Intentions are nice to have, but motivation is what spurs someone to action. Different folk require different motivators, and varying amounts.

You can literally say, "been there, done that"...not many can. Many can be motivated to action, to only quickly retreat when they see or feel the consequences of those actions. Motivated once more to change paths. Your offspring are old enough to act independently, and that can lessen one's apprehension.

For now, most go through their day to day lives. The motivation is not great enough to stop that. To do much more is wasted energy. My thoughts are this: Do what needs doing today, but don't dismiss what may need doing tomorrow. Enjoy today, because tomorrow may bring more difficult challenges...if I'm allowed to meet them.
When I was younger with far more energy than brains, I used to get upset with my dad for performing labor around his home that took an obvious physical toll, knowing he could afford to pay others.
One day he revealed the secret behind this motivation.
"Son, the reason I'm constantly pushing myself to overcome the pain and ensuing fatigue, is because I'm far more afraid that someday I'm going to sit down and simply decide to not get back up."

Then I couldn't see it, now I can see it clearly now, and that's the tool I use to pry my ass out of this chair and do things I'd rather not having to be doing.

I have no problem finding motivation to be angry with those other inhabitants of this planet that desire a far different world than I'm capable of truly understanding. I am extremely biased about my beliefs and how everybody else's is wrong.

But are they ? Who am I to declare that my rights are greater than theirs ?
What I think I'm seeing today more so than in the past, is that the chasm between various beliefs, has become more splintered, and grown deeper and wider.
That the challenge to achieve a balance of even modest satisfaction for all parties has become far more complicated, because the world as a whole, is light years more complicated.

My son, who's rapidly approaching 50 and his wife certainly do, they're huge on the MAGA guy.
Daughter votes right, but is currently embroiled in a divorce and otherwise indulging her passion to find God's beauty in all she beholds.
So yeah, they're good and likewise my grandkids seem so as well.

Then all that's left for you is to spread the word to the masses, but first, you have to see the forest for the trees.

There is only one mission in front of people on the right, exposing RINO's and their corrupt Uni-Party ways.

Those scumbags are attempting to remove the leverage their voters just gave them in November by passing the Omnibus. It's plain as day with their actions during the Trump's presidency and after, they are the true enemy at hand.

I understand people that don't want to get involved, but save the whining (not you) as your country turns to crap.

And that right there is why they're stomping us.

Getting it done? That’s for others. 😬

Some people complain about politicians yet refuse to run for office, raise money for candidates or even just volunteer for a campaign. They think complaining will make a difference.

They talk about civil war yet are not out in the street protesting or firing the first shot. They call for overthrowing a “fraudulently elected” government and “coming after” fellow Americans they view as enemies, yet never actually do a thing.

And some complain about crime and the destruction of the social fabric, yet call for the elimination of law enforcement and call for anarchy from the comfort of their own couch of course.

They certainly wouldn’t want to be soiled with the work, they are the idea guys. Yet others need to “buck the fuck up”?

Nah, but the time is getting closer.

You scumbags are getting to be well known. 👍

No need to get upset because I question your opinion. My opinion of your opinion is just an opinion.

Do you have any problem with drag queens reading books to children or teachers discussing gender with children AND informing them to not tell their parents?

So there's two types of people in this world --- YOU and then everybody else who isn't you is automatically a sexually demented predator just waiting to pounce on unsuspecting children.
Interesting, makes me wonder about you. Because the one person I know of in my life that turned out to be a pedophile, proclaimed for all to hear, how they should all be castrated then shot.
He died of cancer before I got my chance to honor his wishes.

You see, two can play this twisted word game, but that's your game plan, not how I roll.

I'm upset because you chose to twist my words into an extreme exaggeration, resulting in an accusation by association.
That I'm some how OK with pedophiles and now fucking drag queens doing a show and tell at schools.
That sir, is exactly what's fucked up and chicken shit in my elderly book. I do not play these word games and I have zero respect for those who do.

Now if you'd have associated my statement of opinion with those who prefer kayaking, or sail boating, or paddle boarding, as a different life choice other than twisting props at 6,000 rpm behind 2600 horsepower, then I would not be upset in the least.

Or had you assumed I meant people who attend art exhibits, or operas, or Comic Con, hike and hug trees, or any number of civic or nature events other than Gun Shows, I wouldn't be upset either.

Had you chose to discuss either of these "Other" topics outside of, or in addition to what I felt was an obvious choice of assumptions, I wouldn't be upset either.

FYI, pedophilia caused irreversible tragedy in my personal life, so I'm certainly no stranger to it.
And that's all folks.

That’s not what I said T.

What I said was tolerance of other people’s “rights” has brought us that meme. There’s no denying that.

Stop being so sensitive and think before your knee jerk reactions get you where we are.

They are stomping you because those who you most support have no interest in addressing important issues. Their only interest is getting you worked up while you look the other way.

This right here is wisdom many fail to see. I've been to the breaking point, actually past. At 45, I've lost track of the total number of surgeries and injuries. Arthritis and nerve damage, as well as effects from head injuries, make some days horrid.
But...
Tomorrow won't be as bad, or maybe worse, but it won't be the same. Everything you feel, the good and the bad, let's us know we're still alive.

I'll continue doing what's best for my family, and helping those I can, until I can do so no longer. The past 18 years, it hasn't mattered the pain or the cost. I plan to continue just the same. I won't see how it all plays out, but I'll know I did my best.

Well, the other thing dear ole dad used to say when I'd get hurt giving my all for the team or just being young and dumb.
"Some day you're going to really feel that and then remember this conversation" 😖 🥴 True, it does and I do.

He also claimed that Elvis and the Beatles would the forbearers of everything that will be wrong with this country in the future.
Of course me forsaking years of classical training to entertain with a rock band, confirmed his suspicions. Devil Music 👹

Anyone else see that congress gave Volodimir a ceremonial flag? The same triangle folded flag on mantels of widows and parents that still mourn their children...that pisses me off.

Notice how every media outlet here also used the words "he's the Winston Churchill of our time..."
The Fuck He Is!

Other thing to notice, every pic released of our fuktards holding the Ukraine flag is from the rear or an angle...not straight on. The flag was signed by his soldiers as a gift, a thank you for the support. There's a pic taken from his right, and if you look you can see some "odd" lettering near the top of the yellow above his left hand. The copy I saw of the pic is from a site I won't share here...I know most of us are on lists anyway, but this would probably assure it. Don't want RD's to somehow get "flagged". Think I can take a pic of my laptop screen and post it though...try that later.

Ok, here's the aforementioned pic...I'm sure the soldier's name is Steve Smith, and these are just initials written in traditional fashion...

Hmm, I wonder how many people know that Orthodox Christians in Ukraine celebrate Christmas on January 7th?
Oh well, the media tells them what they need to know:(
I've never found an agreement between historians as to the actual date or even year of the birth of the Christ Child. Most historians argue between 4 and 2 BC but it's stated that the bible doesn't stipulate a season. From what I've read, the Roman Catholic Church picked the modern date of Dec 25th to coincide with winter solstice and associated pagan ceremonies.
So pick at date, any date, nobody can prove you right or wrong. 🤷‍♂️

It's a pretty messed up interview. They mention that previously any US sponsored "aid group" wouldn't be allowed to work with groups that conducted themselves in such a way. He goes on to say that due to Russia's actions, Mozart is doing things they feel are justified.

Now, East Ukraine wants to join Russia...they speak Russian, Kiev has banned the speaking of Russian and changed laws effecting only the east. The US throws a shit fit, can't let them leave Ukraine.
Kosovo wants to break away from Serbia...roadblocks, gunfire and the whole "show me your papers" deal.
The EU, NATO and USA are heavily involved already...

Washington has been moving its bioweapons research out of Ukraine, the head of Russia’s Nuclear Biological and Chemical Defense Troops has claimed. This comes after the research laboratories’ existence was exposed under the Trump presidency.

“The Pentagon is actively working to transfer its unfinished research projects to the countries in Central Asia and Eastern Europe,” Igor Kirillov claimed during a briefing over the Christmas weekend.

Any of you ever watch "Charlie Wilson's War"

I did, actually sitting behind Joe Gibbs at the movies.

Anyway, All we are seeing today is history repeating itself, with much higher media coverage than the Russia Afghanistan conflict throughout the 80s.

Could something go wrong and start WW3, absolutely. Same thing could have happened in the 80's, just 95% of the population was oblivious to what was going on.

Fear Mongering at it's finest.

Carry on, I enjoy reading this thread -

And I hope everyone enjoys New Years!

I wonder if that's the reason behind the issues in Serbia, or even Syria?

Well, on this day, 100 years ago, the USSR was founded. What makes this funny, some people are celebrating with fireworks in Kiev, and people are pissed🤣 With a major city being 95% blacked out, the fireworks are obvious, but not who lit them.

Over the past few days, the Ukrainian government has been tearing down statues and memorials for Russian historical figures. These were important people when Ukraine was Russian...seems similar to the ousting of confederate memorials, or the Founding Fathers even...

Yesterday at least one Ukrainian missile was fired into Belarus...They are friends to Russia, but have been pretty much neutral. They've taken a lot of refugees though, a lot of the Ukrainian refugees that went to Poland were bussed to an area at the border with Belarus, and deported.

Today there are protests in Kiev. Many families asking where their sons or husbands are. Soldiers are listed as "missing". Some of the families were called by their wounded kin, told they were being taken to hospitals away from the front. Now, listed as missing, and phones off or dead. The rumors are the soldiers are dead, and the government doesn't have to pay death benefits if listed as "missing".

Poland has announced a draft of reserve military forces. In response, a lot of single men have been flying out of country.

Ukraine struck the same Russian air base with a drone for the third time as well. Busy few days out there.
