We will be there Friday afternoon.
You will see the old Daytona tied up to the back of the house we’re staying in. On the main channel.

Cell service at antelope point is spotty. Up the lake it’s very very spotty! However in town, page. Decent service.

I didn’t stop and never ran faster than 78. 55-72 for the most part. 5.5 hours. Wasn’t a bad tow.

I truly dont want to hear any crybabies bitching about a 5.5 hr tow or even a 11 hr tow to Powell. We got an incredible invite from Sean Robert's for 4th of July and we are gonna tow 15+ hours to spend 3+ days on my favorite place on earth=Powell

Andy tried to go to bed but I talked into one beer st the bar which turned into three. .

I had high hopes of finishing and sending my newsletter tonight but I think that’s going to have to get finished tomorrow night when I get back to the hotel. I’m freakin best from loading and cleaning etc all the stuff into the bost before Andy came and picked it up, then the drive here..

Lake Powell is a great place, take a lot of photos and check out Horseshoe Bend just short drive from the motel, than a short walk to take photos..

Horseshoe Bend just off HWY 89
You can stand on the edge and look over.

The first pic looks like gunsight / warm creek it is really close to you. If you want to see a really neat spot / hike that is short go to lower antelope canyon.

Dave, off topic but what top end have you seen in that 270?

71 mph on gps with 24’s on the limiters. Full tank 5 guys in boat.

I put 26’s on it but had the Bimini up all last weekend. I think it will run 75-76 pretty easily with the 26’s.

All said and done after we raise the drives up a little and get props that are dialed it will run somewhere around 79-84 mph if I had to put a number on it.

Realistically it’s a better cruiser than a high speed runner, but it will hold its own in most lake races..

The amount of stuff you can put in the boat is incredible.. the kids love the vee birth and the rough water ability is out of this world.

When I was a kid we used to go to Powell many times/year. Look up the Glen Canyon tour schedule, as a kid, it was very cool to ride the elevator down and watch the big generators spin.

As others said, First pic is gunsight point on your left a little ways up the lake. Make sure you have a map with you it will have a lot of information on it.

Buy a map and make sure you know where you are (mile markers) and watch the weather.

Saw multiple DCBs and other nice boats rolling in today along the way back.

The first pic looks like gunsight / warm creek it is really close to you. If you want to see a really neat spot / hike that is short go to lower antelope canyon.
