OK, so there were 4000 pre-orders, I thought i read it was more like 20,000. Does anyone know what the total amount of outstanding orders are as of today? How long have most of those pre-order people been waiting, on average, since they placed their deposit? How much longer will they be waiting?
The reason I ask is, they make all these little videos about oil changes and doing this and doing that, how they placed in some race no one is going to race in themselves, but none of it matters if you placed an order four years ago, and you’re gonna be waiting another three years to get your car.
If they’d like to inspire potential new buyers like myself, they need to ramp up their production and deliveries. Is that in the cards? With tariffs, might they move their production from Asia back to the homeland?
I'm an independent shop, time and materials will be billed, but getting a better product upon delivery.Do you work on them time and material and/or factory warranty?
sean@ritchieperformancegroup.comWhere are you located? I need to do RZR trans bearings soon
I set inventoried all of the SKF bearings and seals at Weddle a few years back, all of those parts are readily available.Sean can you get parts to service or rebuild the Speed trans or front differential? Also you have mentioned on RDC that you don’t think the bearings originally spec’ed are being used. If someone wanted to bring you a trans to get the “Ritchie prep” to it. Can you get the good bearings and do all the things you did at Weddle?
Recently it’s been said that Speed is not even opening up the broken transmissions and are just doing full replacements, and that the broken Transmissions are being sent back to Asia. (Assume for some sort of credit?) This has some wondering if Speed will even offer internal parts to rebuild or service the trans & difs?

Last communication I had with Karla in Jan was master #857 for El Jefe's, I'm master #1022. Like you, I'm in no rush as I'm asshole deep in baseball with my boys... I'm fine not being the first round of cars too, they've been correcting a lot of issues so by the time I take delivery the big headaches should be sorted.I put my deposit down on Nov 14th 2020, I'm #2153. I'd be surprised if it's ready by this Nov. Not really stressed about it, I don't have so much free time to use my toys now. Hopefully most of the issues are worked out and or aftermarket support to improve the car.
My thoughts are ….
The longer you wait to get your car the better !
They keep updating problem areas & the more time goes by the better the car is.
I have a few friends that have orders in the 1800 & 1900’s and while they want the car they are in no hurry to receive it…
The car keeps getting better & better
Note -
If you want your car earlier, They can probably make arrangements to bump you up in the line. You would need to reach out to Speed.
A few people have backed out ( things change in 4 years ) and they have a few select spots they can fill
That is actually surprisingly more difficult than you would think. Some of the earlier cars were sold for less money.. if someone backs out and speed has the car they can sell it for todays prices.
That said it is navigable but it’s not as simple as getting moved to the front of the line.

HOLY SHIT ! I wouldn’t wait that long for the best piece of ass on the planet ! Some of you guys got an “A” in patience. A toy is something you want the minute you decide your in. Now waiting a few years for a toy that is some handbuilt custom with all the bells and whistles is one thing but this is supposed to be a production vehicle. Where is the production ? I have always enjoyed Robbies racing career but DUDE GET THESE CARS TO THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORTED YOU !!I put my deposit down on Nov 14th 2020, I'm #2153. I'd be surprised if it's ready by this Nov. My buddy walked in and wanted his money back, spoke to Robby personally and walked out with someone else's RG El Jefe they forfeited. He basically jumped the line, they added all the accessories from his original order, just had to deal with the wrap being a little different color. Right place, right time...That is actually surprisingly more difficult than you would think. I would guess cars delivered and in customers hands is still under 1000.About 1500-2000 delivered do you think?
I would guess cars delivered and in customers hands is still under 1000.
So if under 1000 it’s now been 2 years since first cars were delivered. No legitimate excuse for that at this point.
I wonder how many races the Gordon's have been involved in, while doing gawd knows what with the deposit money?

Under a 1000 on the El Jefe's, I believe the El Diablos are in the 1300s? Karla mentioned they were on Master #1320 for those back in Jan.So if under 1000 it’s now been 2 years since first cars were delivered.
They can’t sell any of the stock they have too it just sits there

There were 3 in the beginning, but I've heard they're not making the Bandit (72"), all cars will be 77"So...
How many different models are there?
Just two?

No, around a 1,000.Copy that.
So in reality, roughly 2k Total cars have been delivered?
Schiada = piece of art IMO. You wait because you know you know what you are getting
Speed = not the same. Falls into the bucket of Overpromised and Underdelivered on any timeline communicated
The scandemic is long gone a few years ago so let's quit using that as an excuse for him not delivering cars !At the time it was more of a concept than an actual car. It was "I'm going to build these". He didn't think it was going to take as long as it did.. But the concept was nothing compared to what was delivered.. and there was a scandemic for 2 years of that etc.. Not making excuses, but it wasn't like you could go buy a car 5 years ago.

Oh trust me I get it having been around manufacturing most of my life . What I fail to understand is the buisness approach to the company. In a time when everything we do is dictated by “ lawsuit ability” I fail to understand not having the wherewithal to understand the actual timeline of new product development to retail sales ready. I would be very surprised if he is currently not paying lawyer fees against some of these customers that said “Times up “ . Dave do not get me wrong I am a huge supporter of his and the car but it needs to get real and soon. If you were 2000 miles away and went through the stuff you went through you would be pulling your hair out without any of the dealer networks all set up and ready. At the time it was more of a concept than an actual car. I’m curious, do you think if speed energy drink folded that the race team would fold? Or if the race team folded that the side-by-side company would fold? Do you think it’s all the same money?
Yeah 90k is a steal for a 6.0 excursionPretty good deal on a car out of Colorado.
Comments are even on. Lots of stuff in that feed lately with it off.

Thought for sure it was going to at least be the 7.3.Yeah 90k is a steal for a 6.0 excursion![]()
It appears Robby runs his racing with zero sponsorship.1. I didn't even know they had an energy drink? I suppose that if any race team lost any sponsor, that could definitely be devastating?
2. I would imagine the SxS company (Speed), would be a sponsor of the race team? Not the other way around?
(One brings in money and one spends money. Expense vs. income. Yano?)
3. So speaking of income...
Since Speed has zero income at this point, and definitely hemorrhaging huge dollars, where are those dollars coming from?
And who at this point IS sponsoring the race team? Anyone that has been part of any race team, knows it costs cubic dollars to race. So where is that coming from?
It's hard to imagine any legit business running this way.
Only the board of directors knows the answers to all of these questions.
Which brings up another question...
I wonder who sits on that board?![]()
If your buddy ordered a El Jefe he will get it this year and probably in time for riding season. If he really wants a car now, tell him to go pitch a fit at Speed and ask to transfer into a car someone passed on.My buddy is like 1800 something and 20K down on accessories. He is loosing patience and may go a different direction. He has moved from Parker to Havasu and really does not want to be without a car another season. The Speed cars are cool @RiverDave has given me a ride in his car. If you are in Havasu they make a lot more sense than a state or more away. Honestly I told him what does this all look like in 5 years? Will Robby still be making cars? Will they be updated? Maybe he gets bored and bails on the project after finishing the initial run? Who will service them or produce parts? Just honest questions. He shoot his head and said maybe I just go out and get a pro R.
