Went walking this morning, I was able to visit Elbow Cay Club, was a resort back in the 60-70’s but has been abandoned for a long time

Reminds me of my buddy and I exploring Cat Cay (By Bimini) in 68', was eerie as hell walking around an entire island that had been abandoned. All these once nice British style homes just rotting away and the clubhouse in ruins, the swimming pool buckled and heaving out of the ground. Apocalyptic feeling, creepy.
Guess once prohibition was lifted and along with that the offshore gambling ceased, everybody just left. I guess it's all rebuilt now and thriving.

Very much so, even has its own airport and you can clear customs

We picked a builder for our place in Abaco, got to tour a home the builder did for a client. Holy crap what a place, went down to the garage, under the house, all finished off, floor sealed, my guess you could have used a tape measure between golf carts they were parked so perfect!
On the top side he had a HUGE deck around the pool and house made of Ipee wood.
I spent $1700 for a fricken gate, this guy must have spent $100,000 for his deck. The whole place was very very impressive, knocked my socks off

Scared me for minute there. Thought maybe you bought another project for that “Hula” character.
I dont mind doing a few smaller projects for others now and then, but my days of doing remodels for others have passed.
Getting my own place fit for habitation is enough. ;)

I may have to see it in person to give it my approval though.

Mornin fellers. Last day in paradise for about a week. Taking the wife to soak her toes in warm sand for her birthday next week.

It’s the opposite for me. Looks like more snow for the weekend for us. :(

Morning all.

Rain down here then lots if wind. I've got a spruce tree in my front yard I'm worried about...

Oil changed in the Jeep...Off to clear some snow from the roof, clear the driveway and sidewalk before the shit hits again tomorrow. We got about 4” last night. There is about 4’ of snow in some spots of the roof. I wonder can I get the old snowblower up there?:D
