When I was 12, my parents took me to the tall ships in Newport harbor, Rhode Island in 1976 for the bicentennial. Those are bad ass. Still have the program with the signatures of the captains.

Right on we used to fly out of Dupage when my dad had a v tail.

He moved to Palwaukee when he got rid of the V for an A36.

Amazing how those two airports have changed, yet Galt
looks the same as it did in the early 80’s when he kept his piper commanche there when we lived in Sunnyside.

View attachment 727560 Time to spill the beans, we put a low ball offer on a house in Elbow Cay Bahamas, the offer was accepted. The week Hula was here my wife and her friend went over there and stayed at the house we are buying. So Monday I get to fly over for 5 days and look thru it, fwiw we will be completely gutting the place, it has been in a rental pool for 10 years with very little upkeep done
Here’s the house, purchase includes the lot to the right and the lot/dock across the street

Very cool. Am I losing a good neighbor at KCB?

Galt reminds me of the airport where I learned to fly. I like it more the Dupage, but the club is at Dupage so I just have to visit. :D

Mornin boys. Heading to get stretched on the rack this morning.

Stopped in at Hula HQ2.0 yesterday after he graciously bought lunch. It’s really shaping up, and the kitchen is going to be phenomenal.

A week ago when I was there and he asked me what I would do, I said “I’d open it up to the roof”. He pondered for a couple moments and replied “Oh, f*(k you!!”; I seem to have that effect on people :D

His version is classier and will look really sharp.

Safe travels BBB.

I didn’t finish the last snow relocation program, and it’s sounding like we get to do it again tomorrow.

Rode from Grayling to Mackinaw City, up on the west side of I75 and back on the east Side of I75.

Went to the deli at the local grocery store to grab some lunch.

I thought I was seeing double; two Subarus, the same color, from the same dealer (40 miles away), both parked in handicap spots. Apparently maroon Subarus are the preferred vehicle...
