Boats - with the cost of comparable new boats DOUBLE what it was before 2008, plus the sheer lack of production during the big recession - I think used boat values will stay quite a bit higher for a long time.

Fox body mustangs - That's a 30+ year old classic car now days, they already bottomed out and are now harder to find Same for all the less-desirable square bodies from 76-89, etc.

Combine the above with the fact that the dollars purchasing power is in the toilet with inflation, and you get the current state of sticker shock

Dirt bikes are way down same with enclosed trailers.

Been shopping both for a while. Just trying to meet up with sellers is the hard part. Crf110 I want he listed at 5k down to 3k but he is a flake now. Quite a few asking 3k or less. Some have been reduced numerous times and listed for months.

Seadoos and waverunners waydown.

Work trucks way down.

Everything is starting to drop pricewise. Lots of stuff sitting on the market, things that are priced right are selling but they are on the market longer than the last few years.

I think the toy market is dead. All the cool stuff I've been eye-balling seems to have been for sale now for 3-5 months.

Prices on used SxS's, used quads and dirt bikes seem to be coming down quickly

C10's and 1965 Lincoln continentals unfortunately just keep getting higher

My son has been looking at all kinds of nice boats, and yes they are still priced a bit on the high side.
I told him he just need to find a few that will work, then make an offer on what you are comfortable with and hopefully you are dealing w the 3 D's, death, divorce, or dispair!!!
I have been texting w a guy w a clean early 2000's boat that is priced in the right neighborhood and doesnt seem to care if it sells or not?
This weekend should be a good gauge at the sand show and what stuff sells for.
Strange times indeed

Some paid top dollar and will hold out for top dollar whether it’s worth it or not. Gets listed for high but also maybe something they don’t need to sell. It’s a great if it does no big deal if it don’t.

IMO when things get bad and it turns to a must sell then there will be price drops. Then again on financed stuff they maybe upside down then too

Im a toy shopper late at night when i cant sleep. Id say prices are already falling. They will continue.

There a guy on FB selling a VW bus, very nice piece, i think it said it hammered at 60 or 70K at BJ auction. Now for sale for 25 with no one i can see interested in the comments.

My local KTM dealer has sixty 2024 bikes still in crates, and the 25s are already being delivered. 24's are now discounted like 25%?

I think the Toy Trader pages will start to show some stressed sellers soon. Esp toys that still have monthly payments.

2025 toyhauler was about 30% off sticker OTD.

All the used comparable models across manufacturers were only about 10k less and not budging on prices. Plus they were all covid builds.

Made sense to buy new instead. So far only a couple warranty items.

We paid $27.500 OTD for our 2020 X3 Max RR RS in 2020.
Saw the prices then rise near $40K for the next 3 years, and they were getting it.

Then easing, seen it around low $30's, Mid $30's at Berts of course. One place in AZ even had a couple at $27.500 in their ads.

That was all at the end of last season so no telling where they are now, but they have gone back up somewhat with the approaching season..

Wife checking out the 21' Sea Doo Switch.
It's caught her eye.
MSRP $50K but shes seen them for $39K and willing to deal.

So far owners like them. No one wants to pay too much so shes still shopping.
Maybe one day she'll tell me to go buy it. This on her.
A lot about it she really likes.

Not a good towing long distance traveling boat, best to store and launch it close-by so we're figuring that in the equation too.

Brother in law just picked up a SeaDoo switch at the dealer for around $37 with a warranty. That thing is actually pretty cool! Been to lake perris twice with it and had a really good time it takes the weekend chop really well.
Dealers are definitely discounting them now!

I see it has trim and a lot of nice features. Never considered it, being stuck in my ways is probably why the wife is pushing for it.

I think so many people are sitting on the fence with just about everything right now due to it being an election year. You have the “we’re all gonna die” if my candidate doesn’t win crowd on both sides of the isle, not spending a fucking dime right now.

100% accurate.
I have some large sales pending election results. If candidate x wins, we will not be moving forward. We have asked, what could we do to change that, and everyone has stated nothing. Uncertainty in who wins causes corporations to pause actions. Occurs every 4 years.

Yes sir, my son just outgrew super mini's and I'm shopping for Factory or Rockstar 250's....all the dealerships will let them go for cost. They are all saying they have to move the bikes right now. They have more coming in and they 24's aren't selling.

I'm trying to wait until next month to see if they offer a rebate on top of that.

I want a new KTM 6 days exc or the Beta rr and have no problem waiting. Will happily enjoy my 2013 WR450 until it sells or doesn’t. But really happy prices are returning to normal on 110 quads and 125/140 motorcycles. Youngest needs a bigger quad. I’d like to pick up the 124/140 before the end of the season so my oldest can start learning how to use the clutch.

I too like the Switch!

However, I joined a Switch Facebook owners page, when they 1st came out. I am still a member. It has been one complaint after another. Lots of complaints!!! Lots of recurring problems.

I think that the company will work out the problems, but my advice would be to wait. Do not buy a used one. Especially one of the first ones. I believe this will be a great boat once the bugs are fully worked out.

If you are intent on buying one……… Join the Facebook owners page so you can learn both the good and the bad.

Good Luck to you. Hopefully Sea-Doo will ad a steering wheel in future models. The handlebar steering sucks.

lol your probably aren’t far off of what it would realistically sell for
Well that sucks! I figured I bought mine end of covid for 30k, guessing its worth 20k now, not selling it so i can wait until the next big end of the world scenario. I'm not much of a doom and gloom guy but my GF tells me the other day her sister a (major prepper) that we better get ready for end of the world stuff after election, like getting food, water, a generator, blankets etc etc, i said we have all that sitting in driveway, it's called a motorhome lol

The older I get, the more conservative I get. I don’t like payments, I like paying cash and I’m willing to wait because if I die with it or without it, it won’t matter anyway, but I want to be comfortable while I’m here and not stressing about finances.

The title of this thread specified toys and that means you can live without it so why worry about it?

I'm right there with you, I don't have the lasted and greatest toys but it's all paid for.

My boys have just as much fun in my 40k boat as they would with a 400k boat.

Simple is better for me

Just came across this prime example. Yes, it’s probably the most desirable hallett/power package in existence. But 75k?? Holy shit. Guess you can ask what you want if you don’t want to sell it.

Tell ole Andrew I sold a clean straight bought 270T for like 55-60k not that long ago.. sold a 340t for I think 65 two years ago that was museum quality.. another 270t for 50.. there was a few of them now..

I just got a 335 with twin 710 Ilmors that is clean AF that at some point I’ll get rid of for something else.. probably another Hallett. Lol

75 for a 240 is insane unless it’s a Brummett build or the like.

I bought mine for a little over a 100. When Covid was going on I had guys offering me 160-170..

Looking around if I got 85-90 think that would be all the money with 58-60 being the fire sale.. wholesale sell it today price.

Can’t give a motorhome away right now.. well of course except the ones I want they still seem to be 200k lol
The ones you want are most likely limited production. Those are not dropping in price. High volume new trailers and RV’s are dropping in price (old school discounts are back, IMO), which is impacting used prices.

When I was shopping, folks wanted new money for used coaches. Only ten 24’s were located in a national search (only 2 in AZ, CA, NV, UT) and almost all the 25’s I found were purchased and dealers were waiting for floor stock which was due to February.

I am just glad I got into the 6 figures on my trades now. I don’t think I would have gotten 75 today.

I have been shopping for an RV or a toy hauler since spring time, either the seller wants to entertain offers to see what they have or know what there stuff is worth. Or other sellers want pay off and won't budge. One guy was 35k upside down on a toy hauler and wanted to have someone take over payments or buy him out in full. I told him when the bank and others say your stuff is worth X value and you are asking Y, either come up with the cash difference or let the facker get repo'ed.

I just clicked on a Facebook pop up ad for a well-known South Bay Motorsports dealer.

WaveRunners are on sale for $100 off MSRP.

Oh yeah $3,500 ADM.

We have a fully loaded 2021 3717 Vortex that will be listing... Not sure if it fits your needs as it has a slide and residential fridge.
