I think it's a good lesson for all of us. Social Media should only be so important. Social Media shouldn't control our lives. It's just entertainment and nothing more. I agree. I guess my comparison with Riverdave to someone who became famous on TT or an online community for various reasons is because people like them for various reasons and are financially reimbursed for it.

So it's not just fat and ugly people, DEI advocates, and memes. TikTok is a serious threat to the United States' secrets. China fully intends to invade and conquer Taiwan. Their military buildup is bringing them closer and closer to parity with ours.

Liked the app because it feeds topics I mostly enjoy. None political and light hearted . Topics that take me away from the grind of my profession. Which I love but it can be consuming.

I guess at the end of the day we all need an escape. At least for me somewhere we can go at the end of the day to get our minds off of things we deal with every day that are much more serious that the topics of the videos we watch.

If you’re someone that was distraught that tik tok got shut down, it’s probably a very good thing for you that it did get shut down.

I erased Facebook from my phone last week, and found myself so much more productive and finishing projects that were sidelined. Now, I’m reading and doing research when I was wasting time on that app.

At this point, I’d be happy to rewind everything back to the 80’s.

That’s how I was a few years back I deleted Facebook, and instagram I was going down a rabbit hole on both apps. Always saw someone with something better was never content with what I had I was my worst enemy lol. I spent to much time on those apps. I enjoyed social media I still do. I don’t knock it from the people who use it. I just couldn’t get off I’d be on it for hours daily. What I miss about it is keeping up with everyone I enjoyed seeing my friends on vacations with their family’s or just a nice day out when they post. What I don’t miss about it is everyone portraying the perfect life’s like none of us have issues. I do think Tik tok will be back. And if it’s not there will be another app like it. Alot of people made a lot of money off of it, musicians were established on that app, I don’t like to see anyone lose their source of income so I feel bad for alot of people. Tok tok was great for certain industries of business as well.

I never used Tik Tock or had an account there.....My financial guy told me to avoid it like the plague years ago, never send him any TT links and I listened to him. He stated it was for hacking info as its main goal for the CCP. Have I played some TT videos over the years....ya....but never added an app or searched around on it.
