and was getting a laugh out of all the Harris signs.

Where are you located in Southern Utah? Can you get a house with an rv garage?
Yep all over town. All the neighborhoods built in the last 4 years or so all have rv garages.

I'd like to see him target CARB and the states waivers for the EPA. Do that and the price of gas comes down, all costs based on petroleum (shipping, etc) can drop (assuming the companies affected actually lower prices rather than soak up more profits), and life goes back to the same as other states.
