Went to HulaHutTemporary last night to go over rigging locations for all items steering, tabs, and jackplate. There’s a good plan in place and Hula knows what he has to do.

My buddies folks live on the south east shore of winnebago. The lake ate their boathouse and a big azz willow tree a couple years ago.
Ice was 14-16' tall on their shore. Boathouse was barely visible, save a few splinters.

As a kid growing up on the river, I watched ice moved by the current rip trees from the bank...

Ice is no joke. Especially moved by wind.

Yep, I've seen ice stacked up on shore like giant broken sheets of drywall. Some people learn the hard way not to put vinyl seawall on the east/southeast side of certain lakes.

West end of butte des morts is the last hold out. It's open for quite a ways west of the 41 bridge. Saw a guy fishing Thursday afternoon.

Morning all. Took the boy out in search for a long beard this morning. My
Finger felt frozen in that stupid brace. It’s been a month. Go back again tomorrow.

First pics are from earlier this week. When I got back from the hunt this morning I soaked it in peroxide and removed the dead skin. I think it looks great. I’m done with the brace even if he tells him to keep using it. I think leaving it off and uncovered a couple hours a day has been the best thing for it so far. I will however use it if I’m doing some labor that may require it.

Pretty much, the die came down on his hand and stopped short of cutting it off, bad part was as he was standing there waiting for people to get his hand out he could feel his fingers explode one by one
