In my opinion, what you're trying to say here is like saying trump is responsible for all those people storming the capital. Same with taking bidens bullseye comment out of context. Something I think a lot of people, including the video above, overlook is. He's not the president. At that point he wasn't even the official nominee yet. His security detail is muuuuuuuchhhhh different than that of the president. The second is that Donald Trump is known to push secret services beyond what they are comfortable with, to remain accessible, which I think is great. But, it creates problems for them at times. I think the fist in the air kind of shows this.

I saw another video from a different military sniper that talks about, I think he called it, dead space? Which meant the angle of the roof and the snipers ability to see a threat. He also discussed what that sniper is doing. It's likely, according to him, he's scanning around in the scope. So it's likely while he was looking through the glass he hadn't seen the threat yet. What he said is, we don't get to get a cup of coffee and then go back to the scope we stay dialed in.

Just a different perspective. Now that being said, that is a pretty glaring oversight, even for a smaller security footprint.

It definitely wasn't the fault of the sniper, like you said through a scope, tunnel vision, etc.

But what was a massive failure was for TWO MINUTES people in the crowd saw this douche belly crawling along the roof and told the authorities and they absolutely dropped the fucking ball.
