I maintain mid-500 levels with the gel...a bit less than ideal, but better than the 197 I started with...at 197 I had to get regular injections until my levels went up to the point that I could maintain it with gel.

Definitely have to be careful with the wife and kiddos but it's not a deal-breaker for me.

I injected roids way back in the day, I'm not really wanting to give myself anymore shots.

Sitting in the drs office. I had some blood drawn again on Monday. Was the earliest I could get in. Came back low again so we’ll see what the doc says. Also got some X-rays so hopefully those came in and we can start figuring that out as well.

I've been using glute as well but not with the harpoon they rx, instead using what i've used for peptides which are 1/2 inch 27g. They prescribed 1.5in 23g. I split my dose MWF and experimenting with dosage, haven't yet taken the full 200mg in a week though, working up to it.

Going with test cyp 200mg once a week. 22gx1” said to hit the gyatt
You will feel a 22g. If you can, request a 18g to evacuate and pierce the rubber septa. Then switch to a 26g for your injection site. Don’t use a thin needle to pierce the septa, it bends the tip and subsequently will hurt and bruise later. Also your butt is a bit of of a twist, you’re injecting oil so it doesn’t just shoot out like a vaccine (and it’s a small needle.) Takes pressure and a little time to evacuate once you’re buried in your muscle. Thigh is pretty easy site to access and manage. Gonna be weird the first few times. Breathe and take it slow.

you’ll feel better in VERY short time. And…

Get snipped if you haven’t already 😂

I think I’ll just order pins and have them delivered to the house. They aren’t expensive and then i can get what I want. It was kind of awkward in cvs when they told me the needles I ordered were out of stock and I needed to come back Monday, but maybe that’s just in my head and everyone wasn’t staring at me.

Also another tip. Fill the syringe with air before you piece the bottle, push out that air and the pressure will help fill the needle. Found that trick working in the lab extracting antibodies.

To clarify as that may sound weird… I was a chemist/immunologist. Ha ha

I got tested a couple months back but I think the test was skewed.

I tested 950 natural but I had my blood drawn right after going to the gym. Wonder if that’s what caused the numbers to be high.

I am 61 started the gel about a year ago about 200 on initial testing now hi 400 I never felt bad but I have more energy now i don’t feel like I did at 20 maybe just need more
I don’t see what all the drama is about transfer to other people
First you wash it off your hands when done rubbing in on your shoulders and then i put on a shirt after it dries that takes about a minute because it’s an alcohol based gel
I don’t have kids and the wife is not going to touch me until I shower when I get home from work or being out that gives us plenty of time to get busy between 7pm and 6am
Everyone acts like if somebody accidentally rubs against you they are going to be contaminated by cyanide how much could actually transfer considering i slather the stuff on both shoulders every day and only bring my level up 200
Please give examples of someone growing hair on their hands from touching you

Not sure what insurance you have but try to get it ordered as a clinically administered medicine CAM. There is no copay since it's a reoccurring prescription whereas if you get the shot you pay your copay every time you pick it up from the pharmacy. The clinically administered medicines are done by a treatment nurse. Not a bad thing to have a friendly young nurse administer the shot in your glutes. Trt has been a life changer for me nothing to be ashamed of we all get older and it affects a lot of us.

I’m going to look into the CAM deal that sounds way better. I ordered 100 18g 100 25g 1” and some prep wipes. Should be here before I get off work. I’m nervous but figure I might as well start today

Don't be nervous, it's so easy and the needles are short enough you can't do any harm. My wife take TRT as well but we ordered her 27g off Amazon. For all wondering, it's a very small dose. They keep women in the 70 range max. Help produce estrogen and other side affects worth while for me 😁

Let’s make a wager then. I know people running 200 and it’s gotten them from 200 to 600 and people who ran it at 500 and got to 1200. I know everybody is different but what he pictured is not getting him to 2000.

If he wants to disclose in three months where he’s at I’ll be happy to lay down $1,000 that says he’s not getting to 2,000.

I’ll double check but I thought he said once a week. He gave me 4 ml’s so a months worth?
Yeah, I'm not a doctor but that's a large dose for weekly injections. I'm sure you don't want to do injections every week that's a PITA.. 😆

I mention in another post more frequent injections are better in keeping your levels even, I believe bi-weekly has been adopted as a acceptable compromise.

I take 1 ml per week of 200mg per ml potency and it took my levels from about 200 up to around 650-850.
That’s what I’m hoping for. I’ll know in a couple weeks how we are looking.

You guys are throwing these needle sizes around like you know what you're talking about....... LOL

Does anybody here understand the difference between a glute muscle injection and a sub-cantaneous injection? I don't recall anybody mentioning it here but you guys that are changing needle length are definitely impacting this and that could be a big deal in how the body processes the injection.

But do you know the difference between a subcutaneous and a “sub-cantaneous”?

Hey Vic
Are you still eating poison in a bag for lunch every day?
All the stuff that you do to try to be healthy is pretty much negated when you fire that garbage into your body.

Honest question.

If you’re only come back is a grammar correction I think you might have bigger issues.

I’m just trying to throw out some caution that some of you might not be in the right place to give advice on needles and dosage. Provide your experience fine but advice is a little risky.

Regarding grammar, oh yeah, we all have those issues. Lol.

I take 150mg Cypionate once every 2 weeks. 1.5" needle is no fun, I use a 3/4" 25G and am able to inject it subcutaneously. A little hard to inject due to its viscosity but it goes in slowly. 225 to 650-700 now. Studies have shown subcutaneous vs intramuscular have very little difference.

Down 70lbs on Tirzepatide too.

Between the 2 over the last 6 months I feel like great at 47. More energy, better libido, better sleep, way less aches and pains.

Oh and started the gym last week too....................

I’ve heard of sub q injections but I think test would be a little think for that. Glute I’ve read 1”-1.5”. Shoulder and thigh maybe a little smaller but I’m scared.

To add in on the smaller side. I’m about 170lbs right now and my wife says I suffer from noassatall

Lunch is usually chicken and rice or ground turkey and rice but a lot of times I miss lunch and snack on beef jerky or nuts and fruits. To be perfectly honest though that’s more of a financial decision that health decision.

Come on needle babies. My son was diagnosed as Type 1 diabetic at 9 years old. He self administered multiple shots a day for years until he was able to get an insulin pump. If he can do it, you can do it! 💪

As far as the injection went the needle going in did not hurt. And I’m not sore the day after. What bothered me was I tried to reach around with my left to hold the syringe like a cigarette and push the plunger with my right thumb. It was awkward and in the process I was moving the damn needle all over. Then I didn’t really know how much was left. I didt want to pull it out and have to re pin if any was left so I gave it all I had and damn near broke the damn thing. So could have gone better could have gone worse. Going to try the left side next time but might just ask my wife to do it

It’s not a comeback because I didn’t think we were debating anything. Pretty sure you have agreed with everything I’ve said and I’ve agreed with everything you have said. It’s just a play off your words. I’m just here to have fun. ;)

Perfect.

It’s funny.
We’ve never met yet, but when people meet me they think “this fat little guy preaches healthy eating?” Lol
But the truth is that I’ll be 64 this year.
My cholesterol is at the bottom end of normal.
My blood pressure is NEVER more than 120/70 or so. I can tell you right now I’m at 118/68
I thought I had low T last year.
So I did the test and I was at like 400+
One round of the estrogen stuff or whatever it is that stimulates T production and I was 700+
At 63 years old.
My doctors call me “Shockingly normal”.
Last summer my primary ordered my blood work redone because she did not believe the results. She said that she has patients half my age on medication that will never reach my cholesterol or BP numbers.
Pre diabetes is not in my future. In fact diabetes never enters the discussion.
They scratch their heads when they look at me, because you’d think I’d be a case study in unhealthy levels.
I go to the gym sometimes, mostly to ride the stationary bike.
I drink Makers Mark nearly every single day.
But I generally do not drink beer.

What’s my secret? I don’t have one EXCEPT…I do not put junk food in my body.
I just don’t do it. I eat pizza…but I make it myself with fresh stuff.
I almost never eat rice anymore though I do like rice.

I typically never order a burger anywhere I go.
I’ll do club sandwiches and leave a lot of the bread on the plate.
I LOVE chicken wings! I Traeger them or I air fry them. Always cut my own from whole wing sections. Never ever frozen.
I used to love McDonald’s and Burger King etc. and I’m sure it contributed to my psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis over the years.

It blows me away when I see and hear the numbers that much younger people than me are posting.
I’m not a geneticist, but I can’t imagine what factors contribute to these deltas other than what we put in our bodies?
Is genetics really the big deciding factor?
Maybe it’s my attitude?
People think I’m high strung and argumentative and whatever, but the truth is I just don’t get that excited about stuff, stress is not in my vocabulary, though my job is one of the most stressful jobs there is.

Hell, my hair isn’t even grey and most of the younger guys I work with are already bald.
Maybe I’m just a freak.

I honestly honestly think stress is a major problem for me. I don’t know how to fix it. I know saying it’s just my personality is an excuse but things that don’t bother anybody else drive me absolutely crazy. My wife constantly asks why things bother me and I have no answer other than fuck that guy I get mad looking at him 😂

Stress is a killer for sure.
And it’s impossible to just “not stress” if you’re prone to stress.
I can’t say why, but I just don’t stress about anything really.
Maybe after all I’ve been through it’s just a natural thing to not worry anymore?
Simplifying one’s life is the key I think.
I remember reading your RV thread and honestly, I was exhausted just reading all the shit you were doing! Lol
Didn’t sound like a lot of relaxing going on! Lol
I know the boys love that stuff and there’s no questioning your dedication of being a dad.
But man, the amount of stuff you pack into your life is extraordinary!
😱😱👌👌
Coaching, boating, rv’ing, church activities, shooting, farming, all AFTER and between your high involvement job!
I’d of had a stroke already!
😂😂

All that healthy eating and you’re still a little fat guy. Hasn’t anybody ever told you it’s what’s on the outside that counts? 🤣🤣🤣
