We are officially “under contract” on the Bahamas house, flying out tomorrow to meet with the builder we picked
When is that dingy going to be ready to buzz over and check on progress?

Last second ski trip with the family as of ten minutes ago. Grabbing the ditch bag and heading north. Love it when it all works out.
Is there anything north besides more plains out yonder?

Full disclosure, my bride made it happen.

So I’ll throw in some rebar and wire tomorrow evening and be ready to pour.

All these cabinets came out of the same kitchen (not mine) so no idea why they were different heights and different kick panel depths. I fixed the height issue tonight and I’ll deal will the kick panel later.

Form built, joints siliconed to keep the concrete from running. I’m ready to roll.

@j21black , sherwin williams sells a " heavy duty block filling primer", works amazing on osb to fill all the voids....
Top coat it with whatever you want.

Its really inexpensive also.

Use a 3/4" nap roller to apply it.

I just threw some paint in there and said fuck it.

I’m thinking of running a couple orbital sanders on the bottom side of the plywood as I pour the concrete to help it settle, unless someone has a better idea.

Not worried about it being smooth on the osb as it is staying in place.

I'll post a pic of the hula hut walls in a couple days.
Osb, painted with the block filling primer, and top coated with water based epoxy.
It doesn't suck. ;)

And yea.... it's just "my" barn. Lolol...

Next time you are headed south just stop by and show me how it’s done!

I learn best by watching others do the work! [emoji1787]

Mornin boys. Back to reality. 2° here, just a bit more nippy than the 75° we left yesterday afternoon.

Vehicular maintenance, snow relocation, and practice driving with the youngest daughter this weekend and next, as her Driver’s License test is less than two weeks away.

Yep. You guys should make the stop. I only have a Baja, but I could take you out on Lake Martin!

Two issues, first being 100 miles from Florida is way different than being 100 miles from I75

Second I dont know if the new boat will go north, 45 ft and a 11 beam vs 39 ft and a 10 beam, without permits?

So I wired tied the 3 main reed bar pieces down and said F it and broke out the zip ties.

They will work fine for this.

Was going to pour it tonight but I still haven’t put the mixer together. I’ll do that after supper and pour it in the morning.
