I never heard of him, but dang, 20 albums. 👍 His high end vocals remind me of Chris Cornell.

Found a smoking deal on a TT that sounds and looks awesome...a JVC QL-7 direct drive, quartz-lock, purchased from the original owner who bought it in 78/79. I need to fix a thing or two, but damn I plugged it in and the thing sounds great! It's built like a tank and has a solid Victor tonearm.

JVC stands for Japanese Victor Company and they built this table too, their version is the Victor QL-7, but they only sold them in Japan and they came with an awesome wood veneer finish. I can change my finish to veneer, but I'll probably just keep it stock/black.

And NIN is coming to town. Okay this is my third listen to the record so far... Without a doubt, one of the best, most influential records of the 90's.

Got some fresh 12" mixes that I used to spin back in the day. Even better, I'm able to buy them direct from the Lover off of Instagram.

Pretty wild..."Zoetrope Vinyl". Pain in the arse to video, but different.

Edit: cool, if you click the three dots on the player in the lower right corner and change the speed to .5 it looks better

Wild...Vince singing and Tommy bangin' on the drums and some other stuff I can't make out.

The first vid is shot at normal speed.

The second vid is shot in HD at 30 frames with the contrast set to almost black, and me holding a bright ass LED flashlight.

Drop it down to .25 playback speed and go full screen.

That's a great song, love it.

When I was 20 I was a party DJ and I had a small get together. Then some cholo's from Mira Loma showed up and after they were asked to leave, they started stabbing a group of friends. 6 people were stabbed, including chicks and our HS friend, who bled to death in front of our eyes on my front lawn.

He loved the cover of Spirit in the Sky by Doctor and the Medics. And in tribute to our friend, we started every gig with the song. The mother fuccer who stabbed him is still sitting in prison (38-years later).

Anyhow, just a great song.

There were so many different emerging genre's in the 80's, and we took them for granted, foolishly believing the variety was "the norm", and it would never end.

The first time I heard this song I was hooked on it. Kind of like the Smiths and "How Soon Is Now"...the sound was unique and different from Ozzy, the Crue, or Michael Jackson or Madonna.

I got this vinyl in today and it sounds great.

Another show that http404 and I were lucky enough to see!

Given the nature of his voice, it's amazing that all these years later McCulloch can still sing. A little rough, and sadly, the band did not pay for video/"Diamond Vision" screens at the concert, so they were really tough to see from a 1/4 mile away lol.

Mudcrutch. Tom Petty and Mike Campbell's original project from the 70's and regrouped in 2008 to release this incredible song...

So does anyone else ever have this pop-up in this thread? Don’t know what the issue is and I probably won’t be able to see the answer because this is all I see if I try to advance anywhere but the first page. Maybe I’ve been banned.🤣
