We did it we are getting out of California we put an offer in on a house in Bullhead and our house went on the market yesterday

How exciting! Starting a new chapter in your lives.

The new house looks great……. 3 car garage with rv parking. What more do you need?

My wife and I happy for you guys. We are looking forward to taking you guys boating again, the next time you are out our way.

Enjoy the process of moving. It is what you make of it, that will determine if it’s a positive experience or not. Take your time getting to know the area…….. in just a very short time, you will know every street like the back of your hand. The original move will soon become a distant memory. Both the good and the bad.

I can't go yet because I have two kids in college and I am in the middle of them sort of. Just need to have their OG home available when they need it.

Why Bullhead?
Have you spent any time in that area?
I would highly suggest Havasu to anyone looking from out of town.

We are full timers in Bullhead. Its not the old Bullhead that it used to be. Its a great town with alot of great shops that have moved into town. The offroading during the winter is awesome too. That looks like McCormick or Fox Creek area. Nice area of homes. Buy that box trailer from my buddy Rick and use it to move everything then sell it.

Yep I prefer bullhead offroading over havasu these days. Way more to see and get to. Not as bad on the washboard

I started my CalExit last year, actually several years ago.
We've had a house/trailer in Golden Shores for 24 years, moved all my cars to AZ, and several years ago moved my DL to AZ. We sold our home in Cali a few years ago and have downsized and rented a little beach bungalow since 2022.
Last year we bought a new home, still in Golden Shores, but on a 1.3 acre lot, with a view, a heated and Air conditioned 2500sq/ft shop already on the lot, and we just finished our pool last month. https://www.riverdavesplace.com/forums/threads/pool-time.289088/

I'll be retiring in the beginning of 2025 and moving out there fulltime.

I get a lot of questions about why Golden Shores and not Havasu. Like you, I can't afford what I want/need in Havasu as far as home, and mainly lot size.
Golden Shores also gives me built in friends between people who live there, and friends who all have homes there. My kids love it, so they'll always visit, and we kept the original place for them to use. I can offroad pretty much ANYWHERE right from my lot, I can launch in 10 minutes max with zero traffic or crowded launch lanes, and we don't have a stop light or anything. It's pretty rural, with enough stuff close to keep us stocked up.

Good luck on your move, I think you're gonna be super happy on your decision.
