Dave, In one of your pics of your fendors is a piece of Diamond Plate. Did you hit that as well? I have diamond plate under my battery boxes, and we polished it, but it gets stepped on when the motor is serviced so it shows some scratches. I would like to keep that "just polished" look, but it's a little tight back there to get in and polish, so the easier the better.

I went over it for about a minute with a microfiber. I don't know if this will remove deep scratches, but it will definately "brighten" it up to the point where I don't think you would see them.

Like I said in the 1st post, this isn't the in depth review here.. I just messed around with the stuff for 15 minutes and that was the results. my diamond plate was very dull before I started though to answer the next question, so it did in fact "polish" it back up.

going to embriodery shop in a few minutes.. :)

You remember me telling you I had a neighbor/ friend who did an awsome job on hats and shirts?

Well they screwed up my last shirt order and printed about 300 shirts in Baby Blue. We paid before we opned the boxes (We're good friends) and that was a mistake. We danced around like 6th graders, fists in the air. :) To date it's either sue them or move on. Whatever.

So that ended that relationship. This type of biz is difficult if you want quality stuff. So anyone who has had anything like this made...understands. PITA.

<--------------Homophobic construction worker....no baby blue shirts. But I am forcing my guys to wear them LOL.

I do not fault Eliminator at all..

the long and short of it is their embroidery girl was pregnant. There was complications.. too make a long story short.. Well you can read between the lines.

I'm not gonna lean on someone to get my shit done, when something like that is going on in their life. It took awhile to get the hats back, but I have them back now and they are at another shop. If people hate on me because it's taking forever I'm fine with that. Soemtimes shit happens.

Bob tried to help me out, and through a set of extra-ordinary circumstances it didn't work out. I appreciate the fact that he tried to help me out.

You got caught in a timing issue. Happens. Quality is something you won't budge on. We all know this about you by now. So if someone hates on you for that then it is what it is. ;)

Now back to the business at hand.

I am going to order some of this Metal Wax and try it on my stainless boat fenders. :thumbsup

I was over at Metalwaxs shop today & Mike told me about this thread! Some one asked how it worked on truck wheels! Well here you go! I used to pay $45.00 a wheel to have them polished, now I do them myself with Metalwax!

I just did my stainless kitchen sink and chrome fixtures, wife got home and was like WTF did you do to the sink (lets just say its kinda blingy now;)). Amazing results, also scoured it with convential cleaners when finished to be on the safe side.

Pretty sure MetalWax is actually food grade.. You'd have to ask SangerMike but for some reason I remember him telling me that?

You know.......it's kind of funny.... Dave started this thread to share information about a new product that many board members seem to be very interested in. :thumbsup

And..... over on Performance Boats, a similar thread about the same product - was deleted by Admin. :thumbsdown

For fuck sakes! It's not like it was an "Act now and we'll double your order!" in-your-face sales pitch aimed at putting all of PB's advertisers out of business
It was just a few before and after pics, and a link to where interested parties could find more info and/or purchase the product....FROM A FELLOW BOATER/BOARD MEMBER! :bash:

just sayin

There is a Jeep forum like that. You have to pay $2500 to be a vendor there. The webmaster idiot then will blacklist that same vendor if you do anything that he doesn't approve, and ban you so you can't give any rebuttals. Members obviously cannot talk about any company that does not sponsor the """Site"""

So I remember when I got banned. They were throwing another great aftermarket vendor under the bus, and I said something like "They must suck ass, because all the really cool vendors are here and we can actually type there company name without getting banned"... That post was up maybe 15 seconds and deleted and then buh-bye...:D

Hey Mike, Is this stuff food safe or whatever RD called it? Also which of your products would you recomend for an enclosed trailer with baked enamel on aluminum? Aswell I thought I remebered something about a stronger version of the green stuff, is this correct?

How well does this stuff work on a toon?

Cig, I haven't tried it on aluminum yet to see how well it'll give that "initial" polish.. I suspect for maintenance (keeping them polished) it'd be perfect.. if I have sometime today I will get a piece of billet out of the shop and give it a once over to see how it polishes us.

Hud Chris asked me to put the threads back up that admin had removed so I did last night. The problem resulted from pb not informing the admins who were advertisers and who were not. Complaints were received, threads were temp deleted and notices sent out as are standing instructions from Chris in this scenario of non-advertiser promotion. Any time you have a site (any site) which is supported by advertising dollars this will be the case to some degree. Not to hijack the thread, just an attempt to clarify and head off some escalated unnecessary childish feud of some sort between websites which seems absurd to me each time I read it.

There is a PB/RDP feud? I hate to miss out on conflict of any kind. :D

Personally, I don't see any feuds. I do see some formerly PB only members starting to show up at RDP, though.

RDP is probably loosing some loyal members too. I haven't seen Grads in a while so he's probably over there.

Mike, this thread isn't up here because I'm a nice guy... This thread is up here because I tried something (metalwax) and it worked.

A forum (boating or otherwise) is supposed to be a free exchange of information, and ideas.. Free obviously being the key word there.

In my mind once you tell someone that they can not share because they are not an advertiser, then your board isn't a board anymore it's a commercial, with a lot of comments.

People seem to have short term memory syndrome on the internet, because Hotboat was NEVER like this.

Since PB is the new standard, I guess that makes me a nice guy.. In reality though, this place has been here longer then PB. I just haven't changed the dynamic from Hotboat. They created a new dynamic.

I have heard the argument that "It's a business and business's have to pay"

To put it simply I don't believe that to be true, and that is not the way I choose to run this forum. (Back to what a forum actually is, a free exchange of information). A magazine is absolutely one giant advertisement, and so is the front page of the website etc.. but they are not interactive with a community. The forum itself is a different entity with a life of it's own.

In my mind, absolutely a company should share information with a community.. If a company likes what that website has going for it, then they will advertise with the website because they WANT TO support the site/forum, not because they are forced too.

If someone else throws up information on the board that is competitive with an advertiser, then the advertisers gets the "Company that advertises with the site, supports the site" edge over company B that does not.

I dunno.. I'm sure I could make more $$$ if I leveraged it, but I don't think it's the right way to do it so I won't.

I will say what he's doing seems to be working (at least short term anyways). So maybe my thought process is wrong.. I dunno only time will tell who's right.
