Warranty starts day vehicle is sold. That 12-18 month warranty for those first 10 is already 2 months old.
Hoping the car perform as it should, but don’t except to hear anything until October. Dirt season is over

12-18 months, are some different than others? How do you know they started the warranty 2 months ago?

I believe those are real production cars?
I think they are production cars intended for testing purposes. Testing to iron out any issues with the cars. Now that they are delivered to actual customers, is it full speed ahead with production line. Or let these ten run around and see how they perform for a month or two before firing up the production line.

Robby said the warranty wouldn’t start until they took delivery with the new transmission. Speed utv I believe has a six month warranty factory. They offered a 12 month white glove service deal that includes group rides etc..

going off website.
you would be crazy not to get the extended warranty. start making exceptions to when warranty starts for some folks vs others and that opens a liability to the company

I’ve been off the radar for a bit. See this thread going strong.

Are these cars delivering now ? Real numbers in service ? Just curious.

2 of the first 10 test cars are able to be taken home?
What about the other 8 cars that were tested months ago?
Now that summer is here I don't think any actual testing will be able to be seen.

They are installing the new trans right now. As they finish each car they release it. They are hoping to be done with the first 10 in a week or so.

Nick has put around 100 miles on his so far, and is heading to Sand hollow this weekend. Not sure what the other car has planned, but they had it out this weekend.
It's summer and not riding season in the Southwest desert, but there are plenty of other places to ride in the summer where the weather isn't hot as balls.
If I get mine while it's still hot, I'll but doing some Williams rides, and some Utah rides. No reason you can't put them on a trailer and head somewhere cool.

Right? Cracks me up when I see this or that season is over threads.

It's always riding or boating season somewhere. 👍🏼

Problem for many is trips are based around holidays and school. While you might be able to find a good place to ride on 4th of july everyone else will be at the lake on their boat. My season's aren't really weather based but pre-scheduled with other familys basied on work/school/holiday schedules. So if my toy isn't ready for those dates then I really do miss that season.

I'm sure you are right. My kids may have missed a day or two of school...

Too long now ago to remember. 😉

About time. Issued Feb 22, 2023.
Wonder how this impacts those CA residents that got skipped in the first set of units pre-delivered. Are they getting skipped again or in the next group.

However, this fine print could hurt future deliveries
That's pretty much standard issue. I work in the automotive aftermarket and we are always working to update our E.O. numbers to match the "engine" family years. It takes forever to get the state to do anything so I am surprised that they got their E.O. so fast.

I will say that us being a parts manufacture and them producing the actual vehicle is probably not apples to apples but I would think the E.O. process would be similar. If they can prove the engine is the same year after year the E.O. should roll over to the following year.

I will say Max Gordon is a solid young dude. His Mom & Dad have done a great job raising him. He’s pretty humble all things considered.

He took the time to sign autographs and take pictures at each stage with his fans at the NORRA race. He has a huge following of the similar generation chasing him down each day. Was a mob of young boys and girls around him at each stage.

He also took the time to interact with the rest of us racers.

Watched the finish line interview with Robby. He mentioned that Max was suppose to stop at the Mag 7 pits for fuel and he just blows right by them. He said after day 1 he told Max he needs to stop. On day 2 & day 3 Max did the same thing and drove right by and ran out of fuel. Robby said he can’t figure out why Max can’t remember to stop for fuel?? Lol.
Sounds like max hasn’t slept in a cold desert enough times yet to learn that lesson, it really only take one good cold night for that lesson to set in 😂

Sara Price in a CanAm did back to back to back, winning her class in the Sonora Rally, then immediately going to NORRA to win her class (Stock Turbo UTV), then immediately to the Dos Mars race where she podiumed. Sara finished 14th overall at Norra.

The trophy bronco I was chasing ended up 2nd in Vintage Open Truck and 13th overall in a close race against Dane Cardone who won the class and was 12th overall.

As for towing, its only allowed to be done on a hot track by another competitor. Exceptions made to get unstuck. And a competitor can be towed across a stage finish but not across the final finish of the rally which they must complete under their own power.

Finally, The Matlocks rock, with Kristen finishing 3rd overall and Wayne finishing 4th overall in Pro R's winning the Open UTV class.
Both Sara and Kristen are setting the bar very high for the Speed UTV. Competition is a great thing and Speed has plenty of it.
I can't wait until the Speed UTV shows it's full potential in a long desert race. It's coming...

Wayne was penalized a few times for blocking and not letting cars pass. That wasn’t cool as he kept his wife just far enough out front.

Not taking anything away from either of them. They both can drive the hell out of a car but NORRA wasn’t pleased with the behavior after being warned. Quite a few people were talking about it by the time we were at dinner in Lareto.

We were in the Stock Turbo UTV class so we couldn’t hang with the Matlocks. Spoke to them for a while as my buddy’s uncle knows them well.

The Mag 7 pits were odd this year. We skipped one and got lucky on the next. The one we skipped had two guys pouring fuel from basic cans and they were backed up 10 cars deep. Lots of people were losing spots just sitting and waiting. We picked up a dozen spots at one Mag 7 by just not stopping. We radio’d ahead to our team and got fuel a few miles up.

The second Mag7 we got lucky. We were the first car in line. By the time they splashed us with 10 gallons the line was backed up at least 10 deep again. We picked off a few cars there too.

If your chase team is shadowing you somewhat from the highway it’s a better strategy to call the troops in for a few gallons than it is to depend on Mag 7.

Max was in the mix to compete in the class. I can understand why he blew the Mag 7 pits if they looked anything like what we saw.

100% !!! At the 2021 UTVWC in Havasu we sat next to him at breakfast at Rustys. We started small talk with him and he is very humble and speaks like a kid 3 times his age.... and the kid can FLAT OUT drive!!! He will dominate the sport in a few years, wont matter what he is sitting in, he will be up front.

Correct, these are just El Jefes.
I believe my first car #687 is in the first batch of 500-550

These are the numbers that just arrived in So Cal, and enroute to Havasu (or a few already here).

I have stayed out of this cluster of a topic so far, but want to say I am happy that the guys who have deposits on these cars are finally seeing some of them starting to be delivered, so the pipeline is flowing, however slow that may be. I hope these machines turn out to be all you wanted and hoped for and more, and I hope you have a blast with them. I also hope that this additional competition in the marketplace does what it should do...make all of the mfg continue to step up their game.

Why would you leave it after all this wait? I don’t get it? You could take it to utah, Williams, flagstaff area in the Moho and get some seat time no?
easy answer. Deposit holder have patience. Non deposit holders do not. This is the root of every thread for years
