Does Robby want to hire me as a proofreader? I'm seeing so many errors in those posts, it's not even funny.

"When you register you can let us know if someone in your group the birthday in March."

They having their posts manufactured in Vietnam too?

Yeah, yeah, grammar nazi and all that. I just happen to think a business that is posting stuff should be as correct and as professional as possible.
Itā€™s a clear representation of their whole garage shop business..

So we didnā€™t Speed owners run this weekend and had an absolute blast!!

82 cars showed up and we ran from their facility to the dollar cabin, second stop was a slot canyon (I didnā€™t even know we had one out here?).

Then other desert bar..

I didnā€™t get a ton of pics but thereā€™s a shitload in a WhatsApp thread that had all the owners in it, so Iā€™ll download some and post em up.

So apparently when I had the repairs made out in Glamis we somehow stripped the threads on the axle. That finally showed up in real time coming off the ridge on the way back from the desert bar near the entrance to cinega springs rd..

Itā€™s interesting to say the least when I hit the road I went left doing about 50 and the wheel went right.. lol

Speed crew went to work on it immediately..

Pics from this morning.. I went about 15 miles and was experiencing some additional issues.. instead of having their guys try to fix it out on shea rd I just opted to tow it back to havasu. So they sent a truck and loaded it up and I went with Stacy.

I canā€™t say enough about the customer service from these guys.

Looked pretty cool, Robby went live a few times on FB. Looked like a great weekend! And a very strong showing of customers having a super rad day. @RiverDave Bummer you ran into a few hicups, but pretty nice to have the speed team there with you for support.

We fixed the one side on Saturday night, but something "weird" for lack of a better term was happening the next morning? Car ran smooth for like 5 miles, then the back left wheel had like a "shake" to it and it was vibrating the car. They were going to fix it kinda towards the end of shea rd at the aqueduct, and I just said I'd rather have it towed back to havasu.. Because we weren't really sure what was happening at that point, and I didn't want to hold the guys up, or worse end up breaking something worse out in the middle of nowhere. I'm not sure what could cause that because everything was tight? Bare in mind by the time I got the car stopped that entire left swing arm, brake caliper, bearings, etc.. all got drug through the dirt 50-75'.. We were moving pretty good when it let go.

So they called the truck he came and picked me up and I met Stacy at the beginning of shea rd, and just drove home. The car was already at speed by the time we got to Havasu.

I wonder if the wheel bearing is bad or something bent. Lucky it didnā€™t flip over!!!

Was it a dusty mess like desert bash?

Those are the best days!!!

I was shocked at the pace the group ran with 82 cars in it. They were at the dollar cabin by 11:00 and they left speed at like 10? I figured there would still be people trickling in at 1-2 pm..

We were at the desert bar by like 2ā€™ish?

Usually you get more than 20-30 cars and there is all kinds of problems and the herd slows to a crawl.. for the most part it was pretty drama free and we ran about 100 miles as a group.

81 cars not including the cars driven by speed employees, and cars that had issues that wernt somewhat self inflicted were like 3.
And all got repaired

Dave did you find out what the vibration was yet? I wonder if rotor is bent? It did not sound like there were to many broke cars. Heard one trans broke, a driveshaft, several belts and several flat tires. Out of 80 cars they seems pretty good. But I assume the overall speed was more a cruise with 80 cars on the trail.

I helped the guy with the broken trans. Speed had it back in parker by 10pm that night with a new one ready for the next ride the following day.
the pace was actually pretty quick. I pulled up the rear because I hate eating dust but we had an awesome time. We ripped pretty good.
