I don't know if it's the audio, but the car sounds like shit.
I posted this in another form as well..
Hey folks, tragedy has struck the Speed family today at the NORRA Rally. Any chance we can all send our thoughts and prayers to all involved and keep all comments positive and supportive
The pilot's death is confirmed
Johnny Kaiser 51 years old who came today running the Norra Mexican 1000 event aboard the Buggie Class 5 of the Paquette Racing team #507 where he was impacted by another competitor at the height of the Cancun Cross 32 km from Cd. Constitution BCS!!
Here we leave one of his last running photos captured by yours truly taken 20 minutes before his sad destination...
We regret this terrible event and wish him quick resignation and condolences to the whole family!
Rest in peace Johnny...

Shouldn't you be hungover and still sleeping? That race was no joke this year!! That was a gnarly course in some areas and not just all fire roads thats for sure. Here is the same post I put on another website summing up the race:
Here is the real deal. The Pro R is simply the BEST UTV out on the market right now. Thats not an opinion thats a straight up FACT. The Pro R racing this race were mostly STOCK machines, go look at the entries and the machines for them. Lambert was the only one in a "race" car and his is one of the most stock ones there is! He has stock front and rear suspension including stock balljoints! Wayne won in his PRERUNNER Pro R which once again is mostly stock! The speeds these cars are going is amazing. We had 1 driver error and 2 clogged air filters, one belt that ripped in half with a rock when we had the clutch intake disconnected, thats IT. The SPEED SXS were falling apart daily, including Max's full built race car. I dont think it finished one stage without at least breaking a belt. We did NOTHING to our car at night besides change the airfilter. Same axles we started with (minus the crash front right lol), changed tires around but never got a flat, added 1 QT of oil one time, washed it off. Once again not talking shit at all just talking facts.
20 out of 23 Pro R Entered in the race finished.
12 out of 17 Speed Finished
The highest speed UTV that finished would have been 8th in the Pro R class.
Hope you guys enjoyed watching the live feed all day everyday!!!
Its funny I was too tired to even drink much. I had 4 drinks and went to sleep hahaha. Tonight its on though!!!!Shouldn't you be hungover and still sleeping?

See you guys at the 500?Congrats on finishing Fish. Are they doing the party on the beach again this year? The fireworks show is legit.
Again, congrats and drink it up tonight!
Do you have some of the times ?That race was no joke this year!! That was a gnarly course in some areas and not just all fire roads thats for sure. Here is the same post I put on another website summing up the race:

NoDoes anyone know of a normal everyday Speed owner that has received their Speed Key ? Has RG started delivering them ?
No speed keys, he hasn’t passed carb or epa yet.Does anyone know of a normal everyday Speed owner that has received their Speed Key ? Has RG started delivering them ?
Took the team golfing yesterday for a “team meeting” to discuss our options lol
We will definitely be at the NORRA 500. Car is going thru some big updates right now. All new suspension and chassis updates to exceed SCORE requirements. After testing we probably won’t be ready until late summer.
Have fun tonight. It’s always a big ass party and the people are rad.
I like that look and feel while driving
Saw some guy win the pci radio 300 in a pretty stock Speed Utv on 35’s
Wasn’t a different speed. That was him. He won by default. Winning is winning. The saying if you ain’t first your last holds here as it was 2 entries. The other entry DNF the first stage. So all the this guy had to do was finish one lap on stage 2 to win. That's pretty impressive. I know car #2965 raced it and had non stop issues. First heat had over heating issues, broken belt, several cv boots lost, and an broken axle causing him to time out on lap 5. 2nd heat only made it one lap before the exhaust broke and they had to pull out. Sucks because they put a lot of work into the car. They were running this cool dual fan setup on the clutch cover. Glad to hear a different speed was able to finish and win.

From a "performance / potential" standpoint - do you feel the Speed car shows advantages in certain scenarios? Leaving durability / reliability out of the equasion here (separate conversation)-
On paper it has alot going for it, but im curious if it translates out in the field under race conditions, from what you are seeing.
Obviously Robbie has made a thousand videos comparing how it is designed, constructed, geometry, etc and explained how it should be better.
What do you feel the Speed car's strengths are, and what are it's weaknesses ?

His car damn near fell apart at the end.
Suspension it’s there I’m sure. Also I like how the CG is really low it seems to handle well and be able to throw it in turns. Other than that I don’t see any advantage in real world racing use over the last week.Congrats on the race!

longer wheelbase makes ya more stable but doesn’t turn worth a chit…..
at least my can am maxxxxx doesn’t
lol
car looks awesome!
Congratulations on the Norra Finish…..
Thanks bud. It’s weird driving as the dash has been extended into what was once the front driver/passenger area so the front end is looong. With all the weight mounted low and driver/co-pilot sitting in the middle of the car it airs out really flat and predictable. The ELKO suspension works crazy good too.
We didn’t race the NORRA 1000 this year but will race their 500 series. Looking at doing some Legacy series and maybe King Of Hammers this year.
ELCO suspension??
Quick reply and no self editing led to the mistake
There’s more than just getting air out of the CVT housing. It’s been confirmed there is a clutch alignment issue, and possibly a few other things within the clutches. That's pretty impressive. I know car #2965 raced it and had non stop issues. Did you ever find someone to find tune those shocks? Or did you just do it yourself?
Found a tech that works at Fox Shocks that knows them well. He’s in San Diego. Sending back east was a pain in the ass so happy I found someone locally. I opened them up and they’re not all that difficult but he can build a spicier tune for them way better than I can.
They definitely have big potential in the right hands. Good luck!
We tested both sets we own. We have a set of Fox as well. We like them! A well set up suspension feels like you added a hundred horsepower.

I just saw his victory post.. I’m curious where did you get all that information, especially the part about falling apart at the end?
Got link?
It was on fb.. it just had some pics and that they had won. I’m wondering where the it almost fell apart info came from..
I’m not familiar with M.O.R.E classes and their race numbers but here ya go…
5) Combined Race Times - Google Drive
docs.google.com
Well that is why I asked the question of where the information came from..
I'm wondering what class the Speed Cars were in.
Very likely to be true... theres so much state side racing going on right now with different promoters that the classes get very small. Everybody keeps spreading out and cherri picking races that fit their schedules best, which I totally get. I race in the UNLTD series, Parker 400, Mint 400 and Cal 300... you have to race ALL 3 to be in their points race. I took 2nd at Parker out of 4 entries, 7th at Mint out of 13 (We DNFd, my kid rolled the car with a 15min lead on last lap... that one HURTS)... now for the Cal 300 in October all I have to do is show up and start the race and we win the points series since Im the only guy to "race" all 3 races.... Not really a big feather in my cap. Id rather get top 10 in a field of 30 racers and have more competition, but I get it, people race the races that fit their schedules/budget/time.I don't care Who you are...
Now that's Fucking hilarious if it is true!

Potentially class 2900
I wonder what JSpeed means?
