What do you do in a case like this....looks like there's at least 1000 dry horsepower there... Fire those 2 up, pull the plugs and hammer down till all the water is out?
Sure, that’s what you tell the insurance company. You were trying to save the last two 500’s. 😁😂

Crazy stuff. You'd think these modern outboards have a bunch of electronics but I guess if it doesn't sit in salt water too long and they're powered off, everything that's not sealed can be cleaned off with some sort of solution, and the engine internals are normal engine stuff you can pickle. Time is of the essence, but it's not impossible. The rest of the boat is made to see water I guess, so worst case some cockpit displays and electronics etc are scrapped and replaced. Insurance should cover it, maybe a quarter mill in repairs and it's back ready to rock?

I'm thinking Johnny Sack had something to do with it.

Post tries to explain what happened. Also she mentions the red boat that delaminated. She works for a cig dealership.

Sounds like dock sank pulling boat down enough to take on water. Bildge pumps ran until no more power then down she went.

Although I don’t really understand how a FLOATING dock can bring a 59’ boat down enough to take on water. 🤔 unless the tide came up and the dock guy stuck or something thusnrestricting the boat from
Floating up with the tied? The tied goes way up and down out there.

They brought it up and are still using it at the show, notice the oil boom coming out of the gas tank.

That’s not the same boat that’s Marlboro man. Booby trap is the one that went down. Looks like it’s actually sitting in the background but that’s probably one of his other cc’s, he’s said to have 2 59’s, 2 52’s and a 42 CC all painted the same.

Holes in hull below water line. My guess is a clamp or hose failure.
I bought a new little CC fishing boat back in the early 90's. First day out we are offshore with lines in the water. Before we know it there is water slapping at our ankles. I opened the hatch to the bilge and it's full of water. We put out a mayday call on the radio and a harbor patrol boat showed up and pumped us out and we hauled ass back to the harbor. We later found that one of hoses on the through hulls rigged to the bait tank had come off and was filling the boat with water. Simple mistake almost had us swimming in the water in the ocean.

I stand corrected.

Reguardless of what happens I have a feeling booby trap will show back up as a functioning boat. I would think a complete gut and rerig would be worth it on a hull that size.

It appeared in some video I saw yesterday Booby Trap is back at the cig dock floating? Unless there are 3 of the blue and orange CC's.

I was there on Sunday. Booby Trap was floated. There were three cigs all the same blue. The third was a 41 Nighthawk with 1100's. They were all over the top beautiful.
