This whole thing is absolutely unreal. One a Day made a post earlier in the thread and said he woke up with that pit in his stomach and he hadn't felt like that since 9/11. That is absolutely spot on, and the same way I went to bed and woke up this morning. The same way others feel, I'm glued to the TV and news sites right now looking for answers, and can't even think about work right now.

Hearing that phone call between Sadam and an RDP member last night was one of the most surreal things I have ever heard in my life. He was saying his partner took two to the abdomen, friends wife shot in the hand, and someone else in the ankle. He was in a clear state of shock, and was just doing what they could to get away from the scene. Unbelievable this is happening in America today. :(

My heart goes out to those who have lost friends, and those who's lives will be changed forever.

Read all of the pages and didn't see this posted. Not that it really matters but someone posted this online. However, it seems off but what do I know.

Don't quote me on it, but I believe the lower floors will have window that will open, but they won't open enough to have someone jump out of them.

That looks like pretty solid evidence of a possible second shooter though.

He is referring to AnitFA and the like being the enemies. AntiFA declared civil war against republicans and police. Most country fans are more right leaning and many police and military are as well.

I do not agree there needs to be more killing in either side. However, I do agree that AntiFA should be classified a terrorist organization and treated as such.

Aha I see now. My apologies then. Today has not been a good day.

I don't think they open at all at Mandalay Bay due to the extensive use of glass. In other hotels that is the case. But with most all buildings with very heavy glass exterior use, they rarely open.

In the wake of this horrific mass killing you can help by simply donating blood. I urge you to contact your local Red Cross ( https://www.redcross.org/) to help save a life.

There is also a blood drive taking place this coming Thursday at The San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland from 7am to 7pm. There located at 999 San Bernardino Rd, Upland, CA. (909) 985-2811
Here is another organization "Life Stream" that will also take your blood donations. https://giftoflife.lstream.org/donor/schedules/zip or call 1-800-879-4484

You motivated me to learn how to include multiple quotes. Thanks. How are Police and Republicans enemies of the Republic? How are a bunch of people with diverse backrounds at a country music festival enemies of the Republic? What Republic is this that you speak of?

How in the hell you could interpret what I said in this way is beyond me. Leftists, marxists, socialists, commies, antifa (fascists) and their enablers (demoncrat voters) are the biggest enemies THIS REPUBLIC have ever faced.

I read that the 4th floor turned out to be a strobe light in the room that had been going long before the shooting started. "Private Party" kind of thing...

Just found out there were another 2 groups of friends there and somehow none of them got injured either. With how many friends and family we had there, I just keep waiting for them to release a name of a victim and it be someone I know. I've never experienced something like this before. I can't even fathom how those that were there are doing or feeling or if it has even sunk in yet for them.

At the level of casualties and injuries now, 1 in every 39 people attending was injured or killed.

Life doesn't even feel real right now, I don't have words to describe what's it's like here right now... one my best friends is president of IHeart media, we were together last night at our boats in the marina, the calls start coming in about 11, I had friends running from the venue stranded, friends that witnessed people getting shot, friends being shot, one of my friends sons jumped on his girlfriend and took a bullet, friends with bloody cars this morning from taking people to hospitals, one of my best friends lost his nephew, I didn't sleep all night, I don't know what to do to help, another one of my best friends son is missing he was shot and taken to a hospital and we cannot find him today. I've made calls to every medical person I know. An anesthesiologist friend of mine told me this "It is mass chaos. Blood everywhere. Trying to take care of the wounded rather than identify. This is on a monumental level. And hard to keep up." The hospitals are telling us it will be a while before they can identify everyone they have

That 4th floor thing was a strobe in someone's room. I found out that brother and SIL are ok. Brother said he noticed that strobe thing around the 4th floor an hour before shooting started.

Think it was a decoy or just random? Several videos focused on it.

I just finally got on social media, came on here to check if anyone else was effected by this. My parents and their best friends were in the crowd last night, thank god they are alive and well. How they came out unscratched is beyond what I can comprehend at this moment. They just left my house in Vista after making the longest drive home. So happy to see them in person, now I know they are really safe. To all of you that lost someone and were effected, I am so sorry for your loss and pain.

To everyone that is fighting back and forth in this thread I say start a new thread and move that there. This thread is to intermingled with the loss/ injury of loved ones.

Through this site FB and GD.com 7 deceased friends of friends . Have not even started tracking how many shot that are linked. Have not seen any numbers on how many of the 515 injured were shot.

Another reason why I thought it was off. If the window was broken, we would've seen it by now. I've stayed there but it has been many, many years. From what I recall, they do not open but I could be wrong.

Report from Infowars says the cops recovered a hammer in the room, used to break the windows.

For all the people there and for everyone here that knew people there, my thoughts with all family and friends during this horrible time.

What the fuck has society come to, jus don't seem to be safe anywhere u go anymore. Innocent peoples life effect forever.

I woke up this morning to 45 group text messages. One of my best friends took some shrapnel to the neck and shoulder area from a bullet impacting the concrete next to him. He told me he was there with his wife thinking that was the end of it. One foot in either direction and it would have been a very different outcome.

I am thanking god that he and his wife are alive this day. I am sure that this is going to take a toll on them for the rest of their lives and I can't imagine what it is like to literally run for your life in that type of situation.

Here you go

A ex metro and current Henderson city councilman put on Facebook

A former metro cop and city councilperson put this on FB talking about police and fire responders: I have reviewed many of the photos from last night. So far, I haven't seen any depicting the critics running toward the AUTOMATIC gunfire. I'll update if I happen to see one. I stand in awe of these young men and women who put themselves in harms way for their community. You are all awesome. So glad to see you chose not to take a knee!! Heroes, every one of you!!

If someone can copy and past this to the Vegas shooting thread I'd appreciate it. Not a fast on the keyboard. Help moderators or that forensic guy!

REAL FUCKING HEROES!!!

This is crazy. Almost everyone I know that I talked to today has been touched one way or the other with this tragedy. Some know people that were shot, some know people that were just there, and some know first responders. It's insane what a close knit part of society that we belong to. Prayers to everyone involved.:(

Just confirmed this tragedy hit my daughters high school. 1 young male passed. 1 young female wounded with shot in the back, but expected to recover.
Speculation that another high school coach near here is also one of the victims that has passed.

Hockey coach?

One of our really good friends wife and daughter were at the concert, they got help jumping over a fence to safe area and were able to escape unharmed. People were pilling into their car to get to a safer spot.

She says words can't describe the panic, the shock, her getting away with her daughter. She said it was just unbelievable.

My thoughts go out to all that lost a loved one, know of someone injured or killed. Deeply saddened. As everyone else, I'm truly in shock. This hit home to Californians since many travel to Vegas frequently.

South Bay?

Only reason I ask is because my nephew was working in the casino next door.

Went to bed before this broke last night, didn't have the TV on so found out with the Morning News.

My heart goes out to all of you who have lost loved ones in this, or who have people in the hospital due to this tragedy.
You are going to be running on adrenaline for the next few days, and you'll need to do some things that must be done. Once that is over I encourage you to get some rest, take some time to put this together in a way that you can do your best with it. If you struggle with that there is no shame in seeking help...remember that, please.

If you were there or have a loved one who was, and was or wasn't wounded be careful and take care. People who go through this kind of stuff have a long road ahead to recovery, such as it is. I was involved in the biggest mass casualty event in the history of this county, (lone gunman) and recovery can sometimes take a lifetime.

So, take the time.

This is going to take MONTHS to sort out and write the report. The investigation will be a long tedious thing, and rumors will fly and be debunked, people will try to leverage it for their own advantage, and it will be ugly. If you've learned nothing else from our recent experiences with big events, you know that first reports are almost always wrong, and we saw that today. I think with the media being what it is we need to take everything that doesn't come right from the mouths of the cops and other officials as suspect, at best, until proven otherwise.

Once the case is closed the First Responder community will analyze this and reanalyze it until the cows come home and then they will look at changes to training, although on first view I believe this was one of the finest responses I have ever seen in a mass casualty situation.

I, for one, will be praying tonight.
Praying for those lost.
Praying for those who were wounded.
Praying for those who now have seen the un-seeable, seen the face of evil.
It changes you.
It changed me.

I suspect the venue will be ultimately razed, and some sort of memorial created.

Also...to those who want to play the politic game with this, feel free to do so over in the P&G section. It blows me away to see a post where a member is reporting the loss of a loved one or injury to same, or telling their won story of living a nightmare, and then see a post about someone being a jerk.

My family and I send our condolences to you and others here who have lost friends and loved ones.

I'm sure heroic stories will begin to be told in the coming days but Brennan is why I'm so proud to be an American and fortunate to call the United States home. He sacrificed his life so others could have theirs. There is no greater honor when faced with impossible odds such as last night. It's just devastating it had to happen in this way.

RIP Brennan. You're a hero and a bright light amongst a dark time.

That is exactly what I've been struck with as well. When I was watching the news last night the Fox reporter was talking to everybody that was walking out and every single one of them had other people's blood on them and had stories of helping others while the shots were ringing out. People like Brennan make me quiet proud to be an American!
