Apparently no one cares what the RZRs start at only what you can option them to so for this comparison both cars are the most expensive model at 42k lol. When you add 10% tax then I guess you are at 46k. But not everyone wants the most expensive model, you can be OTD in either car for under 40k. Also you very well can haggle on a new SXS my best bud bought a Pro XP and he was OTD under MSRP. I also have a buddy who paid 5k over MSRP (idiot) for a standard Turbo doesn’t mean everyone is that desperate, the deals are out there you just need to look.

Did you read what I said... Speed starts at a much cheaper price, and I said the Premium model was $42k in my first post on price here. No you will not be out the door for MSRP in even a base Pro R in this purchasing climate. Like I said, it will be over $40k. It is new and in high demand.

No one wants a Pro XP. we aren’t talking about Pro XPs, this thread is not about Pro XPs. I can go get an F150 for under MSRP too, but it isn’t a Raptor, and you aren’t getting a Raptor for under MSRP.

How for does your purchase climate go? Only in CA. AZ, and NV? Or can we go past those states?

He bought it before thanksgiving so at the time the new PRO models weren't released.

We can argue all day about how expensive these cars will be when they are released but until then we only have previous experience to go on and previous experience says you can haggle on a RZR…

Of course he got a deal on existing stock after thanksgiving, after the announcement of the new car dropped and the one on the dealer floor is obsolete.

It’s a new top line car in limited quantities. There aren’t going to be “deals” on Pro Rs or Turbo Rs this season. And with the supply chain issues not looking a whole lot better probably not towards the end of the year either, although there will be better supply but also more demand as it will be the beginning of the season. So we will see in 8-9 months.

Go haggle all you want. You are still paying setup fees, doc fees and whatever else. You aren’t getting one under $40k OTD right now. There are too many buyers out there and too few cars. 2018 and 2019 SXS pricing is meaningless today.

You can get a base Speed for under $36k OTD, cheaper than the MSRP of the base Pro R. As of now niether are available for delivery anyway.

Like I said he bought it before thanksgiving before the PROs were released. Also if you join any RZR forums you will find they are a lot cheaper when you get out of the 300 mile range of Glamis. Just like trucks and vets are expensive in SoCal doesn’t mean they are everywhere.

hearing these prices being thrown around makes me feel like I will be sticking with our 16’ rzr for longer then I was hoping haha. Really excited for the new models coming out and how the SXS market is changing to the demands of consumers.

Will look forward to your guys real world experience on these cars once you test them out. If good experiences then it will make it easier to pry the money out my hands and dive into one myself. Until then, I’ll keep pampering the current SxS I own.

Nope. A top line Pro R with no options is $45K, before assembly, and fees. If you get the Premium, that is like $42K, you'll be close to $50K out the door, and the car will still need at minimum $5K in spares, radios, & lights.

The solution is to not buy a Pro R. Buy a cheaper model like the Turbo R.
two totally different cars....check the specs

That is $5K you just spent.. Spare tire, spare tire mount, lights, radios, whips, fire extinguisher, tools, storage, door bags, windshield.

If you don't buy wheels you are stuck buying a Polaris OEM wheel :) I'm sure the stock wheels are gonna suck

We will see if it is any "better". It is gonna just be a Ford Vs. Chevy Vs Dodge conversation at the end of the day. They won't race the Pro R because there is no class to race it in, not because it is any better. The Turbo R is the same suspension and platform and that will be raced. I feel like that is the better all around car personally. It is lighter, shorter wheelbase, and you can make really good power with light mods to that engine. The Pro R is gonna make 220 HP unless you spend $10K on forced induction, or an NA engine build. It is a longer and heavier car.
u missed the "required" part

If you can get a speed car for under $36k OTD I’ll take 2, hell I’ll even pay $2k extra, so provide 2 of them tomorrow for $38k and I’ll take them…..ohhhhhhh wait sorry I forgot

Been looking at these and what I have found is a 4 seater non Turbo premium is about $31k before tax, docs and registration. Guy at Temecula Motorsports said they last maybe a couple days, if lucky, so any discounts are out of the question.........in fact, they mark them up about $3500 which is on the low side from what I have seen??

Take delivery and then throw another $5k - $10k worth of accessories. So basically $40k for a new non Turbo.

No wonder the used market is so crazy.

Comparing the R to speed is really irrelevant.
Until a speed is in a garage it doesnt matter which is cheaper

No they are not. The both The Turbo R and Pro R have the same suspension and shocks. Pro R has a longer rear chassis and slightly longer rear trailing arms to accommodate the longer engine. That is it. That gives the Pro R 2 inches more rear suspension travel. Both have the Max Link rear suspension, same geometry. front suspension On both is identical with identical travel. There are chassis differences to accommodate the 2.0 engine. Other than the 2 inch longer rear trailing arm and toe link, the 2 cars are the same suspension wise.

I already have 2 for under $38k :) considering the 3rd posted here.

That is a great deal if the guy does not want any markup.

No c’mon, you can haggle them down when there are 2 on the showroom floor and 5 people waiting to buy the 2 in stock.

there are a few pro R’s in garages now for sure that customers have purchased at dealers they are trickling out now…this is a fact ! I also have a good friend that purchased 2 pro R ultimates from a dealer in Oklahoma for a tad over 40k each out the door. There’s deals to be had you just have to look for them.

There are 12k+ units going to dealers out of 15k+ orders. The vast majority are going to dealers, not sold direct.
That doesn’t answer my question though? Are the Speed prices set or can you go to a dealer and get one OTD for under MSRP? If so do you know of anyone who has done this?

Back to the original point of this argument, you do not need to pay stupid add on and mark ups when buying the new RZR and can even purchase them OTD for under MSRP.

No one has paid for one in full yet from a dealer, just deposits. The dealer can do whatever it wants with pricing.

Everyone I know bought early and direct, and is OTD well below MSRP.

Again, this car starts $4k cheaper than a Pro R.

I will believe you can buy a Speed OTD for under MSRP when I see it. However this thread is about the new Pro R and so was my original comment. So far we know that you can buy a new Pro R for well below MSRP and you can also take delivery of it from a dealer as of before New Years (there were Pro R 4 seaters in Glamis for New Years). Both things which you stated yesterday were impossible.

I’ve already been invoiced, as have thousands of others. My cars were $32k plus tax and delivery. The MSRP is $38,500.

As I said, you are not getting a pro R for under 40k. And you said the 2 cars were the same price and they are not. You also said you are forced to pay MSRP, you are not.

You can’t walk into a dealer today and buy a Pro R and drive off in it, and Turbo Rs still aren’t being made.

Exactly. Look at the specs as you said. 3 parts don’t make them “entirely” different when they run the identical front suspension, same shocks, same radius rods, same geometry, etc.

32k was MSRP at the time of your purchase, as I’ve said before we are talking about someone who is currently in the market.

I said the top end models MSRP for the same price as they do, so fare we’ve proven RZRs can be bought for under MSRP, we have not proven Speeds can. Also, if you can buy an Ultimate OTD for under MSRP out why can’t you you buy a sport or premium for the same? Those will both be under 40k cars lol…

Just because a dealer doesn’t have the car on the floor doesn’t mean you can’t order it, they are in production with less than a 2 month turn around.

It’s ok to admit you are wrong every once in a while lol

dont forget the speed cars have accesories too!!!

all these speed car owners are in for 2k-6k in accesories. so that 38K car now is more like 42. and the 32K cars early on are more like 38.

You haven’t “proven” anything, and neither have I. You heard someone bought 2 at once for “a little over 40”. That is almost meaningless. A little over 40k OTD out of state is probably an MSO, you still have to pay tax and reg in your own state, putting you over MSRP.

It was stated the early Speed cars were at a discount. It is not my fault I bought at a discount when they were on sale.

I’ll admit I was wrong when you admit everything you are saying about haggling and deposits for a Pro R also applies to Speed, and they are $4k cheaper to start.

How’s that?

Lol and it’s the same for a Polaris. Plus you have to pay the dealer to install all the crap. You get Speed accessory install free at the factory and also included in warranty.

Lol TMS is the only dealership in the US now?

Lets say you do find one out of state. They aren't selling them under MSRP right now. You may be able to find one without a markup and maybe some savings on additional costs, but below MSRP on ANYTHING right now just isn't happening from what I have heard. So back to finding one out of state at MSRP with no markup...etc...etc. you still have to arrange transportation back and with that cost, the markup / additional savings might not be worth it 🤷‍♂️

You took a chance and bought the Speeds early at it looks to have paid off, I’m not a Speed hater and going to say they will take your money and run. Most people here know you can haggle on a RZR or Can Am but they also have a different business model than Speed. It has not been proven that you can haggle on a Speed car because as you stated no one has paid in full for one.

I claimed Pro Rs are not 46k, this is true.

I claimed you can haggle on a RZR even during COVID, this is true.

You claimed you can not haggle on a RZR during COVID, this has been proven false.

You claimed Pro Rs are months away from delivery, this has been proven false.

You claimed you can haggle on a Speed, no one knows the answer.

That is true, just depends how hard you look and how good of a deal you got. As Racer stated you can find even Pro Rs below MSRP. Saving almost 10k (according to what LOF claims they will cost in CA) would be worth it to ship back to CA.

All I said was the top line Pro R was $46. I sad the premium was $42.
I sad you aren't getting any 4 seat Pro R for under $40. You haven't been unable to even come up with an unsubstantiated claim that someone could do that.
I said Turbo Rs are months away from delivery, that is a different model.
You can negotiate any price you want at a dealer for a Speed car.
Aaaaaand Speed starts $4k cheaper

And the tax.. You have to pay the tax and reg when you get it here. That affects the "OTD" price by nearly 10%.

Yea stuff can be cheaper out of state, but once again, its not 2019 anymore where you can get a loaded top line car in your driveway for around MSRP.

Why do you add tax and license to RZR prices but not Speed prices lol. According to Racer there have already been multiple Ultimates bought for under 46k OTD anyways.

What is the best price you have seen a El Jefe sell for from a dealer at current MSRP?

I've added tax and license to Speed prices.

I can go buy an El Jefe for $36K OTD. You can too. Right now. Want it cheaper? Start "haggling"

Yes. Go to a dealer and negotiate a price. Your best tool is the Speed website. Why would I buy from you Mr dealer when I can buy direct from Speed for less. It’s a very simple conversation.

You will get a “better” price.

I can’t afford a 32k SXS even if I could swing it I need a SXS to be under 72 inches. I’m just asking for the purpose of this thread if you have seen someone with a contract under MSRP.

heres the truth.......if someone can by a RZR R, the most expensive one, and it is within $4000 of the speed car higher, and you can get one this season, and its 90% as bad ass the unknown speed, and you can take it to any dealer for warranty work with Polaris having parts on hand,
I have no idea why you would choose speed over the R.
Speed took to long, they missed the hype. Can Am will have something new before Speed gets momentum.

Not bashing Speed, its just how consumers act.
Now if there are speeds cars on a showroom floor, and R's on a showroom floor and you can pick one or the other thats different. NEXT seasons UTV shopping will determine which way consumers go.

heres the truth.......if someone can by a RZR R, the most expensive one, and it is within $4000 of the speed car higher, and you can get one this season, and its 90% as bad ass the unknown speed, and you can take it to any dealer for warranty work with Polaris having parts on hand,
I have no idea why you would choose speed over the R.

This!!!

The pro r is way beefier than anything we have seen before. It’s rivaling class 10 size and speed. Shit it’s got a 4 cylinder in it too lol. Polaris did a good job on this one. I have seen a video with it going 100+ mph out of the box.

I would agree mostly. Speed is not for everyone. Can Am is not going to announce or debut anything before Summer.. Speeds will be out by then and before the 2022 Can AMs come out.

As far as why choose/wait for Speed over the Pro R? 300 HP on E85. You'll be looking at a $10K minimum to get a Pro R to 300 HP. Same for a Can Am.

Outside Baja or Glamis, the extra power isn't needed for 99% of people.
