Sometimes I see screen names and think about where or how that person came up with that name. Some are pretty self explanatory, others are like WTMFA? :D So, what is the evolution of your screen name?

My first name is hard to pronounce, it's spelled wonky, and looks foreign. So my friends have always just called me 'B'. My married (now divorced) last name was Havens. So it was kinda fitting "MissBHaven" :skull :missb: SHortened since then to MissB

I know there have been threads like this before, but I'm too lazy to search, and we have some new members. ;)

SO let's hear it!!

Great Thread! RD should make it a stickie so we can refer back to them. [emoji106]

Well my dad was my coach growing up during the happy days era. I think my first avatar was Tom Bosley(I like my new avatar much better)[emoji12] . Last name starts with C so since he never answered to dad. Because every kid was always yelling dad Lol. It came to be Mr. C. Fast forward 20 plus years and I'm coaching and neighbor kids were calling me Mr. Mike I said call me Mr.C. So that's why I'm always just one post away from jumping the shark [emoji849] in my best Fonzie voice. Heeeeeeeeey. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

Last name is Berger. I always had a lowered crew cab dually, brgrcru. I even have a specialized license plate. That is now on our rv. Took it off the dually. Pretty much my screen name on all the boards I visit. Which isn't many.

When I sold my 19 foot Hondo jet boat and bought my 21 foot Schiada V-drive the first time we took it out for a day on the lake my sons wanted to bring their surfboards along. I told them I would only take one surfboard to the lake as I was taking my Endo racing ski. At the lake my boys saw the wake had a good shape to surf. After shortening the ski rope they took turns surfing the wake tossing the rope once they "dropped into the wave." They surfed fairly close to the transom, a little too close for my liking at times. No water bagged rollbar boat for us! Hence the name "Wavemaker." That's what they called me after they surfed the wake. Now my sons are in their early four forties and still surf the wake when we go to the lake to ski. I'm keeping the boat up so I can teach the grandkids to waterski too.

Never had my own kids so I "adopted" all my friends kids.

Their kids all have best friends that make it to a couple big lake river trips a year - I teach them how to water ski pull them in tubes, wakeboard, let them drive boat etc..

I'm "Uncle Dave" to 50-70 different kids all around the world. Al the kids started calling me that and pretty soon the parent started referring to me as "Uncle Dave".

One day I stumbled upon RiverDavesPlace... While I was looking at it my son walked into my office and said hey Sirbob bla bla bla ...

He used to watch SpongeBob as a little kid and some how he started calling me Sirbob. He only called me that for a few months but it happened right when I was joining the forum and having not done a lot of forum stuff it just popped into my mind when registering on RDP.

I'm not a Sir

And my name is not Bob

Many high speed crashes but the biggies were when I went down on a 85 GSXR in the ZUMA beach parking lot...no helmet. Showing off for the girls. I was 18. Anyone who knows....it was almost gravel back then. 24 stitches around the hole on the back of my head and the worst case of road rash the ER surgeon had ever seen. Shoulder to shoulder down to my ass.....all skin on my back was gone, ya gone including a big hole in my right shoulder, elbow to wrist on both arms, knee to ankle on both legs....skin off....gone. Fast forward to 1997....went head on with a psychotic on the freeway on my way to work. Im LUMPY head to toe and still pulling gravel out from time to time.

Mine started out as GRADS2112 which became GRADS2009 because GRADS2112 got banned. GRADS2009 got banned so I became SH411 "the gay boater" and then that ended ugly. I was then Sir Osis of the River and that got banned. I was then Tim Black and that got banned. Then I was Chine Walker and that got banned......it goes on and on but the end result was I ended up being GRADS. :D

When I was a little kid I was chunky and kind of a bruiser so my dad nicknamed me " CHARLYOX".. My name is Danny. Go figure. Anyway right when I got my last boat my dad passed away. So in tribute to him I put CHARLYOX on the back of it and made my hot boat at/ RDP screen name. View attachment 486327

... I believe the origin of mine is Irish,... But I could be wrong???...

... Used to be a band from East Los Angeles called Little Willie G and Thee Midnighters... little Willie G could sing like a mofo well I would come home from my suit and tie job on Friday nights getting ready to go out...I would sing his ballads in the shower...after a while people started coming over and would sit on the bed in the bedroom and listen to me sing... Took me a while to catch on and I got self-conscious and stopped doing it... It was then about 1965 that a friend of mine who is still my friend to this day started calling me Willie B and it has stuck...

Well back in the HB days there was an individual who went by the name of River Dave so I figured I would take the forum name of Hallett Dave.
I do own a Hallett and my name is Dave.
RD doesn't own the River.;)
Carry on.

I had just watched the movie Get Shorty when I signed up here, I had a couple of drinks in me and thought it was clever. Alcohol really does alter your judgement.
With my rants lately in the P&G section lately I should have gone with Ray Bones.

At the time, I was a detective and my first name is Tom, so I made it like my email address,(Dettom55@gmail). Dumb, but I'm not creative enough to think of anything else. People always ask me how it's pronounced. I tell them it's like "get'em".

Friends in high school called me it since there were a few Jasons in the group.
Used it on Instagram, and carried it to just about everything now.
First names Jason, last names Brewer.
