Where's that pic of him running the 47 beaker?True story
Well, last time I checked I'm only one person.
Ok 55 was the magic number a husband wife could dock by them self

Geeze some marriages end on the launch ramp, wonder what the stats show for married couples docking 55' sportfishers by themselves
Probably depends how many thrusters, if you've got SkyHook --- and the wind of course Experience Matters, a lot
Congratulations!!Looks like the Nortech goes down the road tomorrow, Concepts taking it in as a trade
You're not listening. There may be others present when I go boating, but let's be clear. I'm solo! LOL
She has many talents, helping on the boat is not one of them
Congratulations!!
Not mine
All kidding aside, every boat weve owned we have taken a week day and practice launching and retrieving the boat.
My wife is one of the few people Id trust backing the trailer down the ramp
My wife does extremely well doing the backing duties at the launch ramp, never a problem, but I've sure witnessed some screaming matches
She also handles the dock lines like a pro when we had our sportsfisher, even in the wind picking up a mooring can on Catalina Island.
The only really challenging night was at the west end (Isthmus) bar on Catalina when the bartender, apparently thinking he was going to do me a big "Fun night" favor, mixed way to much fun into her drinks. Then me, half shit-faced trying to get her black-out drunk ass out of the zodiac, then over the transom (Wish I'd had a transom door that night, LOL) into the cockpit without injuring her (or me) was a comedy act to behold.
For the two of us, I'm looking at about 48' max. I fished with a guy on a 54' Bert and that was a big boat. Age is also a consideration, neither of us are kids anymore
I'll always be a Toys R Us Kid
Even at 60
My wife is a great first mate, she can drive the boat back to port and dock it if I was injured, and load the boat on the trailer
I know someone else who is on that list.My wife is one of the few people Id trust backing the trailer down the ramp
The late Moses was a awesome driver.
Should be a pretty short list no?Finally! Someone uses my tag line!!
Congrats on the trade value, can't wait to meet you and check out your new float.
My buddy Roger made it over tonight after work and helped me lay out where all the dash electronics should logically be, and we came up with a game plan.
Looking up the remaining parts right now.
Started pouring rain here about an ago and it’s supposed to go through the night. Flood warnings have been posted as well. Winter storm warning up towards the boarder.Looks like itll be mostly you and @jb600
getting the brunt of it. 41 and foggy here.

With all the snow we have and the frost in ground, this could be interesting.Yeah the flood warnings are at the highest level, gonna be interesting to see what happens! I’m hoping for no flooding. We’ll see about snow, right now it’s staying as rain, tonight might be a different story
I have no words...What a fun day, Mikis stomach has been bothering her so I took her to the local doctor, who looked her over and said she should have an ultrasound done. First off the hospital in Marathon has been closed since Irma, but they have an ER set up with all the equipment. The doctor writies up the order hands it to Miki says run down to the ER and have them do it, no problem right?
We get to the ER area which is several mobile homes connected by ramps, head in give them the paper work and wait. Miki is called and goes in back after 5 min she comes back out, they told her the sheet the doctor gave her wasnt marked "stat" so we have to call and make an appointment. Why we couldnt make one when standing there I dont know, but no big deal we'll call and get an appointment. Miki calls and finds some one that speaks english and explains what she is doing, they explain they have no contract with our insurance company and she cant make an appointment, when she asks what she should do, they say go back to Wisconsin.
Now we head back to the doctors office and explain whats happening, the doctor takes the sheet of paper back and writes "stat" on it and gives it back to us. We drive back to the ER and present the "stat" paper work to the people that 45 min ago told us to make an appointment. BTW the ER was really slow at the time. We get a less than happy response from the front desk and sit down to wait as told. 2 hours later they call Miki in back. It was about noon and Ellie needs to be fed at certain times every day to reduce her chance of a seizure so I leave to run home. Returning 30 min later, Miki still has not had her ultrasound, but they did take blood pressure and heart rate.
Now during this waiting time a big ER run came in, they shut our door so I assume it wasnt good. But for entertainment they bring a guy to the room next to us, and I am NOT making any of this up. Im making the assumption he wasnt gainfully employed or lives in a house. Any way they ask him whats up, says he diabetic and suffering from alcohol withdrawal. Nurse asks whens the last time you checked your blood sugar level? He said a couple months ago, she asks whens the last time you had a drink, he responds saying hes having alcohol withdrawal, she re asked when was your last drink, he responds, I had a fifth about an hour ago. They take him to another room to "clean him up" their words not mine. Anyway as they start to clean he is cussing and screaming it hurts and wished he never came in.
Ok, back to Miki, 3:30 rolls around and Ellie needs to go out, so I leave again run home let Ellie out and head back. Nurse was in and asked if Miki had to pee, she said she had already went, they say the ultrasound works way better with a really full bladder. So an IV and a couple glasses of water later they take her back for her ultrasound. We wait another 1/2 hour doctor came back says he doesnt see anything and we should make an appointment with a specialist. We leave the ER at 5:30

Heidi has had some horrible stomach problems. Just sucks, nothing you can do to help them. Sorry to hear that, hope Miki is able to find some relief.I have no words...
