you got to wonder about the moral grounds of some people when they think its OK to politicize the intelligence agencies in order to change the outcome of an election and to continue to use those agencies after the election to overthrow an elected President, But those same people think its not OK to release a little memo that mentions it.
What do you expect. The only reason the russians got involved (according to the dems they were at least) was to expose the crooked Ness of the dnc. Now if you paid attention, nowhere did they deny any of the stuff found in the emails and other things found out. They just started screaming russian collusion.

Distractions.

What Wray is saying is that the FBI believes it should be able to perform any type of surveillance they wish, on whomever they wish, without any type of oversight.

The second part of his statement says we should just "have faith" in their "Shadowy monolith exempt from any consequences" as they used research paid for by the Clinton campaign to obtain a FISA warrant to investigate a presidential candidate.

They presented the dossier to the FISA court claiming it was information produced by a US intelligence source when it was in fact unverified low level gossip paid for by the opposition party.

The FBI made other representations about the information that were false, and if the court had been made aware of its true source it would not have been accepted as evidence to issue a warrant.

“Making this memo public will almost certainly impede our ability to conduct clandestine activities operating outside any legal or judicial system on an international scale,” said Wray, noting that it was essential that mutual trust exist between the American people and the vast, mysterious cabal given free rein to use any tactics necessary to conduct surveillance on U.S. citizens or subvert religious and political groups.

“If we take away the people’s faith in this shadowy monolith exempt from any consequences, all that’s left is an extensive network of rogue, un-elected intelligence officers carrying out extrajudicial missions for a variety of subjective, and occasionally personal, reasons.”

So which is it Libs and Dems?

Hysteria all week long “This memo cannot be released to the American people! It will undermine our ability to keep America safe! It will expose agents and endanger them and their family! It will...It will...”

Yesterday and today “This memo has nothing of importance or consequence in it. Only cherry picked statements.”

To recap, high level DOJ and FBI knew about false and misleading evidence, yet lied to FISA court multiple times in order to frame a presidential candidate all the while trying to keep their guilty candidate out of jail.

Yep, total nothing burger.

Even one of your mouth breathing, knuckle dragging twins can make sense of this collusion.

LOL, maybe you are getting funny again.

playing devils advocate and trying to stay objective is all I'm doing...No agenda here so flame away if you must, I'm just having an open conversation with the lot of you (right and left). This ordeal is so large and has so many fractures and moving pieces it's difficult to weed through the bullshit, presumptions and agendas. Difficult to put into bullet points or blurbs. I do think both sides of the isle have valid points to be quite frank. But I'd like to make a few comments / questions. Please don't take offense...Dialog only is my intent.

I copied this from another post.
If you put all the pieces together here's what you get. The DNC rigs the Democratic Primary Election against Bernie Sanders so Hilliary can win the nomination.
Can you really say "rigged"? They pushed Sanders out because he would of absolutely lost to Trump since he didn't have the following and was going to fracture the dems. This is pretty common in politics. Matter of fact, Paul Ryan nearly did the same thing when he announced the Republican party would not support Trump after the pussy comments came out....Weasel move by Paul Ryan if you ask me.

Obama's administration starts to request surveillance on Trump, his family, his transition team, and anyone associated with him.
Was this actually confirmed? Obviously Carter Page was surveiled but if you read the dates, it was actually after he left the Trump campaign and before (back in 2013) because he was actually being vetted by suspected Russian spies.

Donna Brazil gives Hilliary the questions to a debate.
Think this has been confirmed. I don't think it's any mystery that the liberal news media stopped at nothing to get Hillary into the white house.

The DNC pays Christopher Steele to come up with a smear dossier about Trump.
First, I wouldn't use the word "smear". I'd use the word "dirt" because I think the Dems actually think / thought that Trump colluded with Russia and I think they thought this investigation by Steele would for sure bring up dirt. Is this illegal? No. Is it immoral? depends on who you ask. But to take it a step further, what is immoral and potentially criminal (in the future when they used the info in part to gain access to surveil page) is, when they realized Steele wasn't exactly all that reliable and most of the info (supposdily) was conjecture and rumors, they should have NOT used it in FISA court. However, I do believe there was other info in the FISA petition, including Page's activity and actions and association to true suspected Russian Spies and previous surveillance in 2013 for same reasons, to allow surveillance of him once again. Though in the big picture, I think Page is just a dude that really digs Russia and see's huge potential to make a LOT of money there. Problem is, most anyone connected with money there is either the Govt and / or Russian Mob. So it's definitely tricky.

The mainstream media releases a taped conversation about Trump talking about grabbing women parts.
Meh...Of course they did. The Republicans would of released any info they had on Hillary as well. Politics.

After all this Trump still wins the General Election. Obama orders an investigation into Russia meddling in our elections. Obama changes Executive Order 12333 to allow more agencies to have access to surveillance data. The Democratic Party comes up with a scandal that Trump Colluded with Russia to win the election with no evidence or proof. This wild claim is backed up by the mainstream media. Obama hold overs start unmasking Trump's transition team and staff members then release the classified information to the mainstream media.
Now THIS, I see a big problem with. Although, we are not privy to any details of the investigation, we will just have to see what the investigation unveils. I agree though, where these alligations that he colluded with Russia stem from? Besides made up hysterics of the DNC in their disbelief Trump won. I personally think that Trump wants to repair our relationship with Russia. Whether it's for oil, peace or whatever else. I don't think he's sweating this investigation one bit because nothing will be found. Just my feeling. I hope I'm right because it would be devastating for our Country as a whole if the allegations are founded.

Why? Because the DNC and the Obama administration colluded with the intelligence community to thwart Trump's campaign efforts to get him elected president. All this Russia collusion is an attempt to cover up the fact that the Obama administration, the intelligence community, the DNC, along with the mainstream media used our nations surveillance as a political tool to try to get Hilliary elected President. This makes Watergate look like a kindergarten play. Let that sink in.......
We'll see...I hope. But this memo that was just released is completely unrelated to this. It shows the FISA court was mislead in part by the FBI. again, I believe the facts show there was actually more info that would have still allotted a FISA approval of surveillance on Page...Trump and his family? Not so much, but that hasn't been confirmed.

Now, regarding the memo, on the one hand (Republicans) they demand the release of the memo because there's potentially illegal surveillance and subsequently political agendas at play. On the other hand (Democrats) they feel it's not in the interest of justice to release the memo because it's an active on-going investigation.

I say this... I agree with the Democrats that information involving active investigations and subjects of those investigation should be kept confidential with the agents and agencies completing those investigations. Patience is the name of the game.

Before you all hang me from the nearest tree - There is a thing called "fruits of the poisonous tree" and any evidence collected through false means or misrepresentations or illegal searches and seizures are ill gotten and forfeited. So, even though there was other information that I personally believe would allow a fisa court to approve the surveillance of Page, a large portion of the approval was based on information that was not cohoberated, confirmed or sourced making it basically rumors. Can't get a warrant based on he said she said. Not even at the most basic level of the courts. And let's just be honest, it was gotten for political bias and unreliable reasons and that alone should eliminate the info from being included or at a VERY MINIMUM a follow up investigation to confirm the allegations by the FBI should have been done. But there in-lies the other problem, they knew it was bs and used it anyway. That, in no bueno.

In the end, both medias and parties do a lot of "the sky is falling" type shit that really convolute everything. It's bad, you don't need to read into it. it's bad enough.

This shit makes watergate look like a kids birthday party.

They went to FISA for a sweeping warrant and were denied, they went back again with a dossier they knew to be unverified and uncorroborated, overly salacious, and most likely false due to that combination, along with the fact that it was sourced and purchased by the opposition party. Once the warrant was in place they illegally unmasked dozens upon dozens of people in the campaign and funneled that information back to Clinton. Then as the warrant was about to expire they re-upped it by using the dossier along with a Yahoo News story which was sourced by the author of the Dossier as well, as PC to continue, hiding all of these facts from the FISA judge...

They basically weaponized the FBI/DOJ/Intel communities against their political opposition, completely suberverting the fundamentals of democracy and the republic. Then they have the audacity to call Trump an authoritarian.

This is full blown police state, banana republic type of politics.

Once again the Dems have shown that their only tactic is projection. They are cheating the election, colluding, interfering, they accuse the opposition of doing it.

did we forget about them going after Tea Party groups ...

they settled a lawsuit paying out money admitting wrong doing...
Trump DOJ settles lawsuits over Tea Party targeting by Obama IRS ...

“The IRS admits that its treatment of Plaintiffs during the tax-exempt determination process, including screening their applications based on their names or policy positions, subjecting those applications to heightened scrutiny and inordinate delays, and demanding some Plaintiffs’ information that TIGTA determined was unnecessary to the agency’s determination of their tax-exempt status, was wrong,” the IRS said in court documents. “For such treatment, the IRS expresses its sincere apology.”

Where did this info come from? Specifically that the first warrant request was absent of the dossier? Don't get hung up on the warrant request being refused at first or second time. Warrants are REGULARLY kicked back a few times to change, update, add, etc info. That's no smoking gun, not even relevant really. Unless what you're alluding (that they pushed through a warrant request and when they could not get it they threw in the Dossier)...THAT RIGHT THERE is the story. If that happened...Holy shit. But I've never heard that specific narrative being confirmed. Only conjecture.

Yes that is exactly what happened. They were denied at FISA in June 2016, and came back with a more narrow warrant and the dossier.

BTW FISA has like a 99.6% warrant approval, it's basically a rubber stamp. So to get denied at all is pretty rare. Watch more and more keep coming out.

One thing Trump is good at doing is controlling the pace of a story, he always milks it as long as possible to keep the suspense and info building, and the pundits backing themselves into corners and discrediting themselves while they wait on bated breath.

Trump has known about this since literally the day after the election, and it's been going on 15 months from then now.

Look at this timeline:

November 17, 2016: Just days after the election Admiral Michael Rogers, director of the NSA made a surprise visit to President Elect Trump at Trump tower, does not tell Obama.
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...s-floated-possible-trump-cabinet-pick-n686246
https://www.npr.org/2016/11/22/502980006/reports-suggest-nsa-director-mike-rogers-is-on-his-way-out

November 18, 2016: The VERY NEXT DAY Trump moves all campaign meetings and operations out of Trump Tower and into one of his Country Clubs in NJ.
http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2016/11/trump_bringing_transition_meetings_to_nj_report_sa.html

November 19, 2016: The day after that the Washington Post reports that the Obama admin tries to terminate Rogers' position at the NSA
https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...030f822fc35_story.html?utm_term=.c976d2f000e9

Do you think any of that is just coincidence?

As Director of the NSA Rogers had all of the intel on the surveillance and warned Trump what was going on.

Judicial Watch has just sued under FOIA to get any and all FISA applications issued surrounding Trump and his campaign. There is precident here, Obama's admin has already been caught twice in the past doing this and the FISA apps were released, One was a Fox News Reporter who himself and his family members were targets of the warrant, the other was several members of the Associated Press targeted.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...be8095fe767_story.html?utm_term=.2d0fa2ba8680

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/may/20/fox-news-reporter-targeted-us-government

I would not be surprised if we get the actual FISA apps eventually.

Convienently forgotten issues of the #scandalfree president.

As Director of the NSA Rogers had all of the intel on the surveillance and warned Trump what was going on.

oh, I agree Trump thought he was being surveiled, he even stated as much (which, subsequently I think is fucking hilarious because EVERYONE thought he was crazy to think he was under surveillance...turns out, not so much). Even if it was solely based on the knowledge that Page was being surveiled and even though he was no longer part of the "trump team" any cautious person would assume the surveillance was broader.

Regarding the FISA issue, obviously there were times when surveillance was requested and approved to surveil Page, he was under watch back in 2013 before the dossier was even created, so it's easy to say, applications were denied prior to the dossier. My question is, in July 2016 when they applied to surveil Page and associates (which by definition could be Trump even though Trump never met Page or had any interaction with him). Was that application denied and then they came back the next day and were like, "oh wait, there this also!" ?

I don't like or agree that the process is a "rubber stamp". Yea, super high approval rate but I guarantee (actually there's been prior FBI agents that have confirmed such) that shit gets kicked back constantly and tweaked to ensure it flies. This is not uncommon. It's the same process for getting electronic surveillance warrants here in California. The topic and process is very much highly monitored.

And you gotta admit, the back and forth from the Dems and the Republicans on this topic is amusing. It was the Dems that hated the process in the past and the Republicans that LOVED and supported it. Dems stating the process was flawed and not strict enough and now it's vice versa. That shits funny. Always go with the opinion that supports your agenda in politics. And both sides are guilty of that specifically in this case.

I get it, I do, there's a lot going on here and you ( like many people) would rather just go with the news blurb or bullet point that fit your agenda with out having confirmed what people are shoving down your throat (no pun intended). Or maybe its just that you're so mentally unbalanced that you just like to be a keyboard cowboy and aim to disrupt things while talking shit to people from behind the comfort of your computer. Regardless, I understand having an intellectual discussion or debate scares you and you would rather resort to childish diatribe that defers the topic at hand. It's cool man. The deflection of your own behavior though is very amusing to me and of course, not surprising. Carry on.

Man CTG, I have developed a ton of respect for Stainmaker over the last week. How he has been able to keep your Minions in check is outstanding. I didn't realize how big of a cummunity you have built of brainwashed soldiers. You, Reegie & 5Hundy have really been developing your D league. The shit you've pumped in them and the way they spit out your propaganda is unreal! I gotta give props to Nganga, after that implosion your team had last summer, he cast his guiding light down across your lost souls and spawned your newest Clingons. You got SpankTank ripping off questions only a 2 year old would say, 55 is a stuttering Diceman knockoff, Jetson can't seem to find his boy Elroy, and RoaylPoo has his hips presenting sky high waiting for a Real Fab 5er to sink it on him. Can't wait for the days of ole Sweeps & Stainmaker!:(

You’re just so neat when you’re all alone and your minions have left you to fend for yourself.

<——- slow clapping at your Liberal courage.
Would you mind taking Tankersly as your Valentine this year? You would be doing me a huge favor, I can't shake him off my Sac, kids locked on tight! I have tapped his ass so bad he will be very submissive to you. I'll owe you Bigly if you take one for the team buddy?
Please:(

You asking for that hug? ;)

Seriously bro, step away from the P&G section for a bit. Take a breather, it's going to be ok. As you said, this is a boating website. Go take your boat out and enjoy the world...I mean, I suppose that's why you're here, because you actually have a boat and are interested in boating, even though all you ever do is post childish crap here like you're being paid for it.

Tank is a soldier. He’s got enough hair on his ass to weave two indian blankets, has buckets for balls, and you want me to call him boy? You’re out of your gawd damn mind Saucey.

Happy Valentines Day you adorable creature.

I will start this with a little background - I grew up in Ca. I have several gay friends, our gay friend lived with us for 5 years. We have our drag queen friends from Key West stay with us every time they're out here.

RDP delivers!
