Some random pics of the house boat. Six bedrooms down stairs, several master suites up stairs.. three full blown kitchens.

Does someone own this or did you rent it? If you rented it where did you find it? The ones online don’t look half as nice as this.

I also like the white center console you took a picture of.

To rent this houseboat would be 40,000 a week. Lol. Tony knows the owner so him and Paul stayed on it.

We are coming back for sure Billdo. The Hallett is a great powell boat. Small enough to tow, holds enough fuel we can run anywhere we want, etc..

I want to go!!

And the fun continues. Hit Bearizona on the way home and was pleasantly surprised at how cool that actually was!

Saw wolves, bears, white bisons, bison, bears, beavers, a jaguar (that thing is creepy up close) all kinds of stuff. one of the bears came right up to the truck.. I was a little concerned about my paint job so I moved on.. I’m pretty convinced if I hung out it would stoop up and put its paws on the side.

Great value for 60.00 for my family of 5.

Currently in Williams eating at a fancy Italian restaurant/ steak house “red raven” before we hit the road again.

We would stay and do the Grand Canyon train tour tomorrow but we paid for this camp thing for Sierra to go to and it starts tomorrow..

Great pix, love Lake Powell! 5 hours from Havasu, I would be there all the time that is the same amount of time it takes us from Ventura County to Havasu.

Been staying at Cameron for years! First went there in the late 80's on motorcycles just passing through. They didn't take credit cards. You had to mail them a check for the room deposit. If you're traveling from LA to Powell, it's one hour north of Flagstaff. There is a restaurant, ice cream shop, Indian Jewelrry clothing gasoline and they take pet's. Since it's on a reservation, if you drink, make sure it's in your room. The fine for drinking on a reservation used to be $250K. I don't know what it is now or if they changed the law.

I know there was a fine for selling alcohol to indians way back in the day.. never heard of any laws about drinking on A reservation.

Super Cool Dave,
I'm going next year now for sure. Just moved up on my bucket list. I think I can manage it before my trip to Mars with Space X. :D

The guy I fly with up there is Dave with Adonia Yachts. After we landed he took me to check out one of his newest rigs. It’s 112’ Long and 24’ wide. It’s unreal.
(Don't mind the huge puddle. One of the toilets had a stuck valve and flooded. Dave mad a call on the radio and about 6 people showed up within minutes to fix it.)

This is the main kitchen, master bath, and upstairs kitchen

This is a 40’ hydraulic fold down dock. Obviously it couldn’t fold down in the slip

Instead of having PWC docks above deck they put them under the deck so that you had more deck space when not in use

The boat has a full staff with staff quarters to boot. It’s insane.

I wish I had more time on it. He was in a rush and I couldn't take more pics. It's next level for sure. I think he said around $4M

Anchor ropes a bit loose :)

I KNEW someone was going to notice that. :(

This year the water was coming up very little each day and the winds were light. I slacked off a bit.
Always cinch them up before gong to bed though.

I have houseboat envy.
I don't know how we managed to enjoy a week on our Powell Obsession. :D

I'd rather have yours than one of the other monsters, in my opinion.

When did the Marinas do away with the 80 foot limit (it might have been 85 feet)? A friend of mine bought a brand new Sumerset in the early 2000's. He was limited on the overall boat length back then.

I've heard various stories about how the Park Service decided to allow boats over what I thought was a 75' limit.
Everything from a politically connected person to one of Moyes' early houseboats.
One thing is for sure, that limit is long gone. Some of the houseboats are just crazy large.
We enjoy ours and really don't want for more.

I don’t think it is. Dats/overland trucking bought the Glendinning boat

The owner of the houseboat that I posted is Jerry Moyes. (Someone else posted it in the thread earlier as well)

I just didn't feel good about name dropping etc..

I was saying the overland guys bought a friend of mines brothers boat not the one you posted. Those things are insane.

you went through flagstaff??? isn't it quicker and better roads going through vegas???

Steve, the road is actually better going through flagstaff, lots of passing lane and good shoulders. No roads like that section between Hurricane and Kanab where it's all single lane and has steep and poor shoulders that would be hard to change a tire on as there are not that many places with good pull offs. It's a little bit longer going flagstaff i think, even when leaving from Boulder City, so it would be another 40+ miles on top of that for you i'd imagine.

That looks like the boat we had twice on Powell. Had a great time and spent most of the time on the top deck.

It's not a rental boat. Small group of us own it but there are many of the same type out there.
It's a very functional layout without being so large it becomes a chore.

The 89 between Flagstaff and Page sucks. Feels like a roller coaster especially when towing.

How long did it take you to get there by car back then?

We went with a group for several years that had been on the lake since the late 60's. They went to Halls and it was an 8 hour drive from Blanding on uranium roads to get there.

My dad started going in 85 and we spent every summer there until I went off to school.
