Kinda like the respect he shows fellow racers?
"During the 2005 running of the Sylvania 300, Gordon was involved in a wreck with Michael Waltrip, the driver of the No. 15 NAPA Chevrolet. The angered Gordon got out of his totaled car and threw his helmet at the No. 15 car as it was passing by. Tony Stewart's No. 20 missed the helmet just seconds after it hit Waltrip's car. When TNT interviewed him about the crash, he stated "You know Michael, everybody thinks Michael's a good guy. He's not the good guy like he actually is. The caution was out and he wrecked me and he's a piece of shit." TNT apologized for his language, and Gordon apologized after the race, but Gordon was fined $50,000 and docked 50 drivers points"
....2, 3, 4, 5 wait for it
I couldn't possibly care any less about nascar, or what RG did there, but I felt there was probably more to this story so I did some research. And of course, there's more to it..As you have,i posted my opinion.
Some buyers got a text or something today.Damn wife is in labor for 3 days and still no fucking speed cars
so cars are delivered?
Landon might be blowing out his first candle before we see a Speed car.Damn wife is in labor for 3 days and still no fucking speed cars
Holy shit, just went back and looked at SSSS pics. Kinda funny to be touting cars coming off the production line when that one has been “done” for months now… seems off to meLooking back at the SSSS pics, car 23 was at SSSS.
So if we are at 31 now, that progress / build rate is terrible.
Don't question the speed and efficiency with which this entire ordeal is moving......someone will put his turkey and stuffing down and serve you with a response filled with firsthand knowledge.Holy shit, just went back and looked at SSSS pics. Lol. No dog in this fight just some sarcasm. But are you even sure it was car 23. Or maybe it was 2 or 3 and they weren’t even sure so they just called it 23.Don't question the speed and efficiency with which this entire ordeal is moving......someone will put his turkey and stuffing down and serve you with a response filled with firsthand knowledge.
That said. I always rooted for RG in NASCAR. A single car /owner. Underdog. Just wanted him to always do well.Lol. No dog in this fight just some sarcasm. But are you even sure it was car 23. Or maybe it was 2 or 3 and they weren’t even sure so they just called it 23.
It shows on FB they do !!Happy Thanksgiving!
Fingers crossed Hoping for a few cars to be delivered very Soon!
Doesnt RG have an update tonight?
That’s only because people chose to make it that way .
It’s plain to see who is just having fun and who hopes we all get screwed, which is why the comment was made in the first place.
It’s a dirt toy.. let it go.
Again, why so much mystery? How is it possible nobody knows where these pictures are taken? They look completed. Is it 3 weeks to transport or 3 days from where ever that warehouse is?
Since that car was at ssss show I'm assuming it's on the west coast currently.
So many holes in this business.
CARB, is it done or not?
My Gordon, how many cars are assembled?
Where are they?
I don't understand why this is not clear
And....no I'm not a buyer. I considered it.
Way to many shenanigans
You’re truly delusional if you think you’re touting Speed and hating on members you call haters hasn’t made this thread all about you. Without you this thread would be exactly how you say you wish it would be
And this is all about the hand built first 100 cars, right?Looking back at the SSSS pics, car 23 was at SSSS.

I think the difference in this situation is 2 things.Honestly speeds biggest problem is they have been to transparent. They showed behind the iron door and opened up all these questions..
I couldn’t tell you anything about any of Polaris’s or can am, or Honda or Yamaha models before they are just released..
If they have problems after the release they issue fixes or stop rides.
Speed has shown pretty much everything from the start to where it’s at now. Every time there is a delay or every time they have a problem everybody throws their hands up and says “this is the end” or “Ponzi scheme” etc..
It’s kind of weird I have experienced a little of this action.. I put up some t shirt designs before hand and you get a variety of opinions. We end up manufacturing a few and some people will say “well I woulda bought it but I like xyz better when this color was abc”.
If ya just released the shirt they woulda just bought it.
I don’t expect LOF is helping the argument cause in this thread… but being realistic this same subject is happening on a variety of forums and fb / IG groups with similar responses.

And this is all about the hand built first 100 cars, right?
No sign of any higher numbers being built?
I wonder if numbering the speed cars will end up being an issue (good or bad) for early owners. Not saying it will or won’t just wondering out loud
They were unloading new cars at the old Hastings building today.
Agreed.Honestly speeds biggest problem is they have been to transparent. They showed behind the iron door and opened up all these questions..

10 minutes ago they had the roll-up open and they had a vehicle trailer full of Speed cars backed into it.Nice! Maybe I should drive down there and snap some pics..
Was it a lot of them or the usual three or so that have been touring?
Go down Dave!!! Live feed. LolNice! Maybe I should drive down there and snap some pics..

I think the difference in this situation is 2 things.
Inexperienced people starting a high risk company and I the think most contributing factor might be that they crowd sourced the start up funds which kind of opens their Komodo for all to see from the inception.

LOF to the bat phone...10 minutes ago they had the roll-up open and they had a vehicle trailer full of Speed cars backed into it.
Fuck the shower.I haven’t even showered yet.. lol. Might be worth it though
I remember reading somewhere that legally they aren’t allowed to touch the deposit money and it was all held in escrow until some milestone?
That said I’m not sure if that would apply to accessories and in the case if most of them the money for the accessories is 4-10x the deposit on the car..
That all said we don’t even know if it was crowd funded or privately.
LOF has done a great job of injecting his opinions as facts but the reality of it is he doesn’t know anything that they (speed only) has put out from their shows or on social media.

Maybe I'm exaggerating, "a few cars on a trailer"10 minutes ago they had the roll-up open and they had a vehicle trailer full of Speed cars backed into it.
Hearsay alert-
So a friend of a friend is supposedly taking delivery of a finished car, I’m guessing one of those finished ones pictured.
I’ll let the group know if I can confirm anything concrete.

Nothing at the Hastings building is being delivered. Biggest surprise there was there was two cars with the same number 3 and “preproduction” on the number plates.
Unless they have a batch coming in on a different hauler etc.. what I could see is in the pics
And this is all about the hand built first 100 cars, right?

Agreed.
Speed is now in a tough situation.
I hate to be a asshole, but to me, a non buyer, it just looks like a bunch of bullshit.
I like the car. No doubt it will be great riding. The business scared me away.
I'm not alone.
This will have a impact on resale and possibly new sales.
This thing needs to be a homerun and 'game changer' once it hits the hands of the first 1000 buyers. To get guys like me back on board is going to be tough.
I dont trust the business. So the car needs to be amazing.
No, when you take non-refundable deposits and make buyers pre-pay for all accessories and then fall a year and a half behind the projected schedule, (for whatever reason) you end up having no choice but to disclose information.
They've fallen short on that goal also.

Especially when they have 100 test cars driving around testing before they start mass production. It’s a completely different car than what he originally started to build. Then He decided to make his own power plant instead of using something that already existed. Then he decided to add a three speed sequential transmission instead of just a normal high low.
He was pretty transparent in each of these steps that it’s a whole different program and far superior to what he started with.
Honestly I am surprised they are at the point that they are at already. Any of those changes are monumental undertakings.
They are in the final Stages and the major hurdles have already been accomplished (in my opinion). Now they for sure have more hurdles, but dialing in a production line is far easier than creating an engine from scratch.
