Pretty impressive if you think about it. Yes they have allot of financial backing and had the built in infrastructure. But they officially started the Segway Powersports division in 2019, and released the first model in 2020. They currently have 6 models of ATVā€™s. 3 models of Utility SXS, and now have 3 models of Sport SXS.

Segway Powersports offers a full 12 months warranty, which is more than most other brands offer. But now Segway is giving the original owner a limited lifetime warranty on the complete powertrain system. Iā€™m told wearables like clutch belts & a cv boots are not included.

That was a quiet 100,000 units built. Impressive and a good example of what a well run company can do.

I never even saw their ā€œdepositā€ and live social media updates.

If they have stop rides someone would of piped in by now about it.

Still impressive they have built 100,000 units across the multiple models since 2019. They only have a tiny part of the market share.

Speed only has a tiny part of market shareā€¦..

Could be a bigger partā€¦.. if they got cars released ā€¦

You know you can go back 18 months or more and conversation is basically the same.
I was a buyer 4 years ago
Then a buyer 18 months back IF things got better.
Based on the internet today I'm not a buyer ever

For that reason I'm out.

Just like everyone, platform looks good. Cage and handling.
The rest still comes up short

The older I get the more I want nothing to do with a niche market for toys.

I do watch a lot of shark tank. So my opinion means very little. šŸ˜

Whatā€™s the difference? One sits in the garage and the sits at the dealer.

I can see you guys donā€™t remember a few years ago the nightmare Polaris was lol
1. I can take the risk and still drive which 90% of people did during these stop rides
2. I can sit in it making vroom vroom noises and have someone jump up and down in it to simulate driving it.

If itā€™s not in the garage you canā€™t do either

Soo true.

Same for me. I was very interested when released but I watched how they structured the company and I said nope.

Fair enough but mine sat because of the stop ride. I didnā€™t want to risk it. I was lucky as I didnā€™t need it. I was just using it as one of the prerunners but a bunch of people who missed holidays because of stop rides that they didnā€™t want to risk.

If you lived in CA you could of threatened polaris with a lemon law case. They paid out $800 on the rzr 200 and $250 for taking it in for the recall. It was a pain in the ass chasing them for the money. They forgot to send the check like 3 times. But months later it finally showed. I heard they paid out over 4k to some with the more expensive units that had stop rides. Other states got nothing.

Where are they all? Ive never seen one....

I was just thinking the same thing? I saw one at a dealer when we were on our Rv trip.. then I saw four at Morgan motorsports because he is a dealer now.. I have never seen one in the dirt?

100,000 of them in the wild? wtf?

Interesting as I did not notice them. Waitā€¦..you talking about at the end or on the ride?
They were in the Morgan Motorsports tents. (Or at least near them). The Can Am with the big ass tires distracted most of us.

I used the hell outta my Turbo R during the ā€œstop ride,ā€ there arenā€™t any ramifications for using the car during a stop ride. If the issue is severe enough to warrant immediate repairs a recall needs to be done by the manufacturer.

My dealer was aware, and so was Polaris corporate. My warranty was still honored, including the extension they granted, and it was never questioned when my car rolled in for the stop ride repair with 1000 miles on it.

I read about others getting an extra payment or other small things from Polaris, but lemon law doesnā€™t apply to primarily off-road vehicles in AZ or CA. Other states may vary.

So whatā€™s the point of issuing a stop ride if it means nothing?

A bunch of those people got compensated for the time they did not get to use it.

Itā€™s Polarisā€™ way of acknowledging a problem without going through the cost of an official recall. Basically a fear tactic to buy them time to figure out a fix and save them money. Iā€™ve never had a ā€œstop rideā€ on an automobile. I read people on forums stating that insurance doesnā€™t cover a vehicle being used during a stop ride, etc. Itā€™s BS.

Now, there are some issues, like new cars not being delivered, or some dealers not releasing cars affected by a stop ride if they are brought in for service at the dealer, but I spoke to my service department during my stop ride and they said as long as I didnā€™t take my RZR in for service before a fix was implemented, I would be fine. I waited until the last week that I could take my car in for the stop ride repair (and subsequent warranty extension) and effectively doubled my warranty coverage.

In my case, my car was part of the fuel pump mount ā€œleakā€ stop ride. From what I could find online at the time (going from memory, numbers could be off) there were 25k cars that fell under the stop ride- of those there were a dozen or so documented leaks at the fuel pump mounting ring, and 2 supposed fires as a result. I kept an eye on my fuel tank and pump mount under the seat and never noticed any signs of leakage or fuel smell so I kept using the car.

I ended up having to open an Ask Polaris Case to escalate some electrical issues unrelated to the stop ride that went past the warranty period. My car was at the dealer multiple times for what ended up being replacement of multiple sensors and the main wiring harness, which would have been $5000+ out of warranty. Polaris never questioned my vehicle mileage or being used during the stop ride, and fixed the car outside of warranty, so I have to give them a shout out for that.

When do they make a 4 seater
I asked a Segway rep a few months back and he hinted that we might see one by the end of the 2025 calendar year. The big push is to get the Super Villain out first.

The way he said it, I got the feeling it was the current model Villain SX10 model that would be released as a 4 seater, as he mentioned a power increase coming, which the Villain SX10 would need.

How are the speed key users liking them in the dunes? I have seen one review and it was in Idaho. I have seen a handful of speed cars in glamis and spoke to many owners, but sadly none were using their speed keys.

18 weeks on the market, and nobody wants it?

This says more than words could ever convey.

Not a very good ad.. it doesnā€™t state any (if any) it has..

The car new actually cost less than what he is selling for if I remember correctly.

I would agree.

But do you honestly think that's the Main reason it's been on the market for 18 weeks? Because of the copy?
