Cool ride. Is that an eliminator?
Just get in and run it! You’ll figure it out.

Yes, its an eliminator... or it was built from that mold. My understanding is that in the 70s that mold whored around alot and different people layed boats up in it. Not nessesarily at eliminator. Legend has it this was the case with this unit and it has no HIN numbers. Its been documented as a homemade boat?

A lot of boats got “home made”. Easy way for dmv to get it done. Had it out yet? Should be fun.

I have not had it out yet... Its a quasi family heirloom. There were a couple of guys back in the early 80s who ran around in the boat show circuit in So Cal. They were from the El Monte Fire Dept. Billy B was in the shows at the same time and I think I spoke with him about it years and years ago. But my father in law was one of them. Names like "York", "Pruitt", "Kindaid" etc... This boat was one other Fire Captain who is in his 80s with the types of issues that come along with that. The family was ready to let it go, so my wife and I stepped in and saved it from ending up in someone's garage who we don't know!

I really do miss these shows. The February deal at Jack Smith Park and the 'in water' show at Pirates in September. Really bummed we don't do it anymore. Me and the boys always looked forward to them.

For sure! Those events were really cool! When Billy can get the permits (eventually) the Horsepower Beach Party will return. 👍

Back in the 70's there was an old retired guy that had a wooden Chris Craft boat that ran Bass Lake all summer long. For a small fee he'd take you for a ski ride or even teach you if you were a first timer. He'd always invite me to go with him to help out and show off for the girls, those were the best of times...
