Turned out great!
I might come down and get a few measurements.
I did some machining on the transom bar and a few other parts for Mike when he switched to the center plate.
Didn’t keep any of the numbers though.
Also, need to call your Dad and find out where he got the Injector Ram Tubes done on the Litchfield, been a few years now since it was built…I know he told me.
Always liked them and would like to do the same on a project I have going.

LongDeck update…
Hopefully next weekend I can start final assembly.
Boat is out getting final polish and trailer fitting.
Most all the parts are back and I’ve assembled as much as I can at this point.
It’s always the most fun to put the rigging in for good!

For a 50 plus year old tank, she came out pretty cool.
Was able to rebuild the original filler cap.
It’s an Aston from England.
Same cap used on the original AC Cobras.
A repop of it is 425.00!
Guys at Moon were more than happy to make me an original style sticker for it.
Before and After..,

Got a Private Message asking how I cut the tubing for the mounts straight.
Since we can’t post pictures in there…
I made this fixture probably 30 years or so ago.
It ain’t pretty but it does the job.
I have ones made for two other sizes as well.
Since most all tubing has white lettering on it, I line it up and pull the hose through keeping the lettering in the same place.
Comes out dead straight!

First time I’ve ever done this…
The standard Vdrive placement is right at 96” from the transom on a Biesemeyer.
Due to the longer deck there is very little space ahead of the of the gearbox and it ends up just about even with the dash making the pedal assembly very awkward.
On this boat, the Vdrive has been moved back to 92 1/2 inches by making the coupler and seal package much tighter.
The gearbox sits almost on the floor so we had to counter sink the fin plate into the floor. Also by moving it, it lowered the engine to where the pan is just off the floor.👍
