It's the name of the boat and I retired from a city where I delivered water and equipment expeditiously with flawless accuracy. :D

To The River = 2driver
Funny story. Yopengo, OC Merrill and Rivermobster and I were cruising the Parker strip and one of them said that's where 2 Driver has a place. I said do you mean 2 to the river and that all looked at me and said that sounds more like it. :skull

At the time, I was a detective and my first name is Tom, so I made it like my email address,(Dettom55@gmail). Dumb, but I'm not creative enough to think of anything else. People always ask me how it's pronounced. I tell them it's like "get'em".

You don't happen to have a Pantera do you? When I was looking for my mid life crisis car I spent a lot of time on the Pantera forum and there was a guy that had the screen name DeTom for DeTomaso Pantera.

I would like to say that it reflects my Golf Game but that would have been Double Boggie and where the hell did that shot go. I built Double Eagle Boats back in the 70's. It had to do with the move of Bill Whitney and myself from Anthony Boats to building our own boats, our style and our way. There use to be a saying its hard to soar like a Eagle when you fly with turkeys.

I like pinball. A lot.

Stirred a memory there, when I was 12-13 I found I wasn't half bad....local place was called the Game Room and I would hustle on Friday nights....Won some decent coin for a punk kid.

Ok this is ridiculous but here goes. Name is wade. Nickname turned into wader. I'm a music junkie and always played music on the boat/ parties. There's a Sirius xm station called "hair nation" so my buddy said my true calling was being a radio Dj similar to that station. = wader nation. I'm too invested to ever change it now.

I have had my personal cell phone number since it was Airtouch wireless and I lived in San Diego. Since I wont change it, co-workers and friends here in Yuma started calling me 619er. Even started trying to talk me into a 619er, 61niner, aka619er custom licence plates, but I think it is kinda lame.

Was the name on my 25ft Daytona. Had a "stealth" Pro-Charger under the hatch, so it was "under pressure". Also the story of my life, seems like i am always under pressure for something....

I bought a new CR500r Honda in 2001 - Last year they were sold

Joined a CR500 forum, and took this name with me ever since.

Now - I have no dirt bikes [emoji3]

First boat was a HydroStream V-king. Just finishing restoring a 23 Eliminator Daytona, calling it "StressEliminator". Would like to change my screen name.

I love hearing the explanation of these, keep 'em coming!

Spent a little time in County Jail. It just sounded better than "I pay your salary" as a screen name.

When we first started coming out to Havasu, people could always remember my wife Denise but could never remember me....weird, right? So it became "hey look, it's Denise and That Guy".....:skull:boobeyes:

We had a '99 Essex Sterling back in the old Hot Boat days (posted as mtndewdrops then) we camped at Emerald Cove in an Extreme toy hauler and in '03 we bought a house in Havasu off Oro Grande. We really loved our home there. Kept the boat in the garage and rented to snow birds in the winters. In late '05 we decided to sell the Havasu house. We also sold the boat, our 01' GMC Yukon XL and the toy hauler. We pretty much liquidated everything. I bought an low mile Acura NSX in '06 and my wife and I drove it to a bunch of owner events over the next 5 years.

In 2009 we realized how much we really missed boating so we decided to make a come back. First step was to buy a crew cab pickup, we got a great deal on our '04 Silverado when GM was going through bankruptcy. Then in 2010 I sold the Acura and we bought a nice 5th wheel trailer so we could camp at Emerald Cove again. By the time Memorial weekend came around we found ourselves in another Essex. This time a 23' Monarch so we could be better prepared for the Havasu wind and chop.

It felt like Deja Vu for us being back on the water again, so that is what we named the boat. :)

Let's see I'm a pussy! In 1995 my wife let me build a new Ultra 21ft LX if I allowed her to name it! How could I go wrong? Well she liked cats at the time and named the Ultra Ultrapurrfect and when I joined Hot Boat she set me up with that Manley name!!
Fast forward 10 years and again she allowed me to build another new boat again as long as she could name it!! I decided to build a Shockwave Tremor and yup she named it Purrfecttremor and that was real Manleyalso!! I kept it until last month and sold it because of medical issues.
The way I looked at it I may be a pussy but how many guys get to build Two new boats of their dreams! That's how I ended up with my current name! Will I build another new boat? Health permitting yes!!!http://www.riverdavesplace.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=470139&stc=1&d=1457060000

My former board name was Rivercrazy back when I was going to the river 2-3 times per month.

I changed it a few years ago to RCDave.

Nope. Not lucky enough to have a Pantera. But one of my old sergeants has one that he has owned since the 70's. Has a couple of very valuable old GT500's too. One of them with Carrol Shelby's signature on the hood. Me, envious.

When I was young kid I used to race motocross every week at Ascot Park in Gardena Ca. Before they closed it :thumbsdown Anyway, one night my dad got me signed in and I guess wrote our last name so bad that the announcer was calling me Ryan Undersoul the whole night. From that night on all the friends that we raced with called me Undersoul. The 02 is because my favorite # is 2.
