I went with my older brother and his friend, we got separated... It was so crazy, I was 17, how old were you?
I was 16.
I went went with some local rockers. A week before the concert they spied out a 4X4 trail thru Lytle Creek and on concert day, I rode in the bed of stepside pickup, up and over the mountains, it dropped us in at the backstage area. Both days.
On heavy metal day we made our way to the stage during Quiet Riot. But it was so figgin hot that my head started spinning and it was like I had Vertigo. So I tapped out and left my group. So I too was on my own.
Then I lost my Rip-It wallet and my jacket.
I had 2 dollars to my name and I bought a corn dog, which fell onto the dirt after I saw my first set of live titties.
Then I hung out at the backstage area and although I didn't know who he was atthe time, The Woz was walking along shaking peoples hands, including mine, asking how we liked the show. We all looked at each other like..."who's that short fat guy?"
I also froze my azz off at night...
All in all - IT WAS AWESOME

To this day I still wonder why in the hell my mom would let me go to something like that lol
Jealous. Would have loved to have been there.

Starting to get settled in here. Music sounds a little better here. 😉

My Cousin's band was on the first Rodney On The ROQ album. They are playing Saturday at Alex's bar in Long Beach.

Never ever, and I mean EVER, did I think I would be seeing Berlin....40 years later.

But it's gonna happen this weekend.

Never seen this and whoa, it's awesome. Two great songs performed live with Nunn in her prime...and the guitarist busts into Cat Scratch Fever. W-T-F

Terri Nunn looking great and moving good too....sorry Siouxsie, you need to step it up.

I guess there's no hope for a Siouxsie and Budgie reconciliation. And although he's in town this weekend, Robert Smith is performing in San Diego.

So Iggy will have to do.

Years ago I went though a bad divorce. I went though a lot as one could imagine.. One day I decided to pick myself up and I started to work out and run every day, It was therapy to me. I listened to "Octane" on Sirius XM radio and many songs became very personal to me. Probably the most was a song by a band "Papa Roach". They were a band that wasn't even on my radar. But the singer Jacoby Shaddix really spoke to me and this song was a big part of my path to happiness. Jacoby Shaddix was also dealing with his own struggles. I still follow him today.. He is recovering from his own vices and doing great. What a great guy, and this is the song.

Johnny and Andy...

I wish Johnny would have played Cruel World last year instead of Morrissey

I read today that Johnny was influenced by James Honeyman Scott and played with the Pretenders for a brief stint.

Oh man, to see this again.
