LMAO, i cannot see anyone posting in this thread sitting & riding in the Back Seat of anything they own. I’m coming up on 80 years of age, cannot remember not once sitting in any back seat of vehicles i own. :)
IMG_0948.png
6,4 210 I’ve spent some time riding in the back seat but with my daughter upfront it’s not a big deal since the seat is slid all the way up. Sometimes the kids want to see too.

Lies! The car needs nothing! People will run them just like the lord RG intended it to be! No changes or aftermarket unless they’re from the speed factory catalog of patented parts and accessories.
You sure about that? There's already aftermarket companies putting out products, skid plates, seat risers, light bar mounts, and others. Elite race works just posted they have one to start making some parts for.

Yes the RDP speed pros said everyone would run these cars stock and not spend 20k to 80k in upgrades on them.

having trouble finding these companies making skid plates, seat risers, light bar mounts and others exclusively for the speed utv's, could you please provide some links to these companies and products, much appreciated, thanks

Rokblokz, chupacabra, there's also factory UTV working on a skidplate, Elite Offroad, but they haven't said what they are working on.
There's also a company working on an electric steering damper, but it's unknown who that is, as it's still in development.

Does anyone remember Diablo prices from 2020? I just upgraded from a base to a LE and can't remember the original prices.

without the speed key they are slower than a rzr turbo and suspension is too soft

I think most of them are running a low boost situation whether the owners realize it or not.

I know mine ran into the 30’s when I first got it.. now it’s running 26.

What is causing that is up for some discussion.. I know of at least two that the turbos developed cracks on the exhaust side, which doesn’t allow the waste gate to seal properly. In my case that would be between 8-10 lbs of boost being lost.

What the answer to that is I’m not entirely sure yet..

Overall I still think the car is an awesome platform.. but I can’t help but wonder what happens if they have to replace all the turbos in 600-700 cars. Figure four hrs to replace the turbo.. that’s a lot of labor.

I’m not saying I know that’s what it is.. but seeing two of them.. I’m thinking it could be.

I’m considering getting out ahead of it and replacing the turbos on both my cars so I don’t get stuck in the line if that’s what it turns out to be. On the inverse I don’t want to void the warranty by doing so…. So not sure?

I’m reading it’s in the clutches. The clutch is actually setup for e85 300 hp? With the lower hp the clutch is only pulling like 7400 rpm. And should be pulling 8500+.

Sounds like everyone needs to adjust their clutches for the lower 225 hp mode. But I think it’s more than just weights I think the helix on the secondary and spring need to be changed

I don't think the skid is sold out, I think they actually don't have them made and available yet. Factory UTV is rumored to be making a skid plate system as well.

I was with a guy this weekend and he made some adjustments to the clutch and saw crazy gains.. he also replaced the turbo and was back in the 30’s on boost.

Do you know what he did to his clutch? Like what number adjustment was he at, and what did he move it to?

I can call him and get the exact specs..
Might be useful for all of us, me especially, I know nothing about a belt driven car, or adjusting clutches.

Was it Chad by chance? If so, I can reach out to him.

Makes sense. It really wakes up my car so I would expect the same for the speed

Here is what I know. I did the same thing as you are doing.
On January 29, 2022 when I put a deposit down the base cost was $30,000 for a Diablo.

Then almost one year later on January 31, 2023 I switched up to an LE the cost was 34,000. That cost was based on the LE price on the day I put down the first deposit on the base, not on what it was on January 31, which I don’t know.

The cost of the LE when I put down my deposit was 32k if I remember correctly. I was hoping someone still had the info from Nov 2020 when I made my original deposit, it may have been only 31500.

The Speed is making 30lbs of boost? That is a lot for a stock UTV. I am thinking replacing the turbo netted the crazy gains. The clutch will make it more responsive.

No.. they include atmospheric In the gauge so sitting there idling it's already at 14.5. My numbers are based off the gauge.. they should run 34-36 lbs if my memory serves.. now mine runs 26. I believe I have the dreaded "cracked turbo" and I'd wager most of these guys struggling in the sand have the same.

Once again the only thing I was really worried about on these cars was the engine and trans. Thats scared me from the start. Like someone else said they need a Pro R engine and trans on that chassis and it would be the ultimate.

dude go back about a year and re watch the live feeds!

They’re already set up for a Fortin LS combo. Why would they go to a 4 cylinder.

Because that is significantly more expensive 😂

You’re gonna be the Ironman class of announcing lol.
Appreciate what you do bud. You, Cameron, Nate and Weatherman make a good team. Tons of good info for those of us racing.

Yes, the Base LE was $30k and the RG upgrade was $2500.00

I'll be receiving my call this morning for the SPEED UTT configuration meeting before production. #1317 El Diablo, I should be getting some sort of delivery date +- a few weeks :)

Replacing turbos on the cars will be a warranty nightmare. Wonder if this just happening on the turbo that came on the cars in the early rounds of delivery or is it on the updated turbo as well.

I think in about 2 model years, theses Speed cars will be the car to have. Let them work out the bugs and I might be ready for a 4 wheeler. Still on dirt bikes, but this is starting to look damn good.

Interesting, the dash gauge displays PSIA vs PSIG?

According to some, it’s taken so long to get to market because they were working out the bugs prior to them being released.
But yes, there’s many bugs that need to be worked out on these cars before they can be claimed as the #1 “production” SXS.

Yes unfortunately there is a lot more than originally let on.. I still say once it’s dialed it’s gonna be hard to beat. I love the car and will go through the process of fixing or upgrading everything to make it the real deal.

But that’s gonna take
Breaks
Turbo
Front upper Heims
Going through and checking everything and upgrading what’s holding the wiring harness above the skid plate..
Possibly moving the heat exchanger away from the radiator..

lol.

Still less shit than I had to do to my can am etc..

Was told if your losing boost, check your fuel
Pressure on the dash. Should start around 52lbs. As you create boost you need to be increasing fuel pressure. Good chance you might have a fuel pressure diaphragm issue. Did you do the upgrade yet?
