I don't believe LOF generally does what he does intentionally even though he tries to lay claim to results he favors after the fact.
I just think his inability to convey a message without seemingly to directly insult or put down people is just him.
I don't believe anyone truly hates him. He simply cannot evoke that much emotion from most members.
Irritating sometimes, yes. Hateful? I haven't seen it.

Grads on the other hand was strategic in his methods. He would intentionally Phish members with his posts and digs.
Quite often humorous but ultimately way divisive and that's never good for a group setting.
He crossed a line a few times from what would be considered banter to hateful and who needs that?

Despite all that and as Dave said before, more bannings than could be counted, he survived until he finally crossed a line too great to ignore.
