Trouble free this time hopefully.
Still having generator issues, after being at the dealer twice, this trip I unplugged from shore power to just run the generator for the day, it seemed to run ok, but then tried plugging a floor heater into a outlet and it wouldn’t run it, it would power it on but as soon as I turned the heat on, it would turn off…it’s like the generator wasn’t producing enough power or something?

Similar situation and it ended up being a bad wire splice/conection.

Villiage Camp RV. The food at the Bistro is not good. Only thing decent was loaded fries. Train was loud AF. Not much for kids to do. But the campground was extremely clean and spaces are very large. Looked into buying one of the cabins. Wow I wasn’t born yesterday is all I’m gonna say about that.

We won’t go again mostly because of the lack of stuff to do for the kids.

Keep us updated. My wife really wanted a Reflection bunkhouse but damn$$$

It’s about time they got rid of the stupid black front cap!
The reflection 100 series is new for this year. Got it for about $10k over the price of a bunkhouse travel trailer. And it came with auto level. I was sold. lol

We will be at Newport dunes last weekend if the month.
Got a spot last weekend of July, was looking to get a spot over 4th but F me I forgot how much they charge. Like $6-700 more then our spot at the end of July.

CAMPLAND wanted 1200 next weekend for a 40 with 50 amp
Damn!! We are $850 for 3 nights 4th row and I didn't pay the stupid site guarantee. Will get the AAA discount when we check in which usually about covers the tax.

Just got back from there, awesome place to camp
We go a few times a summer. Deciding on big bear or San Diego early August. My son can’t decide where he wants to go for his birthday lol.

Haven't done SD in a very long time. Big Bear Shores is a favorite of ours for sure, just need to find the time to get up there.

Just tried to book for 4 nights in July. Shake down trip on new RV.
They wanted 1500.
Looking at other options now
It's pricey for sure, but the boys loved it and really convenient being that close to the beach. It will be an annual thing, but not more than that due to the price lol.

That’s where we go and we get a lake front spot. My son loved it last year and has been asking all year to go for his birthday until my dad told him about bears so now he doesn’t want to go anymore 😂

Kind of like the Islander. Complain about the cost, but then pay it :). When a location provides enjoyment for all family members, it worth it.

I really need to STFU. Very fortunate, I can provide these adventures for the family.
No issue paying 6 figures for toys, but complain about nightly spot rentals :)

The GNEnsrud Suncruiser made it to Havasu this week…. I’ll post a thread on our visit to the asylum in RD’s Lounge.

Took it out to the river for trip 1. It was 120°. AC Tripped the breaker in the trailer. It got it down to 82° in the trailer. I think it ran to long. Was only plugged into a 30amp plug so couldn’t run both ac’s

Bought this back in February. Wife is still learning the booking game, we already had some nonRV vacations in the books so planning on using it more next summer and getting stuff booked early. We took it down to Sun Outdoors in Chula Vista few months back, great place for families. Headed to Pechenga next weekend.

Didn’t really want to drive the whole 26 hours in one stint- and it can be difficult to find convenient RV parks to stop at that don’t mind you coming and going at odd overnight hours. I stumbled across this:

I ended up booking a spot in OK that was about 2/3 of the way through the drive. It was easy to get in and out of, had a fenced dog park, and a Carls Jr. to get some grub. Full hookups and well lit. We rolled in around 10pm and were on the road again before sunrise. I will definitely be using them again.

The booking game is a PIA.
My wife scores spots at South Carlsbad by luck IMO.

starting looking into https://arvie.com/ but don‘t want to join before I know campgrounds in SoCal.

They just started that program a couple years ago.
Great option. They are also adding some pull through sites at certain spots for those with a TOAD

Yeah, Arvie looks cool, we are wondering the same thing and if my wife will really use it!!! Hahahaha I think its like $20 a month, so not bad as long as you can use it for the places you want to go.
