Raytheon is replenishing as fast as they can. They’ve built new facilities, and are building more here.
And they’ve hired about 10K employees and still hiring. Sign on bonus is significant, move package too.
War is good for business. My daughter's boy friend is looking at them for possible employment. He's some sort of aerospace engineering major...sharp kid, a bit off camber, but sharp.

In other news: Early this morning two separate Russian Air Force bases were hit. Looked to be single missile strikes each. Both bases were 600-700km inside Russia. At some point, Russia launched new attacks with guided missiles in Central and Western Ukraine in retaliation. Also this morning, Ukraine backed forces started shelling Donetske. Artillery fire as well as ground based missiles. Don't know if that was before Russian retaliation, or before.

Side notes: Kiev has asked citizens to not post war related videos on social media. Some good videos of jets flying low level, and things exploding, popping up here and there on line. It is also getting cold. Rain has turned to snow in some places in Ukraine. This can help or hurt both sides. Frozen ground is easier to traverse with heavy equipment, but cold and miserable.

Make sure he asks about the sign on bonus.

Ive worked on many Raytheon sites.
They are hard to beat as an employer. Even as a DoD contactor they stomped us.

Little late but here we're with a different person in the WH.

"Hillary Clinton Warns That Trump May Start a Nuclear War" - Business insider, Oct 16, 2017

When the real winter sets in the Ukraine, just after Christmas is over, we'll see some serious move by the Russians, thanks for Biden and western allies. Hey Zelenskyy, keep lobbing your Western supplied missiles deep into Russia, see how that'll turn out for you and your people.
Ps; I hate both , Zelenskyy and Putin to put their own into this dire situation.

Already getting colder, and that will change things up, as you say. The past two days there have been major artillery strikes in Doneske. Sure aren't seeing that in English speaking media. Russia hits an apartment building, and cries for war crimes. Today alone, AFU hit a few, and also a youth center, a few department stores and a bunch of other civilian targets. If they're aiming, either they are bastards, or inept...possibly inept bastards.

This morning, a drone type weapon was sent over the border into Russia, but not near as far.

There are some groups following the Ukrainian "volunteers". Some of these guys post to their social media. Guys from all over the world fighting for Ukraine. Some of them aren't bright enough to scrub their previous posts. BLM should be happy some of these guys are going. On the Russian side, it seems half of them are teachers or factory workers. I assume they were the drafted ones. It seems both sides could be heavily armed, but poorly trained.

Update, see, as I said before, he's chipping away slowly, he's not demented yet.;):p

Russia's Putin says Ukraine war could be 'long process,' insists he has not 'gone mad' on nuclear weapons

I watched a video the other day. It was filmed from the back seat of a Mercedes SUV. It was Putin driving, and apparently a contractor involved in the bridge repair in Crimea riding passenger. They were driving over the repaired bridge. I don't know if he's sane, could be a stark raving lunatic...but our president gets lost on a stage, and forgets why he's talking...

So we traded Griner for Victor Bout, the merchant of death, a global arms dealer. What are the odds Viktor has a stash somewhere that will be unleashed on the Ukrainians? Viktor apparently had a knack for getting American weapons out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Great negotiations Joe…..way to go.

Putin vows to launch ‘hundreds’ of warheads if key line crossed: 'There will be nothing left'

Putin: We will wipe out every country that attacks us with nuclear weapons

So, is it worth pushing Ukraine to be a NATO member?

The West is going to play RUSSIAN ROULETTE ,if that's what they want with the continuing backing the Ukraine
Putin alone is not the problem, The US govt is. Once again poking their nose in affairs on the other side of the planet, all whilst the homeland fires burn fiercely. NATO has been encroaching on Russia's borders since The Wall came down, despite agreeing they would not in a signed Treaty, and he has had enough of it.

The Ukraine is a gangsters paradise, just ask their neighbours [ except Poland and Finland ] what they think of them.

"There’s no question that Russia and the U.S. are climbing an escalatory ladder in Ukraine, which may end up in Putin’s use of nuclear weapons," she told Fox News Digital. "Neither side wants to end up in a direct conflict, but they are climbing this ladder unintentionally due to the misunderstanding of each other’s posture."

"Both sides are betting that the other one will blink first," she added.
Lloyd Austin and the rest are blind to see it, never mind blinking.

"Unintentionally misunderstanding"? My ass! Both sides know full well what is happening. Honestly, surprised Russia hasn't thrown blows yet. Biden's masters are pushing hard for all out war, as is Germany and several others.

In the meantime, stateside they are depleting weapons stores, weakening the armed forces and crushing the economy. This is not looking good at all.

Putin is in for a long haul on this, just waiting to see how long the West willing to back Ukraine before getting tired of the whole fiasco. If anyone, it's the Turks who should be getting Crimea back from Russia to start reparations.;)
Some people in this thread were saying the Russians are being slaughtered by Ukraine, are underestimating the Russian mindset.
When Putin came to power, some may remember the big rallying by younger generation backing his future goals, were in full detail daily by the media.
I'm reading comments made on this new nuke threat on Fox, many commenters not reading the context through. Putin said ,he'll retaliate not starting to send nukes first. Non nuke headed missiles won't get retaliated by nuke ones,
Maybe , if Clinton didn't push Ukraine to give up its nuclear arsenal, we wouldn't have this situation today. It seems, US interference fucked this one up, thanks Billy.

The powers that be in the west will back this war to no end. Like a crackhead looking for a crumb. Too much money to be made, too many hands in the till. It will only stop when the money runs out.

All I know is that the media only feeds us what they want us to see and I doubt very much that any of us have clue as to why there's a war and what is actually going on there. Now those are facts you can bank on.

Starting to look like the whole area is having some "issues". Polland is now bussing Ukrainian refugees to the border of Belarus, and kicking them out. Most of those are Russian speaking, and aren't welcome in the west of Ukraine, so they continued through.

Kosovo and Serbia are having issues...Albanians and Serbs? Whole lot of European Muslim types getting in to it.

South: Syria is a cluster fuk of epic proportions. 2 US bases in the south, 2 Russian in the north. Both groups "helping" with ISIS. Armenia and Azerbaijan are clashing on their borders. Isreal is making strikes on both Syrian and Iranian targets.

Let's not forget our side of the planet: Brazil is going off. Last week the military took out some cartel leaders that backed the "elected winner". This week, the state police arrested a tribal leader who backed the "loser"...
And there are also stories coming out that US State department employees may be "persuading" journalists, those not friendly to the "fair and balanced" elections, to leave the country.

Zelenskyy [ a clown in his own making ] think, Ukraine could take Crimea back from Russia. He's pushing his agenda to the naive American public to support it. He's sadly mistaken, no way Putin and the majority of the russian people behind him would let that happen. Russians are still proud people, they can endure suffering long time proven in WWII, they will wait it out to see how long the West is willing to meddle. The Black Sea is the most important geographical location for Russia to maintain control of its naval operations, hence Crimea was the chosen port for its navy for decades.
If the West succeed Ukraine to enter NATO, hell will break loose IMO. One can only push a rat into the corner too far
they will lunge and bite to defend themselves. Zelenskyy and Putin may not use rational thinking like Kennedy and Khrushchev did during the Cuban missile crisis. Deadly consequences could become for the rest of the World.
WWIII shouldn't be decided by three players [ Zelenskyy, Putin and Biden ]
Poland is a NATO member with mutual border with Russia, Putin didn't invade Poland. Ukraine is and was part of Russia, people seem to ignore that fact.
When Russians describe Ukrainian membership in NATO as a mortal threat to their country’s survival, they are being sincere.
November 10 last year, Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed a “strategic partnership” with Ukraine. It not only committed the U.S. to Ukraine’s full integration into NATO but also stressed Ukraine’s claim to Crimea.

" [ 2014 ] , Ukrainian diplomats had negotiated a free trade deal with the European Union that would have cut out Russia. Russia then outbid the EU with its own deal—which included $15 billion in incentives for Ukraine and continued naval basing rights for Russia—and Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich signed it. U.S.-backed protests broke out in Kiev’s main square, the Maidan, and in cities across the country. According to a speech made at the time by a State Department official, the U.S. had by that time spent $5 billion to influence Ukraine’s politics. And, considering that Ukraine then had a lower per capita income than Cuba, Jamaica, or Namibia, $5 billion could buy a lot of influence. An armory was raided, shootings near the Maidan left dozens of protesters dead, Yanukovich fled the country, and the U.S. played the central role in setting up a successor government.

That the U.S. would meddle with Russia’s vital interests this way created problems almost immediately. Like every Ukrainian government since the end of the Cold War,"

Someone on another board brought up an interesting thought.

What if Putin bought US weapons from the Afghans to use in the Ukraine?

The US Govt and Victoria Nuland facilitated a coup in Ukraine in 2014 to overthrow their "Duly Elected (like ours)" government and install one who's strings could be pulled by the US.

Eastern, and largely pro Russian regions of the country said "Fuck this, it's not a valid government" and decided to disavow and rule independently. Kiev would not have this and engaged in a civil war against these regions resulting in tens of thousands of civilian casualties from 2014 to 2022. Finally Russia has enough of this shit on their doorstep, sees an easy opportunity to step in and take the region for themselves, if at the very least indirectly.

And now we are a place where Ukraine is pulling the strings of our government 🤡🤡🤡

Does everyone here know what "Wagner" is? Wagner PMC is a mercenary group fighting for Russia, owned by a Russian oligarch.

Everyone remember Viktor Bout? I know, been a week. We're way too excited to have Griner back to notice...

Viktor Bout has been appointed the director of "The Wagner Center", the home office and tech center of Wagner PMC.

Just like Russia, Russia, Russia or Vax, Vax, Vax, people are just too stupid to see the through the corruption they're supporting and the people they're killing.

It truly is a fascinating time to be alive.

Hmm, odd...yesterday the UN voted again on another Anti-Nazi resolution. About 150 in favor...50 against.
Closer to the start of this war, 2015 or so, Only the US and Ukraine voted against an anti-nazi bill. I'm sure some influence has been peddled since then. You know, for the sake of democracy.
