Mr. Trump was referring to a chart featuring immigration statistics on a screen to his right at his rally in a field in Butler County, Pa. He had turned to point to it and describe what was on the screen when shots rang out.

“He goes, ‘The border patrol saved my life,’” Dr. Jackson recounted in an interview on Sunday. “‘I was going over that border patrol chart.’ He said, ‘If I hadn’t pointed at that chart and turned my head to look at it, that bullet would have hit me right in the head.’”

If you did simulated combat training where you low crawl and they shoot over head in basic, then you’ve experienced it. At the time I had no idea they shot 10’ over your head in case some idiot stands up in the middle of the range. It was pretty intense, especially with a DI screaming at you the entire time. 😬

The only thing that changes this is if the shooter is using subsonic ammo.

It’s unmistakable when hearing the rounds come at you. Usually the wizzing is if the round is tumbling from a ricochet but direct live fire in your direction as @Outdrive1 is talking about is a wild experience.

I'm always trying to educate you unwashed masses by quoting historical figures, and Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Great Britain during WWII, is a favorite. He was one of the greatest men ever in modern events.

I sorta remembered a quote of his, but had to look up the origin. Churchill wrote about his experiences as a 23 year old war correspondent in South Africa during the Boer War at the turn of the 20th Century. He came under fire and was captured by insurgents, and in a daring bit of bravery, escaped his prison by scaling the walls and then to freedom under hay in a farmer's cart.

This was written in his 1898 book on the subject, and was no doubt experienced by Trump on Saturday:

"Nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result."

😁

@angiebaby will enjoy this.

The SS got Trump safely off the stage. And that, without question, was a fantastic thing. But, at that point they had no idea there was only one shooter. Had there been another shooter, since we could clearly see Trump’s face and head, I’d have to assume a properly placed 2nd shooter might have also. I realize, there’s a ton of would have, could have and should haves etc. But, why not screen, who they knew had been the target, with their coats?

I have to admit, i'm having second thoughts about what happened on J6.....

After seeing Trump over power 6 Secret Service Agents to get his shoes on and put his fist in the air, maybe he did actually fight his way through them to grab the steering wheel of the beast 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Trump said
When he was tackled by the SS they knocked him out of his shoes
I'm on scene of a lot of car accidents and it seems a pretty common thing.
I've wrecked a couple cars pretty bad, like destroyed bad, and somehow never been knocked out of my shoes😂🤣

Trump is probably penny loafers though

Not even so much as a statement....but supposedly already invited to the hill for testimony....

Here's my conspiracy theory, let him take his shot, then they take their shot to keep him from talking... Inside job.
I don’t think it’s conspiracy.
The way it was planned out but the shooter missed the target thank god

That the FBI released a statement saying they were searching for the shooter's motive is so stunningly ignorant it is almost unbelievable.

I say "almost", because the agency is a clown car driven by incompetence and stupidity.

This is what the premier American law enforcement agency is prioritizing. Don't read the entire thing, you'll injure yourself hitting your head against the wall.

We are committed to maintaining a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace that integrates equity across the entire organization. Our greatest asset is our people and they are imperative to ensuring the FBI can build trust, uphold the Constitution, and serve all communities.

Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI)

In 2013, the FBI was one of the first federal agencies—if not the first—to separate its diversity and inclusion function from its equal employment function to establish the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI). Linked together, diversity and inclusion drive innovation and enable us to attract and retain our workforce. It is essential to the success of our mission that we foster an organizational culture where you feel comfortable speaking up, contributing your perspective, and being yourself at work.

Once accepted into the FBI, you can get involved by joining a Diversity Advisory Committee (DAC) or Employee Resource Group (ERG), serving as a Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, and participating in the Cross-Cultural Mentoring and Sponsorship Program.

Diversity Advisory Committees (DAC)
DACs serve as formal champions of issues, solutions, and topics that affect underrepresented communities within our workforce. The committees work to improve employee experiences, encourage engagement in diversity, equity, and inclusion matters, and promote cultural awareness activities. Our DACs have made impactful changes within our workplace such as spearheading the addition of reflection and meditation spaces across the FBI, leading the establishment of lactation rooms and supplies for nursing mothers, as well as proposing changes to our leadership selection process to promote equity, to name a few.

Once you are an FBI employee, you can apply to be on the leadership team of a DAC, volunteer to be on a sub-committee, or join a DAC distribution list to learn about and participate in DAC programs, initiatives, or events.

I was going to type something along the lines of, "That's all Greek to me...." but refrained, as that may be culturally insensitive. So instead, I'll go with my standby...what a crock of shit!

Per Newsweek; On Saturday, prior to the assassination attempt, Trump's odds of winning the 2024 presidential election were 8/15 (65.2 percent) according to William Hill, a U.K. based betting company. However, after the shooting, this was slashed to a 4/11 (73.3 percent) chance of Trump achieving victory.

" The building where gunman Thomas Crooks scrambled onto the roof and opened fire was the staging area for the local police tactical team doing overwatch of the crowd, two law enforcement officials told ABC News "

If a bullet is traveling at 2,200 feet per second, doesn't it travel 73 feet in 1/30th of a second, or one frame ? Would that be visible ? 🤷‍♂️ Never tried it.

It sounds like the bullet was slowed by the impact with Trump's ear?

then again, the NY Times is involved, so there's room for some fuckery.

---

Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Doug Mills had his finger on the shutter when a gunman opened fire during former President Donald Trump's rally on Saturday.

Mills, who was covering the rally for the New York Times, initially thought the noise came from a vehicle, but he quickly realized it was something much more serious.

"When I saw him kind of grimace and look to his right and then grab his ear, and looked at it, I thought, and then he went down. I was like, 'Oh my gosh, he's been shot'," said Mills.

Mills has covered presidents since 1983 but never envisioned he would be witnessing an assassination attempt.

According to law enforcement officials, the shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, shot into the rally the former president was holding and fired six to eight rounds with an AR-style weapon. A Secret Service sniper quickly shot and killed him. Armed agents immediately whisked Trump off the stage, blood running down the side of his face.

One audience member, Pennsylvania firefighter Corey Comperatore, was killed in the shooting, and two other men are in critical condition.

Despite the chaos, Mills kept taking photos with his Sony camera, which shoots 30 frames per second.

"When he was ushered off the stage, I thought that was going to be the picture that, you know, he was bloodied ear, gave that fist pump. And I thought, you know, as I'm looking back at my camera, I'm sending pictures directly to The New York Times from my camera," said Mills.

Mills suddenly realized he had forgotten to send the photos taken while Trump was speaking. As he reviewed them, he noticed Trump grimacing and thought it might be the moment he was shot. He immediately sent those images to his editor and urged her to closely examine them. Although she initially doubted it, she called back a few minutes later and let him know he had captured something bigger – an image likely to be seen in history books years from now.

"I got a text and a call from her saying, You won't believe this. We think we have a picture. You have a picture of the bullet behind his head. And I was like, 'Oh my gosh'," Mills said.

Mills then sent the raw image file to ensure all data was included. An FBI forensic expert later verified that the photo indeed showed the bullet.

Another pivotal image from this incident shows the former president raising his fist and yelling at the crowd to "fight." Mills described how, at that moment, Trump appeared defiant, looking at the crowd and yelling. However, just a few frames later, the shock seemed to hit him.

"He has a completely blank look. He looked very pale at the time, and then all the blood was on his ear and then coming out of it around his mouth. And I thought, 'Oh my gosh. I hope it's not as bad as it looks'," said Mills.

Mills' mentor, Ron Edmonds, the late photographer for the Associated Press, was present during the assassination attempt on former President Ronald Reagan. Mills recalled speaking with him many times over their 15 years working together and remembered his advice: Always keep shooting.

"So when it happened, even though the former president's staff were yelling at me to get down, get down, and the Secret Service were yelling at us to get down, I probably didn't do the safest thing, but I ran around the side of the stage to try and capture those moments," said Mills.

Reported the shooter switched & registered Republican just a few days ago thinking it would help him gain closer access to Trump.
...how long ya think before the media starts putting the shooter out there as the poster child for division in the Republican party and referring to him as a disgruntled Nikki Haley supporter...?

There are no warning shots
Yeah, that's the problem.

He did not get the immediacy of the situation to the secret service in real time imho.

I'm picturing him backing down the ladder after he peed himself and going to change in silence.

What actually happened we won't know. The outcome we know.

^^^ I believe .223 is 3,250 feet per second.
M855 (standard issue for the military) is traveling at 3250 FPS out of a 20" barrel (muzzle velocity). Shorter barrel you are going to lose a little velocity and at 140 yards you are going to lose a little Velocity. The projectile was probably traveling at about 3000 FPS when it reached Trump, give or take.

Does anyone have that picture of the ladder behind the junipers where the roof was accessed? Can't remember if I saw it on this thread.

Certainly reads legit. 👍 I guess the 10,000, 40,000, 100,000 FPS shots I've read about are more in an attempt to slow it down enough to watch it's penetration and exit.

Yeah, thats not radio audio. That is audio from the hot mic on the stage. Totally obvious from what is is and is not picking up.

Yeah that's a bit misleading starting off with "Secret Service Audio", I didn't notice that.

We know we'll NEVER hear the actual SS communications from the most transparent administration in history.

On the fuckery part by the NY Times, I started thinking about it and that part could easily be proven through embedded EXIF info on the photogs memory stick.

Every piece of data, including photos, has a cryptographic "hash", which is more easily described as a unique "digital fingerprint." The original photo from the photogs camera would only need to be compared to the photo sent to the NY Times to see if the hashes match. If even a pixel is changed on the digital photo - the hashes would not match.

And it sounds like that's what the "FBI forensic expert" did - he compared the hashes for authenticity.

The FBI takes all types I think. They have desk pilots that never go anywhere, but can do their analytics and such, even the computer people that (used to at least) track pedophiles and the like. I could care less if they have blue hair and tongue piercings, as long as they are damn good at the job they were hired for.

The SS hiring out of shape anybody, is laughable. I believe all military branches have physical requirements that are to be maintained after entry. I feel the SS should be no different. Keep the out of shape ones on comms or such, but those charged with life saving should be ready and capable.

The Latter. Did the shooter transport the latter to the site, proceed to unstrap the latter from his vehicle and walk over to the building rifle in tow? I would think there is a doorbell or street video of the shooter transporting the latter through public streets? What kind of car did the shooter drive to transport the latter? Me thinks he had some assistance and sure would like to know the back story on the latter 🤔

Corey was a GREAT man by all accounts. We went to Freeport High School with his sisters. I kinda knew him but he was 4 years younger than me while I was trying to talk his sisters into dating me, with no luck. Our great bud has a nephew dating Corey's daughter that was beside him when the shooting started. Corey dove on his daughter & wife to protect them.
Please respect the family, they deserve it.
