Going to be 60 here on Sunday.
We could use a day of that without the rain. Trying to remove some ice around the lot and sidewalks. Salt is not working. Need to get them clear, I have several seniors that walk the sidewalks in the morning. Feel bad for them walking on all the ice.

Seems like another life ago since I spent any time in the Bahamas, that's awesome !!
Curious, is each home responsible for its own water collection and storage ?

Correct everyone collects rain water and stores it but if they run out there is s water delivery company on the island

I don’t know what this guy did wrong but I think his time out should be over.:D

At least my chiropractor has a sense of humor.

If asking a simple question caused his disappearance, so be it. o_O

I'm still here. Just nothing to post in this thread. Like anyone would care what I had for lunch today.

I've been at the barn all afternoon where the girls keep their horses. The guy who owns the barn broke his hip ice fishing almost two weeks ago and we've been helping out with chores. When I got there, two horses were out, one in a manger/alley way, a water hydrant was frozen, and they all needed hay.

I got the horses back in and straightened a few blankets, fed and watered the horses, and got a round bale ready for tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I need to stop back tomorrow to take the tire off the tractor to get it repaired, it spun off the rim.

I grabbed an Old Milwaukee while doing chores, fair trade?:):D

Um, I may have to let you know in a month.

I didn't, I tried hearing with a torch, but I got nervous about stressing the galvanized pipe so I stopped. Not sure what to do now without a major project.

Would wrapping the pipe with some temporary heat trace work? We do that all the time on pipes that get missed on freeze protection inspections at the power plant. HD or hardware stores carry it.

Old farmers trick is to connect welder leads to opposite ends of the water pipe and turn the welder on.

Did you leave the welder hooked up for ease of defrosting, thinking ahead for the next session?:)

As an added bonus, I'm guessing the boiling water will kill any local bacteria and microorganisms in there too!:D

Nope... Didn't remember the question until now.

Speaking of questions, what’s your occupation out on the left coast?

I have a small metal manufacturing company in Wisconsin, maybe we could do business if similar interests

I have no problem with heating up the pipe above grade, I thought about heat tape but I would have to put up a temporary wall to keep the horses away. Right now they don't mess with the hydrant, but as soon as I would put wires on it, it looks like a chew toy.

We also do that welder trick on caustic soda piping. Caustic crystallizes at around 50*F.

Well we don’t match up very good to do business:)

Out of curiosity, if you live in Canada and develop in the states, where do you pay taxes?

I've met 90% of the midwest post hos in person. Ive either seen or ridden in their boats and met their families.

Jriggs runs a 47 fountain
So does rt930turbo.
Snowhammer has a sweet active thunder, hydroskreamin has a 23 Daytona,
Sonics31 is currently running a little checkmate with a wacker.
I've driven tripleb's nortech 390 sport.

Point is. We all know each other.
At a bare minimum spoke on the phone.
