Last Thursday it was reported close to 300 shells were fire into and around the city of Donetsk. That really isn't big news, a little heavy for the day, but not unheard of.
What seems really bad though, two of the shells happened to land just in front of the "Donbass Palace" hotel. This is a pretty nice hotel, in the city center. It is also the hotel that the non-NATO aligned journalists stay in.
Nobody in the hotel was injured...by those 2 shells, one soldier or policeman (translations differ) was killed, and seven civilians. Of the seven, there was a twelve year old girl and her grandmother. It looked as if they were on a park bench, probably feeling safe in the center of town. There are some pics and vids on the web, not what normal folk need to see.

I visited Stalingrad aka Volgograd to check off a bucket list box. Visit historical WW2 sights.
You fly into then Head out of Moscow and you soon hit grim poverty and a gruesome country.
No toilets, food is shit, grim people all poker-faced full of corruption and no ambition.

Then you roll into and through the Ukraine and it all lightens up.
People are happy, friendly, dress nice and are welcoming and a really upbeat culture.

What Biden & Hunter did there I hope the bastards and all mixed up in it hang through our system like they are doing or trying to do to Trump.

In the meantime fuck Russia and I hope the Ukies beat the living shit outta Russia. The Russians aren't the ten foot tall bully giants they portray themselves to be and have for over the past century.

Russia can't sell their Natural gas because its gas can't be shipped - not liquefied and they don't have the facilities to do it, most their remaining cash assets are confiscated and being diverted to Ukraine, and Russia is selling their oil and coal at half price. The $8000 bonus promised to the below poverty level army recruits isn't being paid, nor any other pay to their soldiers, the Ruble isn't a international flowing currency so it's suffering, Germany has 6 plants that convert Liquefied natural gas to gas that are about to come back on stream with contracts lined up with exporters.

I feel bad, real bad for Russian soldiers but Fuck Russia. They ain't shit, they are the unwiped assholes of the planet.

Well, Russia may not be 10ft tall bullies, but Ukraine isn't exactly a heavyweight. The sad thing is, the American tax payer believes these weapons and money are going to help the Ukraine people. A lot are going right out the back door to Syria...another proxy war they don't speak of.

When were you in Ukraine, and were you ever in the east? Or was that "too Russian" to go to?

It’s easy to “clean up nice” with a steady flow of under the table US dollars.

Did that ever occur to you?

It wasn't all under the table. Biden was quite proud of the billion he was going to withhold if they didn't stop the Hunter investigation.
...and that was when he was just 2nd in command.

I stand corrected.

Russia wasn’t even Russia for 69 years of the “last century”.
His timeline statement makes no sense. 1922 is only a few years after WWI, and almost immediately after the killing of Nicholas and his entire family.
It spans a variety of USSR heads and then Russia.
The truth is that the entire mindset that has been cultivated to shape our view of Russia as a “10’ bully” was of our own fashioning.
We’ve been told for 70 years that Russia is the great threat. They didn’t say it, our own ass hole government told us that.
JFK was “allowed” to puff out his chest over the missile crisis, but the truth is that he was leveraged to remove our missiles in Turkey.
The soviets never really expected to actually place missiles in Cuba. What’s that you say? The history books didn’t teach us that part?
Lol
Here’s the truth. Russia, or any Soviet Country., has never attacked the USA.
They’ve only ever been on our side (or rather us on their side?) in two world wars. Their historic European enemies have also been our historic enemies.
Russia has never been aggressive to us. Japan, however, has attacked us in at least 3 different States. Germany had murderous spies on our soil in WWII.
Virtually every aspect of the Cold War was of our fashioning, with “Russia” responding.
I’ve also been to Russia, but not Ukraine.
Russia is only the big bad boogeyman because we are told it is the big bad boogeyman.

What we have created in Ukraine is a big part of why Putin has had it with this shit going on right on his back porch.

There are 500 Russian troops at the plant, going to set up diesel generators to keep it running. Putin's strategy is to interrupt Kiev getting power from the plant, it's that simple.

"power plant has been under Russian control since March" "several missile strikes over the last several weeks have placed the plant under an increased threat " Are the Russians firing missiles at their own troops? Its the Ukrainians, the same people whining about the power plant getting damaged. what a load of propaganda BS.
That Zelenskyy clown should stop ordering missile strikes on this plant

The Ukrainians and the US would love to blow that plant up (blaming it on Russia) so they could go full tilt on Russia, while at the same time saying "See Nuclear Energy is too dangerous, we need more windmills and solar farms"

Last month, no European "allies" of Ukraine sent arms...
The US sent money and arms...

Going to be cold this winter if Russia turns off the gas in Germany.

I’m thinking this will all be over by then.. there will be a negotiated cease fire. They are playing chicken right now and it’s gonna be a cold winter in Europe if those NATO Allie’s that rely on Russian gas don’t blink soon. I think Russia has all but won.

I really hope so. Biden and his people are still trying to stoke the fire, and people are dying on both sides that don't need to.

I’m kind of past the point of thinking anyone outside truly cares what happens. The only money in it for them is the laundering funnel. Ukraine has 0 economic value, and we have pretty much stopped talking about it.

Unless something drastic happens this has to be over pretty soon. Russia has their foot on Ukraines throat basically. Russia agreed to let Ukraine ship their grain last month. That says it all.

Russian FSB Identifies Alleged Dugina Assassin

teaser image
The Russian Federal Security Service has claimed that the assassination of Dugina was committed by a covert operative of Ukraine...

MON AUG 22, AT 12:45 PM

Pretty gnarly right now.
Russia releases video of suspected Moscow car bomber
Footage shows the Ukrainian citizen entering the country and leaving it after assassinating Darya

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has made public a video of Ukrainian national Natalya Vovk, identified as the prime suspect in Saturday’s car bombing that killed journalist Darya Dugina in Moscow. The footage published Monday shows Vovk and her teenage daughter entering Russia, inside the building where Dugina lived, and leaving the country in haste.
Vovk, 43, was named by the FSB on Monday as the prime suspect in the assassination of Dugina. The Ukrainian national arrived in Russia on July 23, using Donetsk People’s Republic license plates to avoid scrutiny. While in Moscow, she swapped the plates on her Mini Cooper to those of Kazakhstan, a friendly former Soviet republic. On Sunday, after the bombing, Vovk drove to Estonia with Ukrainian plates, the FSB said.
Photos of the different license plates were included as part of the video presentation.
The authorities also said Vovk may have used her teenage daughter as cover to move around Russia more easily. She rented an apartment in the same building where Dugina lived, and was captured on the doorway camera.
A photo ID of Vovk in the uniform of Ukraine’s National Guard was published in April on the Russian internet, as part of a dox of neo-Nazi Azov regiment members. It lists her surname as Shaban – the surname her daughter used when entering Russia, according to the FSB. Ukraine previously claimed it was not involved in the assassination.
Dugina, 29, was killed on Saturday evening after attending a conservative family festival near Moscow with her father, philosopher Aleksandr Dugin. Vovk allegedly planted an improvised explosive device under the Toyota SUV that belonged to Dugin, who may have been her intended target.

I’m thinking Vlad and Aleksandr are pretty pissed right about now.

There’s going to be endless money laundering opportunities for the corrupt uni-party. 👎
Oh shit, can’t this wait until after my vacation. -Joe

News on the radio today claimed Russia attacked a civilian train station, as well as a shopping center. They didn't say where the train station was, or maybe I missed it. The shopping center that was attacked was in Donetsk though...

Sounds horrible, and no one should attack civilian targets...
Donetsk is a larger city in the east of Ukraine. It's pretty much ground zero, where this shit show started in 2014.

Donetsk has also been under control of the DPR and Russia for over a month now...
Makes you wonder why they'd fire missiles there 😏

Yes, and lawmakers here are trying to get Biden to pressure Russia into handing over a nuke plant they have control over in Ukraine...
Talk about a good way to encourage the Russians to 'burn a bridge' behind them as they leave.
Comedic tragedy doesn't get any better that this.
Almost as good as Germany asking Canada for shiploads of LNG because they need it yesterday. We offer liquid H to help build their green economy.

What confuses me, Ukraine forces have been shelling the plant and the area because they don't want Russia to have it, the news out here is touting the potential ecological disaster of the Russians damaging it, and then we want to ask them to hand it over?

The same stations will run all three stories as well!

these stories are not related, are they? maybe creating an out?

I believe Poroshenko was the puppet Obama had placed after funding the revolution. Zelensky was the successor, and he was backed heavily by some oligarch (Burisma guy). No matter the puppet, the same people pulling the strings.

There we go. That’s what we were all waiting for. Another couple months this will be over, Europe won’t freeze this winter and Russia will allow a shell of the former Ukraine exist.

Russia already won. Everyone else just needs time to spin this as a victory for themselves.

And yet our government is still sending billions. The playing field will change, but not the fleecing. It hardly made the news that soldiers, Americans, were injured in a drone strike on base in Syria.

Remember, day one of the fuktard in chief, he rolled tanks into Syria. We have two bases there. We know a lot of weaponry headed to Ukraine is not making it to the field. Some is sold immediately, some is "forwarded"...IE, the Ukrainian transport going down in Greece.

Guess who has a massive presence in Syria? That's right, Russia. I've done some stupid things, but kicking a bear is not on that list.

Yepp, the “Big Guy” needs his 10% to keep funding all their fraud and paying people off.
