Lauderdale show.
59’ cigarette Tirana down.
59’ cigarette Tirana down.
No fuckin way. I’d cry
That guy has more money that common sense or else that likely wouldn't have happened on its own. I would want to shoot someone.
What do you do in a case like this....looks like there's at least 1000 dry horsepower there... Fire those 2 up, pull the plugs and hammer down till all the water is out?
Between this and that one coming into Haulover with half of the side coming off I'm not sure I'd be too serious about buying a new Cig.
I read that it was supposedly a submerged item, but TBH seeing this makes me question that. The one that delamed hit a submerged item while running offshore.
But yeah, Ruiz isn’t exactly running cigarette well. Sad. Skip had that place at next level shit.
Ruiz seems to be using it as a toy box and status symbol.
If that's truly the case, then that's just a shame. But yeah, Ruiz isn’t exactly running cigarette well. Sad. Skip had that place at next level shit.

Nope . . . when you've got that kind of money, you tell your guy to yank them all off and hang 6 new ones. What do you do in a case like this....looks like there's at least 1000 dry horsepower there... Fire those 2 up, pull the plugs and hammer down till all the water is out?

Yes, it is. It would seem it is that way at least. Things seem to be chaotic over there. lack of vision and direction mixed with unrealistic expectations mixed with seemingly poor management. Not a great combination. If that's truly the case, then that's just a shame.

The boat will soon be available on this website.
Last month, Coopers had a 56’ Palm Beach for minimum bid 250k. Water damage. It was super nice. What a shame, it sunk at dock also.
I am guessing the ad for the Cig will say……. 2024 50’ Cigarette. Water Damage. Minimum bid $250,000
The boat is totaled, as far as insurance is concerned. I know I wouldn’t want it. Unless it gets stripped, it will have a lifetime of electrical problems.
Like an NBA playerSunk by missing $1.00 worth of rubber.
Like an NBA player
That’s funny. DamnLike an NBA player
Here's phootos of when they raised the 51 OL that sank a few years back at the Lauderdale show. Bag it, pump out water, get it on trailer, back to the factory, pickle motors, clean, re-wire, back on water! What do you do in a case like this....looks like there's at least 1000 dry horsepower there... how do these happen sitting on a dock...Here's phootos of when they raised the 51 OL that sank a few years back at the Lauderdale show. Bag it, pump out water, get it on trailer, back to the factory, pickle motors, clean, re-wire, back on water!

Holes in hull below water line. My guess is a clamp or hose failure.how do these happen sitting on a dock...
What do those run? $4M?
Starts by making sure they have it properly insured...how do these happen sitting on a dock...
Not to mention double clamping everything. On an ocean boat, wouldn't every single through hull fitting have a ball valve immediately at the hull, and then the hose?
That’s wild a simple cheap part can create that much carnage.Holes in hull below water line. My guess is a clamp or hose failure.
The rumor on the OL was sabotage. Ture? Who knows. The guesses on the Cig were no plugs. How you get from the ramp to the dock, hang out and then leave it for the night without noticing its dumping water out the bildge is beyond me. We'll probably never know. It's probably like stated above, loose hose clamp or fitting fell off or something? Although on an OB boat you'd think there would be even LESS chance of that happening.how do these happen sitting on a dock...

Who the fuck is sabotaging boats at a boat show?!The rumor on the OL was sabotage. Ture? Who knows. The guesses on the Cig were no plugs. ThisThere is a lot of speculation on my private boat forums. The general consensus is insurance fraud. Don’t blast me…… I am just passing it on.
They are also beating up on the boat shows’ night security. This should have been reported to somebody? It certainly draws into question what exactly they do on their rounds.
A boat like this should have apps set up that let the owner know that it is taking on water. High water alarms should have gone off.
In today’s environment, many yacht owners are able to monitor multiple functions on their boats, while they are away. Again, this does not ad up.
Whoever refloated the boat, should be able to determine how the water was coming in. The boat will be thoroughly inspected, so I am sure they will be able to determine what exactly happened. If I were guessing,………. if the boat ended up with no power, such as dead batteries, that would explain a lot of why nobody saw a running bilge pump or no notifications were made. I’d hate to think that the bilge pumps were not automatic or were off, when batteries were off.
just for reference, even when my batteries are off in my boat, the auto bilge pumps still activate. This is because they are direct wired to batteries, circumventing the Perko switch.
Yeah, I don't understand how this happens in this day and age either, unless like you said, there was a complete drain of power somehow. You got handlers moving and placing these boats into position and possibly low level handlers that don't know all the ins and outs of a particular boat. There is a lot of speculation on my private boat forums.
