I’m 99% sure speed hasn’t finished anything on time (their own deadline) or at all. I could be wrong tho

Events and timelines come to mind

Norra last year DNF
KOH this year dnf
Mint DNF
Norra not looking good so far this year

First 12 ride. Plethora of other problems (steering, electronics) to the point a customer had to use Todd’s car

Ssss bolts in welds, door problems

Ssss broken trailing arm (could have happened anytime but really bad timing)

Epa cert + carb cert dilemma

Tranny replacements (6 weeks, their words) we are going on 3 months

Back around Labor Day 2022, cars before Halloween worst case thanksgiving here we are may 1st 2023 with no cars delivered

I’m sure there are more but those are the big ones that stick out. Call me a hater but these many problems this early on is unreal. Optics don’t look good for sustainability from my seat.

Rider reviews are not 100% stellar too.

This can be Surprising to a lot of people that think I do not want the car to succeed, however I do as it’s good for the industry. But man it’s so badly run and executed it’s hard to stand behind it

Well two of the three didn’t finish under there own power. I know hatter or RG is sleeping with my husband again or something.
You’re wrong all 3 cars finished. Max ran out of fuel on the pavement on the non timed transfer stage to finish. Robby got his car fixed and finished around 9pm.

Did they have some issues? Yes, but even I have to give Speed credit for not just putting Robbys car on the trailer to the finish line. He drove the full course. Someone said they missed a course turn and went the wrong way, also costing them a bunch of time?

Couldn’t have said it better. Could add the arrogance and attacks by the President of Speed when he gets questioned. Wonder when Hison takes the reigns and boots current management

Pretty sure those issues such has being towed across the line and getting hauled somewhere to have the turbo replaced are disqualifying in most race series unless your a “new” owner “management” of NORRA.

No, none of those are grounds for disqualification in NORRA, even before Robby bough into the org. The transit stage is not timed, so being towed on it, or fixing your car will not disqualify you.

True story:
When Robby called for the helo extraction for his speed car at KOH, the cost was negotiated as “a pallet of speed tool cases”. The Heli co had the sets before that deal in all the rigs and loved them.
At the time of our convo that day, no one actually knew how many were on a pallet😆 I’ll have to find out how that played out.

This is my buddy’s pic, they landed it at Dave Cole’s ranch not my property. I would have loved to have met Robby under those circumstances.

Now why would you wanna meet someone when he's completely pissed off??

Gotta be a joke here somewhere??

You are wrong again. NORRA does not penalize you for being towed or fixed on the course. That’s always been the rules and has nothing to do with Robby. I looked up the rules for Score and you can also be towed a % of the total race miles, and you can be towed off the course and repaired, but you need to re-enter the course where you left it. I watch Dakar each year and their rules let all competitors be towed from any point of the race course to the finish by another competitor or by those huge support trucks. Your times just keeps going until you finish the stage. And you must start the next day to continue. In allot of ways NORRA is more like Dakar.

It's the negative world we live in. Ever since covid people's attitudes and perception on life have gone to shit.
I see since before Covid basically these younger generations just don’t seem to have the same Attitude and work ethic as the people who are older.

there’s a lot of sarcasm there, sorry it doesn’t translate through my keyboard. I’ve met Robby multiple times and he knows that I, like thousands of others, have one of his cars on order. Robby has got pretty thick skin and is a pretty nice guy imo if you’re not trying to steal his patents or do business with him.
He already had all night to digest the tranny issue before the car was pulled out the next day. I would probably have said some smart ass remark like “you better fix that issue before you get to building my car”… but I’d start with “welcome to my air tow impound lot, it will only cost you one speed tool kit to leave with your vehicle”

Is it SCORE where you can’t be towed across the finish line ?? I know one of the series had that rule no towing with a certain distance from the finish and someone pushed another vehicle across the line and they allowed it

A few of the “younger generation”sure wake up early. Probably doing homework before mommy drops him off. :)

Yes in SCORE you must finish under your own power, you are not allowed to be towed across it. A team got a penalty for this at San Felipe this year actually.

.00001% of RZR catch fire and that’s all we hear. Speed cars take 3 years+++ (still no end in sight) and those that call it like it is are haters?

If Polaris took deposits and didn’t provide a product it would be nonstop hate, class action lawsuits, etc.

I am actually quite impressed that Robbie was able to generate so many deposits and not provide a product after all this time. Basically millions and millions of dollars in interest free loans. Quite a hustle if you ask me.

It’s getting laughable at this point. I don’t get the blind loyalty. I would’ve got my deposit back long ago. I truly hope people get their cars, but I’m not so sure. Seems like a BK is closer to reality than actually delivering a product at this point.

Robby running around buying stuff is an even bigger slap in the face. His sole focus should be delivering a product.

People were complaining recently how Howard asks for money up front on a 2yr build. At least they are getting a proven product.

1500 hundred down Base Diablo to hold my place on Feb 1st 2021. 1500 more in options they upgraded me to an LE at no additional deposit needed only a couple months ago. That car is now at 45% more today. I will wait patiently I have another car to use in the meantime. You are correct for the way you feel about if we don’t all feel the same.
Not a big deal for me I am only speaking for myself. I do understand there are quite a few different situation’s and we’re not in the same boat so to speak.

Anymore race updates? I havnt seen much since day 2?

There have been updates, not super impressive updates, but there are some.

Todds 177 car was parked on a trailer yesterday for day 4, according to Speed, they lost a couple bolts in the steering rack, and struggled trying to find spares, so they didn't start yesterdays stage. Robby stayed behind in Loreto and let a friend and new co-driver take the production 4 seater for the staged, don't think they had any issues according to the post.
Max in 977 had another flat, a CVT issue, and clogged air filter from some silt beds that put the car in limp mode, and he ran out of gas again. He finished 10th in class yesterday.
Today is the final stage to Cabo, all 3 cars should be completing that stage. Robby and Max still racing, and Todd just doing the stage for fun.

Why are they running out of fuel so often? Not bashing the car. This sounds like a team/crew/strategy problem.

They mentioned that they are struggling trying to figure out accurate fuel mileage, They are also running on 35's which may be changing MPG more than expected, and they have pretty small fuel tanks. I don't think any of them have large tanks.

They might have got if figured out, doesn't seem to be kicking into Limp Mode in the last 10 minutes, and he's running a pretty good pace.

Watched the finish line interview with Robby. He mentioned that Max was suppose to stop at the Mag 7 pits for fuel and he just blows right by them. He said after day 1 he told Max he needs to stop. On day 2 & day 3 Max did the same thing and drove right by and ran out of fuel. Robby said he can’t figure out why Max can’t remember to stop for fuel?? Lol.

He said they got the gear boxes in and should have 3 customers cars done this week. The rest of the 12 the next week.

Seems like the race ready Speed UTVs still need some major tuning. “Professionals” driving with huge race support and not even close to podium. Moral of the story? Don’t be arrogant and make claims that people can poke holes in like Swiss 🧀 cheese. Keep your mouth shut till you prove your product. Good luck to those who trusted and gave money as deposit. Wait till customers get them and see what really happens! 🍿 🍿🍿

Can someone post the Team Speed actual results?

How many cars started?

How my cars finished within the rules?

What place did they finish, if so?

Anyone? Thanks. I can't be the only one wondering!

I can tell you don’t use spelling or grammar check either it’s ok but when your trying to belittle someone be good to let everyone know what your saying…. And no not on the west coast. Obviously your infatuated with what I say. I’m just here for entertainment! Shows start at 3am PST. Maybe you can lift your head off RG 🥜 long enough for him to update why these “Race Ready” machines are not even contenders!

That's why I asked about finishing within the rules. Was that for the actual race? Or just practice?

I can't imagine that would fly in the actual race!

🤷‍♂️
He wasn't towed across the finish line, he was towed to then of a transit section, but that is not part of the timed race, so it didn't matter. At then end of th elast stage he was towed to where fans gave him gas so that he could drive across the finish line.
