Finally pulled the trigger on an off road toy. Picked this up Monday, been cleaning a little bit every night. Can’t wait to take it out.

Do you have any pics of the rear bench?

I’m 6’6” myself and really looking at getting out of my RZR in exchange for an X3 Max, but need a bench in the back for my kiddos.

I was shocked at the price points for the 2018 x3’s. X3 max 172hp for 23.9. When they came out weren’t they up over 30 just to get in the door?
Mine was 33500.00 added 2 helmets and wip ( out door )bought sand tires/ wheels 1300$

Yep
Oh man imma need a divorce lawyer now. Always shy’d away from even looking at a Max because I was sure the driveshaft tunnel was WAY too high to run a bench, but that’s great!!
Yeah its awesome. All three girls can ride in back if needed.

Never posted a pic of my offroad toy upgrade from the Rhino.

2016 RZR 1000 XP4. I got it all dialed in a couple months ago with the new suspension package, seating for 5, radio and GPS. We have been having a ton of fun with this thing!

It’s really comfortable for a 6’ 300 lb guy....lol. When I was shopping for sxs’ they all seemed really tight sitting in cockpit. When I sat in the General I was sold. Just had to add my personal touch to it.

very functional I think... curious, as I have not looked at the differences between the general and the ranger. Was there a deciding factor in your choice?
The General had more suspension travel and came stock with Fox 2.0 shocks. It has a bit more sport feel than utility

Yeah bud, they are pretty sick rides. But I am not sure yet if it is the direction I am heading. I am down shifting trying to think of functionality for what I really use it for the most (run some havasu trails, go down to lake, maybe be able to tow jet skis)(could be done with glamis for a bit). The Polaris General is being considered in the back of my mind.

Actually Cam, I think that would be bad ass!! As you've seen, there are a few in this thread with some mods, and it would definitely add some functionality being able to use it for move your jet skis, and don't think it wouldn't work at Glamis. The Generals do handle!

I’ve seriously considered going this direction, even had our X3 Max up for sale for a couple weeks. Stupid Craigslist people had me change my mind at least for now.

Most of my family and friends ride Rangers for mountain trails, hunting, etc. which is what we do the most as well. The rangers are way more functional but not as comfortable of a ride, as fast, etc. The General seems to be a reasonable compromise in the middle and with some simple upgrades can look bad ass!

I say do it and report back...I really need a first hand report before I do it myself.

Yamaha makes a 2 and 4 seat Wolverine, you might check it out as another option. I haven't seen one in person, but it seems like a good machine.

To many 4 wheelers. Making progress on mine. Just need the stator and wire it up. Will be a Ocotillo this weekend. The Honda headlight looks big in the picture but fits the bike well in person.

Sure, still a work in progress though... Some things I am already going to change... Working on the LS this weekend, just going to make it a runner for now then probably build another one a little more stout...
