Finally got my GMT Pepsi today from a place called Impossible Watches in Vegas. Great experience with them and they were a few hundred below what most folks are asking. I forgot to ask them to put the extra link in it, but it was included with all the books and warranty card 😁

Total class, I think the Oyster bracelet looks fantastic on the GMT. You mentioned you needed an extra link. Hopefully you already tried the adjustable link on the bracelet. Maybe you could flip it over and slacken it a little bit. Congrats on your Pepsi.

Rolex is changing the program for 2025. You will start seeing watches becoming available at ADs. The grey market is shifting on prices below retail since this change within Rolex. There will still be VIP watches such as the Daytona, Pepsi and other bespoke offerings. I just got a call from my AD last week basically asking what watches do I want and they can get them without conditions or buying other models I do not want.

Can I give you my list? .... I can't even get the time of day in a watch shop.

Thanks Dan. I had been looking for months and it's even nicer than it looks in the pics. And I did already find the cool adjustable link 👍 , but it's still a little snug after I have it on for awhile. Thanks for the tip though ;)

There's not as many adjustments on the newer Oyster bands as the older Submariner and Yachtmaster bands that I have. I still had to use the link on my Yachtmaster 2, but now it's a perfect fit.

They seem to have a good reputation, have seen a few that were priced very well. Congrats, beautiful watch.

Have a couple seiko mods on the way (yeah yeah yeah) and a couple from a micro builder in Denmark called Henry Archer that look incredible.

But my next watch has got to be this one.. it’s gorgeous:

Love that shade of blue. what year is that watch approx?

It’s current and you can get it new right now.

You can get them from WatchMaxx which is considered gray market (so you get the original box but no warranty card, but it’s authentic) new / unworn for about 3500 bucks.

I don’t know, however, if Breitling plays the same AD games that Rolex does.

No games at Breitling ADs, but most charge MSRP. Some will do 5% or other small discount.

I’m not a Rolex fan per se, but appreciate fine watches nonetheless. Reading through many comments here about not being able to buy a Rolex at a dealer got me thinking. Why the hell do they advertise so much if the supply is very restricted?

Just a head shaker.

Brent Miller Jewelers in PA seems to be the go to for Breitling for the watch channels I follow. They seem to sell a lot out of state, so the usual no sales tax and internet discount would be worth the phone call if it was me.

Agree. Love that mint color or even better Tiffany blue, which it’s pretty close to. Always wanted to build a cigarette in Tiffany blue and grey colors. That Breitling is a beautiful piece. Hmmmmm 🤔🤔😁😁 had and sold 5 Breitlings over the years. I should’ve kept at least one. Ah, ce la vie. 😂

A lot of work went into becoming one of the (if not the) most reputable brands in the world.

That brand ranking gives them options.

You don't let that slip.

Maybe gray market it is then. 😂
I bought a new Breitling from Feldmar Watch Company in LA about 20 years ago. Back then they would discount from MSRP, I think it was at least 20% and maybe 30%. It might be worthwhile for you to give them a call. They are an AD for Breitling.

Nice. Thanks, I’ll reach out. I can’t stop thinking about that Breitling.

I didn’t want something that was an exact copy of what rolex already makes in terms of colors, but these caught my eye and he’s building them now. I may or may not have also gotten all the parts and tools to make a couple datejust inspired watches. Lolol.

Those are great.

Are any of you guys into micro brands? Brands that only produce a small amount and dont have big marketing budgets.

I bought a bronze case Lum-Tec several years ago, kinda got into micro brands because of them. Well, I was on Insta last night and went down a very deep rabbit hole. There are a lot of really cool micro brands. My "list" on Chrono 24 just grew by about 15 watches. I had to fuckin stop. lol.

What micro brands, if any, are you guys into?

I like the Henry Archer pieces I just got

But don’t hold out on us, share the micros you like!

I just recently got Chrono24, and I’m royally screwed. I didn’t know Breitling made the Superocean in green, and now I have to get that too 😂

You're really screwed when you save searches and it notifies you when a new watch is available or a price drop occurs meeting your search criteria. I have 20+ watches on my "search list."

I put an Oris on my list. Not a micro brand, I never cared for Oris until I came across the Big Crown Pointer Date.

Also the Omega Speedmaster. I like it best with a leather strap though.

I’m surprised at the number of sellers that sell new / unworn for 1.5k under MSRP with box and papers.

Sieko Mods are way cool !!!

Lot of builders out there making some nice watches.

My daily driver watch is an old Seiko turtle that my Dad gave me in 1987 for my 18th birthday. I also have a ( kermit knock off ) pagani design watch that is basically a seiko mod. It was $94 on a prime day deal a few years ago and runs like a champ and looks really nice.

I like it because if I ever lose it like I did my Tag Aquaracer a few years back I could care less. I am looking to pick up a G shock or an Apple watch so I can put my old turtle in the safe for sentimental reasons.

My Pegani looks really nice but my job is in home sales and don't want people thinking it is some pricey watch so I want something more modest.
