On facebook they are claiming almost half (15/34) are experiencing belt issues. I have only seen pics of 4 or 5 blown belts but probably not everyone is posting about it.

Just now 5 minutes ago drove past Speed UTV Lake Havasu City. I see nothing but effort and prosperity. Check into RDP and there is your Bull Shit every day. No matter the issue. LOL

My canam has done the exact same thing spit belt pieces on the turbo behind the rear seat.
Any “fix” is some sort of barrier aka screen or rigid grid within the cvt air outlet which would significantly cut down air flow🤷🏼‍♂️

That is an exit port. A screen will not slow down the exiting air enough to matter. On the X3 it funnels the pieces down and prevents them from shooting directly out..

I have this crazy natural ability to break things in ways more creative than other people. Itwill be interesting when I get my speed car.
I will tell my Canam it’s not allowed to do what it did.

Holy hell. Looks like there’s a few cars on the way.

it's been 6 weeks since this picture? have these cars been delivered?

on another note, im reading on several platforms there are several issues.

steering-feedback is bad, another new fix is on the way.
brakes-no plan to fix these from speed. buy new 4k brake kit.
belt issues-there is a plan to fix this but its super-secret. speculation says new clutches are in order? they better figure it out before sand season.
overall quality issues- still having stickers peeling, loose lines, loose hardware all over the car, fix is being implemented.

power is down from multiple reports (this has the most HP non speed key at 225) and everyone says power is lacking big time
brakes once you finally get the car up to speed you have to brake early according to reviews. car will stop but it's not known for its brakes like the pro r

fit and finish is lacking big time, lots of simple cosmetic issues

car handles nice out of the box, ergonomics are good and people like the safety feeling it gives
suspension is on point for small-medium chatter and holes. car soaks them up as it should
big holes, car still bottoms out, but more tuning maybe required depending on riding area.

overall the car is performing. but still has major growing pains.

Sounds like a solid investment.

I’m not sure but it doesn’t seem like you’re going to be an early buyer Ian. 😉. I hope they get it all figured out soon so Ashley can get his car(s).
I’m not worried about it either way. Unless something drastic happens I’m keeping the Can Am. If something does happen I’ll grab a used Pro R so i can keep up with @Bullhead bully

PS. Just in case you change your mind. @Bpracing1127

I believe this guy started out asking $90k/$95k..... Im guessing the "Im gonna sell my early number car for soooooo much and make bank bro..." crowd are rethinking that investment...
He's at 85K now.

I believe that would still be a hell of a profit?
yes but not too crazy imo. They are now 50 new + tax and lic so around $55k OTD at best.
No sales tax on used transfers in AZ so the buyer would be paying the equivalent to a $20,000 ADM fee.
I’m surprised it’s not already in Dubai.

read the #14 car in Baja didn't finish is ride. They had a water temp sensor go bad and couldn't get a replacement down there. Also read he went through several belts (so did the rest of the group too)

The Off the Grid guys move at fast pace so not surprised stuff breaks and belts go boom on those trips. Baja finds ways to break stuff.

Good news is his Speed UTV has gone the most miles of any of the other ones in customers hands and no engine/trans failures.

You got the temp sensor correct, but Rick only blew 1 belt, not several. He lost that belt at around 700 miles into the ride, then about 50 miles later the sensor took a shit. He also had a ground wire come loose on a fan relay, and tore a CV boot. Unfortunately the temp sensor put the car in limp mode and he had to throw it on a trailer.

What’s the fix for the temp sensor?

a new temp sensor AND / OR a code reader to clear the code to get it out of limp mode. I would think it would a little glitch in the system instead of a faulty temp sensor…

That is the problem with buying a new 1st year product - Need to get the bugs worked out !

Saw these on a trailer on the way to work this morning. No idea if these belong to a new owner, or are being delivered. (I live near Robby G's house, so they might be coming from there.)

Robby told me he was on a plane from NC yesterday and headed to a 4wheel dyno for some ECU safety testing.
Probably where these are headed.

I believe it would be a new sensor installed, but this is the 2nd sensor that we have learned about, so I'm guessing who ever is making those sensor is having some QC issues.

They should add one of those temperature sensors to the maintenance package if you buy it.

How much you wanna bet? 😁

When you compare it against the other offerings out there, it Seems like Speed owners got exactly what they paid for to me? 🤷‍♂️

I’m just thinking what’s the alternative? If all the big manufacturers were priced exactly the same I would pay a little more if I had to in order to get the one I wanted and get it faster than ordering one. I’m guessing $60k+ on a canam or Rzr with suspension and cage, nets, radio etc to match a speed car options.??
With no tax, it’s not that far off if you are a speed nutswinger and/or you’re just the homo who wants the car that will get the most attention while sitting at Olds not driving. The ADM fees are still that on escalades.
Stop talking about this now you’re fucking up my resale marketing for when I list mine😆😆😆😆😆😆

4WD dyno with speed key. I heard 231 HP at the wheels. Speed key plus improved brakes, that’ll take care of the competition
