Welcome
We bought here in 2002 an became full time 2005. Other than having to work out of town for a few years we've enjoyed it here.
Not to sure about the wind Joker is referring to because it only blows twice a year, 6 months from the North and 6 months from the South, even at that it's a great place to live. 👍

My wife says the only time the wind wasn’t blowing was when we bought our house there.

I will have my wife ask her co workers at the hospital if there bunco players or groups around the area.

Lol, I've played bunco twice in my life, both in Havasu, and ended up being the big winner both times. Over $100 each time.😁
.
With the right group of people it can be fun. Starting her own may be the best path to take 🤷‍♂️ never know.

Getting out from under Newscum and his party’s failed policies is pretty liberating.
You’re lucky you’re moving fairly close to where you’re from.
About 5 1/2 hours mrs beerrun has to come back once a month for a day in the office for now we think this will be short lived

Ok I can't sleep update Sunday night mrs beerrun and I in bed talking decided the house we have in escrow is not it there are lots of things wrong with it that the owners don't want to fix or credit us so we walked away Monday morning. Now the problem is we will be homeless on January 21st we are going out this afternoon to look at a house that our realtor says is what we are looking for fingers crossed

I wouldn't rush it. If you cannot find what you are looking for then rent something while you continue your search. Everything will work itself out the way it is supposed to be.

Look at the condos up in Laughlin ranch for a rental until something is found.

Where’s the new place at? We had a house for sale on our street for a couple years and they just rented it out. I believe it was 380k with a ton of room to add on.

2 Questions for you desert dwellers.
In Fl I want my back yard to face north/north east to be able to enjoy it and not be blasted by the setting sun, do you worry about that in the desert?

When temps are 110 plus how cold can you get a house like that, and how much is the electric bill?

In Havasu our backyard, pool, LR, MBR and kitchen face ESE. That works well for us. Keeps the later afternoon blazing sun away from those areas. Proper use of ceiling fans, good insulation and size of AC units allows us to keep comfortable temps in our 2,400 sq ft house. Max $$ was probably last July. Our elect bill hit $400 for just that month. Thermo set at 75.

… if I wasn’t such a crippled up old geezer… I would be out of here… North Hollywood, California is not a garden spot of the world …For that matter I might be back up at my Lake Oroville property… Can’t do that because it all burned to the ground🤷🏽‍♀️

That's a pretty nice community like I said my dad lives around the corner on Desert Trail. Don't know if you need boat storage too but the lady that owns the one right before the gates is super awesome to deal with. I have my boat stored in my dad's RV garage and rented one of her smaller units for his 21-ft Ultra.

Whoever lives behind the new storage across from mavericks has to be pissed that metal monstrosity blocked their views.

Can your dad have an RV beside his house in that development

I'm not sure. He has an rv garage with no side yard. I don't think they allow street parking they' probably don't unless behind a closed gate.

I hope you are right. Right now mrs beerrun is freaking out
Understandably so. We were owners of 2 homes for a bit. Cost us both a lot of sleep. It all worked out for the best and we ended up in a pretty nice situation when it was all done playing out.

They are building behind us in bullhead. I should have bought that damn lot 10 years ago. Oh well they can pay the hoa fees and deal with the stupid gates and me 😂😂 they paid way too much imo but I guess the economy isn’t all that bad
