@lake p.a.l. called me a few weeks ago and asked if we could take the StressEliminator out SuperBowl weekend.
He knows the lakes around my new home and I do not, so we went out last Saturday to Canyon Lake, AZ.
The scenery is superb. We didn’t set any speed records but I had a blast.
Looking forward to running in the other nearby lakes this year.
Todd @ Wicked Powerboats is making a BADASS 24' that can be setup with any power you want, including twins. I'd never want twins on a boat that size.Other comparison notes in the Argo vs Trick….
Argo is a true tunnel …Trick has a center pod. Never owned a true tunnel, only center pod boats. Assuming center pod boat would handle better at lower speeds? Less porpoise?
Seems like the Argo is going to be quite a bit faster with the full tunnel and big weight savings.
Trick may be better ride due to heavier hull?
Argo can be ordered in Carbon fiber …650 pounds unrigged. $9k add on for the lighter hull.
Trick will be finished first. Argo molds are hopefully producing boats by September.
22’ Liberator from Randy is a play as well. It will need the 450R to compete with the Argo. I could call Randy tomorrow….Bully just ordered his 22’ Liberator with a 300R …also a nice set up around 90k price. So many decisions!!!

Shhh we're not supposed to talk about that. Those propshafts on bottom of river tho...
pretty stout for shakedown!any specs on motor/prop or did i miss that?similiar bottom to allison?
Full true tunnel with suspect propshafts on the V8s....J/SArgo is a true tunnel …Trick has a center pod. Never owned a true tunnel, only center pod boats. Assuming center pod boat would handle better at lower speeds? Less porpoise?

Quite a few peeps WAY smarter than me say to run a jack plate, bury everything for launch, then work it up slowly. The big heavy motors & lowers live better that way supposedlyFull true tunnel with suspect propshafts on the V8s....J/S

I know you Love the 4strokes and i get why..SO, you are thinking twin 300Rs on the Trick isnt a CG mistake with wieght? We do appreciate your Expertise JoeThat Trick is flat ass sexy. The Argo will run circles around a 22' Liberator in real world water conditions. We have both in our Florida group that run together consistently. The Argo with a 300R works VERY well. I say wait and see the Tricks performance results (the true tunnel version with a pair of 300Rs would have to be a river weapon).

Night and day I'm sure lolWhat a pair!
How do they compare?
Observers are typically in high demand at the ski races. If you have a current CPR/First Aid certification and show up you might get in a boat.Need an observer or driver? haha
Good to know. It sounds like a great time, thank you!Observers are typically in high demand at the ski races. If you have a current CPR/First Aid certification and show up you might get in a boat.
Photo??Original Argo inline seating…. All business. This is more my style. Just needs to be a wide body!
Photo compliments of Joe.
Thanks yes completely different to Drive pad bottom verse True cat. I feel they are both best in Class and with seat time do everything well!!What a pair!

I'm not sure what the rigged weight will be with a complete interior set up for 4 or 5 people, nice stereo etc. It usually takes something fairly light to run well with a single-Argos are light and no frills for sure. If you are running rivers, the C.G. can be easily manipulated to work and a boat of that size should have some really hard acceleration with twins. 22' Talons, DCBs, Eliminators and 24 Skaters with twins are often a good example of what I am referring to. The trick has a wide enough tunnel that it should offer good stability Vs some of the aforementioned hulls.I know you Love the 4strokes and i get why..SO, you are thinking twin 300Rs on the Trick isnt a CG mistake with wieght? We do appreciate your Expertise Joe
