Those are all the same questions I’m asking. My impression is that it will be a 2023 car. This is the last year a gasoline Corvette will be produced and with the new flat plane crank 670hp motor. 15k over invoice of the current MSRP for the car as ordered. Can GM keep up the supply to meet the demand for this car? I doubt it. Most likely many orders will be cancelled due to limited availability. IDK? Currently trying to find a dealer around the country accepting orders and I’ll place one and see what happens….worst case is I won’t get the car due to high demand and limited supply. Refunded the 3k. Those that are able to get one will be worth a lot more once production stops. Can’t get one if I don’t try.

Lemme know when you get an answer, cause none of that makes any sense, and it sounds like some salesman is just talking shit! 🤣

Plus I'm sure you know, GM is spinning off the "Corvette" into its own vehicle division. At least that's the word on the street anyway.

Did we ever get a weight on the 4 seater? I don't remember if RG or Todd ever told us a final weight.

Does anything make sense anymore??

I didn't read the 10,000 posts on other thread, i would be curious to know how many people would of threw down deposits if they were told it will be 3 years before getting it.

With the price increases and demand on spots I am regretting not purchasing more.

23 posts...it lasted 23 posts.

@RiverDave I've seen a ton of "tracked" SXS's here in WA this week...honestly they look fun as hell. I wonder if Speed will be offering their own add on for it, or if an aftermarket will.... With the reported power they would be a monster on the snow trails, and would make me want to consider one down the road.

Keep them fkn things away from the snowmobile areas!

Yup, he said, " We have tons of cars in Havasu. "
I can't make sense of why he would say that when it was clearly not true then or now, very odd.

I didn’t watch the live, but I can say having gone by the facility they aren’t in the Hastings building. Lol. If they are I didn’t see em?

Has Speed or RG said how many 4-seaters they will build before switching over to build some 2-seaters?
I received this email making me think I'll be the 203 4-seater built:
"Dear Chris,
Speed UTV would like to congratulate you on your Pre-Order of the new El Jefe RG Edition your Master Unit number is #1377 and your El Jefe Unit number is #203."
Perhaps they made a typo and meant I'm #203 only on RG edition of El Jefe but that is not what they wrote.

Don’t quote me on it but I think they said 1,000 four seaters before the two seaters start?

2550lbs is what I recall them saying. That might have been a guess by RG and not an actual weight though.

We are gonna try this a third time, except this time without the arguing for the sake of arguing.

Got a legit question? I will be happy to answer it from a deposit holder’s perspective..

Latest news is apparently they are dropping 12 cars and seeing how it goes. The fact that number is 12 and not 20+ is a little concerning to me as a deposit holder.. I was under the impression they were going to drop at least 20. 😳

That said LOF won’t be arguing in this thread

I can tell you that the pro R engineers were trying to put in around 250 miles a day for a long time to try and get failures to happen. And they would go to different terrains to try and get in different scenarios to see how the car reacted. We were in Johnson valley in the dead heat of summer testing and had to hide on top of a Mtn because there was people in vehicles coming towards us. We waited like 45 mins then went back to base camp a different way. Unfortunately not every little issue can be found until it’s in consumers hands and they th8nk they are trophy trucks 😜

I had just driven through the Hastings building parking lot the day before he made the statement, hence the reason I thought it was such an odd thing to say.
I posted to Speed during the live video, but they didn't respond.
It's a small town, and he knows it, weird thing to try a lie about. Why send up red flags? Unless, as people have said, any talk is good talk.🤷‍♂️

So if the 2552lb number is correct and Polaris specs of the Pro R 4 seater at 2480lb is correct they are pretty damn close on weight! It will be interesting to see a drag race stock vs stock. The Canam 4 seater is actually faster than the Pro R once they get going on a straight from what I have seen, but when they get in the bumps the Pro R just says goodbye.

I just got my car back from SDG so i'm excited to see how much better it works now too! Hopefully some of my friends get their Speed cars so we can have some real head to head tests!

I guess I get the hype and deposit money and willingness to wait for this car now by those who want it. I recently inquired about a 2023 ZO6 Corvette from Selman Chevrolet. They are requiring a $3,000 refundable deposit. $15,000 over invoice and currently a 5 year waiting list!!! Is that gonna deter me from ordering one? Hell no. I want one! So if Offroad SxS is your thing and you ordered a Speed car and don’t mind waiting because you just want one, who G.A.S. what anyone else thinks….
Not to detour the thread to much. So you would be getting a 2028 ZO6? I would imagine pricing would be unknown for that year, correct?

Great spot on SDG today! I had Todd and Jason do my Turbo S a couple of years ago and what a different car!

Ya I had them do my Turbo S last year and man it was crazy how much of a difference it made! I wonder if they are gonna mess with the Speed cars once they are out haha.

If anyone wants to learn a bit about shocks and their operation here is my shameless plug for my Shop Tour today:

Which manufacturer has a race program? I hear the Polaris program is pretty good if you are lucky enough to be invited.

I'm not a brand-specific type of consumer. Honda and BFG have done a great job building brand loyalty if you want to chase the dream of racing the Baja 1000. I think the market is ripe for a manufacturer of UTVs to build a race program that enables tourists (amateur racers, not actual tourists, Thank Pistol for that phrase) to drive fast in a safe environment.

I think RG is too busy trying to get these cars delivered, but imagine if he hired a few good business people to handle that crap and built a race program for Speed UTV.

I bet people would line up (again) with cash to participate in racing his cars if it included a few perks that allowed him to go back to the well and build recurring revenue.

A bunch of things come to mind that would maintain some crazy margins. Do any of the other OEMs have race programs that average people can sign up for?

This one is pretty popular. I think we have an inmate or two involved.

My bro in law races when he has the time.

It's not for the faint of heart. Or wallet.

Negative. 2023. But, unless your name is Rick Hendrick or Jay Leno or someone of that stature the delivery date is unknown….

Thanks for sharing. That looks pretty cool, but I was asking about a race program, not a race series. Maybe my question was vague.

When you are on the BFG race program, you buy the good race-spec tires directly from Jackson Motorsports and gain access to pit support and improved course intel. Honda has a similar support structure that cuts racing costs in Baja because they have (had) outstanding pit support.

I've been away from offroad racing for many years, but I recall at one point, you could buy a race-spec car from one of the OEMs that did not have all the stuff you had to upgrade, like the cage, seats, and belts. Having a parts program and pit support would be cool. In the case of Speed, UTV RG could offer a bit more since his name is part of the value prop with an opportunity to attend a driving school or take advantage of logistics or other racing experiences he could share.

Imagine if your Speed UTV purchase included an online learning management system that taught you how to drive. Set up your pits, prep for Baja etc. Back that up with an app that allows you to track your racing, record your improvements and earn points. Redeem the points for apparel, and by being part of "The Speed UTV race program, you get to attend special events or gain access behind the velvet rope.

I'm pretty aware of the costs of racing; I used to make a living in that industry. I'm curious if there is a program that would provide a reason for me to pick one brand over the next if I get a wild hair to get back behind the wheel of a race car. I might have an itch that I need to scratch, and I do not see a clear path to choose a brand.

If you think the last of the 2023 model year Z06's, will still be rolling off the assembly line in 2028, it sounds to me like you're lending the dealer $ 3,000 at zero percent interest.
I'm guessing that you're hoping several thousands of others like you, bail before you, allowing you to move up to a spot in line that's that increases your odds to at least marginally possible.
Good Luck 👍

I fixed it for you:
I give this thread 2 minutes🤣

All joking aside I am looking forward to seeing these cars out there and hearing the inmates reviews on them as they put them through their paces
