How is the box supported with regards to tech support? Are there forums that people that have them can get answers without depending on one person? Dave is a boater, not an experienced tv hacker by any means which is not a dig on Dave, it's just the fact that this box needs a forum with people across the country helping others figure out similar issues. Similar to what happens here when boating concerns are raised.

IMHO, I think rd is going to take more heat than it's worth for promoting these things. Anyone that has hacked satellite before knows the boxes will eventually fail. Hopefully for those that bought em, this won't happen, but there is a history to hacking tv and you eventually get tired of buying new boxes every 4 months.
This is just my 3 cents.

I don't really see that happening with this thing to be honest Joker.

Very different than hacked cards or boxes. It's streaming video from off shore, could they shut it down? yes, will it be tomorrow? Hell no.
With all cable and satellite companies just announcing that they are raising their rates again, I'll get as much as I can outta Streamsmart.

That's kind of the shitty thing. I'm not sure there is really any tech support out there, but to your point I'm pretty far from a TV Hacker guy.. So there might be, but I wouldn't know about it. LOL My only contact in the whole deal is Cable Box Dave, and he's big on this "Voxer" app deal for tech support. I can't wrap my head around using a walkie talkie app for tech support, but Dave's all in on it, and my jokes don't seem to be putting a dent in his thought process. LOL

Most the tech support I know just came from screwing around with it, and then some coaching from Dave if I got in trouble. I have also learned a lot from the members on RDP that have posted tips and tricks.

There are several different types of boxes and lots of people that use them. I have a g box which is similar but u need to find and install all
Your own apps it's a pain. People that have boxes off amazon are constantly asking me what apps I run. Im sure a quick google search of Xmbc would have plenty of links

We encourage evryone to download the Voxer app which is a walkie talkie app that is exactly what you mentioned. Once you join you will be invited into the Tech Support Chat which is like a forum but is done through voice or text messaging. Works out extremely well because the person seeking the tech support can listen to the answer over and over, so we don't have to repeat ourselves over and over. It's a life saver that is saving countless hours.

You are absolutely correct, many many different boxes out there, but here's what most don't know. DigiXstream is the top leader in this industry right now because we are not selling MX or Gbox knockoffs to include the MX and the G box also. What makes us different then the rest is DigiXstream isn't a one man show like pretty much everyone out there selling their own private label. There are engineers, coders and developers always working to come up with new added features that no other box has and when a knockoff comes out with one of our features such as the OTA they obtained that technology from us without permission. Just like our wizard, it's ours, we developed it, try to control it, people steal it and put it on other boxes until we shut it down and change the coding and passwords. We have made big deals with companies like USTVNOW and Sports Access to offer subscription based programming for free to our customers. No one i mean no one does or offers it because no one is willing to pay thousands of dollars every month just so their customers don't have to pay monthly fees for exclusive content. We do, and our customers know the difference between all the junk being touted and why ours are considered the best. DigiXstream and Stream Smart are the leaders in the industry hands down and there is no box on the market that can compete unless they are stealing our firmware which is happening but we are putting fail-safes in place to ensure our longevity in this industry.

Will not stay connected. Keep having to reset it and reload the software. However that has now stopped working. Had it hardwired when it would connect I would see around 30 to 40mps.

Dave M was willing to work with me but has gone quite recently.

RD on the other hand has been huge help. Set the box up at his place and saw the issues I was having. Got it working for a bit. I brought it home and it work good for a day then went to shit.

I'm really sorry we got our lines crossed. Just send your unit back without the packaging or anything else just the box itself and I will send you a completely new S3 all programmed ready to go. Cool?
