Found him.....Thanks for the info. I'm 67, retired, living in rural northern NV. My toys are not flashy. They are mostly '60s/'70s muscle cars or hot rods and are driver quality. I don't take them to car shows but rather just enjoy driving them around. I have a crawler Jeep and a SxS, the jet bote, and some other 4x4 trucks. They all have utility value over show value which probably makes them desirable to people in the Mexican desert so thus my concern about theft.
My place up here is on 5 acres, full fenced and in a rural area. I'm debt free and have a good chunk of $ in investments. I could keep my place here and store a lot of my cars here I guess while I explored Mexico.
I'm a pretty active guy doing a lot of hiking, fishing, exploring, etc. as well as the off road driving of my vehicles. I also recently bought an E-350 which I am converting to a camper van for traveling. My thought was to an exploratory road trip into Mexico and see what it is like. I'm just not sure where to go or what to see. I have a bit of concern safety wise, about traveling there solo (with my two dogs) and becoming a target.
